  • Okay so when i do this it still wont work and when it is on my camera (canon ftb) it still wont work so i am guessing it is stuck due to oil or something in that world. Can any one tell me a easy fix or trick or by any chance how to take the lens apart so i can fix it..

  • Could someone post a video on how to go back to the default state? I didn't realize that I can't mount the lens onto an adapter after having done this and now I'm screwed :( Tried doing the steps in reverse but the pins don't depress any further..

  • After i change it into manual, i can put it back on my camera body (Canon AE-1). any reason?

  • Thank you so much, this was very helpful, although it took me almost half and hour to get it right,

  • my fd 50mm f1.8 has a minimum stop at f6 and i got a hold of it to specifically shoot in low light. how do i fix to enable f1.8!?

  • After that, lens cannot be mounted on the camera body, since rotation on the lens base, assumes that camera is already mounted.

  • @ahervert551 Just do the opposite of what this video showed. Twist the inner part the other way and it will click back into its original state.

  • Thank you!!! i just got a 50mm fd f1.4 lens.. couldn't figure out the aperture. thought i got a bad purchase... im a nub

  • @Ectdog1 please explain...i have a couple of fd lens that use w my T2i...i cant get it to change apertures!
