@mario1136 Chris Poland isn't over rated and he has AMAZING TALENT. He played on Megadeth's first two records, i doubt you or anyone else has heard of him but he has done a full solo album as well but he plays in a band now called OHM. He is influenced by Jazz but he does a lot more than Wah over and over. I enjoy kirk's playing on the first three records very much, but Chris can make the solo's sound different and have it's own feel than the pentatonic scale over and over.

Kirk played solo and sometimes had riffs but compare wake up dead (last solo) to your kirk hammet solo of choice.

@joaopedrobroa é uma viadagem do caralho mesmo, mas a explicação disso é que devido aos palm mutes exagerados [metallica tem MUITO palm mute, óbvio] e aos shows excessivos, o kirk usa a fita pra proteger a mão e evitar cortes e/ou acidentes. Viu o show do Ozzy em 2008 aqui no brasil? a mão do Zakk sangrando? justamente pra não acontecer aquilo :D

Moustain es disque rapido por que solamente se queda como 5 o 6 trastes. Al contrario Kirk mueve los dedos por todo el mastil, sepan escuchar y ver no solamente cuenta la velocidad tambien vale la originalidad y como llegas a ese solo no como los de Moustain que casi siempre son iguales porfavor no me hagan reir jajajajajja y el que diga que Moustain es mejor pues esta bien pero no esta siendo analitico y tiene una mentalidad mediocre xD y no me respondan con mamadas porfavor...........

You don't have to shred like John Petucci to be a great guitarist. Just like Jimi Hendrix didn't shred and sweep pick, bu the reason he was considered one of the best guitarists ever was because he was a huge influence and had plenty of talent.
Kirk Hammett is the Jimi Hendrix of heavy metal. Fuck Kerry King, Chris Broderick, Dave Mustaine, and those other guitarists (they are good, but so fucking overrated.)

@mario1136 Chris Poland isn't over rated and he has AMAZING TALENT. He played on Megadeth's first two records, i doubt you or anyone else has heard of him but he has done a full solo album as well but he plays in a band now called OHM. He is influenced by Jazz but he does a lot more than Wah over and over. I enjoy kirk's playing on the first three records very much, but Chris can make the solo's sound different and have it's own feel than the pentatonic scale over and over.

I think Kirk is more over rated than any of the guitarist you mentioned. All because he plays in Metallica. I like kirk, and metallica is one of my favorite bands but Kirk's stuff after ajfa was to similar and irritating, im sure you have heard all of this before.

With that being said complexity doesn't make a good solo but if you want to compare skill dave was far fetched. Remember dave wrote every song on megadeth's first three records, riffs, solo's lyrics. Kirk played solo and sometimes had riffs but compare wake up dead (last solo) to your kirk hammet solo of choice.

Best thrash musicians are by far Dave Mustaine, Chuck Schuldiner from Death and Jeff Waters from Annhilator.
Metallica riffs were only impressive in MOP and Justice albums. Ever since then they went downhill.
Pantera is awesome but i never considered them as thrash band.
