hey guys how do u use ur queen to spawn larva while ur looking at a battle between u and ur opponent without having to click ur queen to spawn larva on the hatchery itself?? im confused

@omfgitzalex click your queen hotkey(hopefully all the queens that are on Larva duty that you have) and just hold Shift then press V, click on the minimap near where your hatch/lair/hive is. The cursor should turn from grey to green, that means you can put Larva onto the Hatch. If you have been holding shift the whole time, you just need to click on the minimap for all your hatches and won't have to push V every time.

I like the player cam idea very much. For me at least this was exactly at the right level - all of this I either do or know I should be doing, and it was very useful to be able to see it all done properly and cleanly.

One thing, I'd vote for NOT showing us any unit tabs or similar - I think the video is more useful (to me anyway) if we can't "cheat" by seeing what the Terran is building, it's more useful to watch the decisions the zerg player makes based on the information she actually has.

Great idea! Only suggestion I have is to not go light on strategy talk in these videos; it's the best part :) I especially like that, since they're not perfect, you'll have lots to critique in these videos.

My suggestion Force, is that you should put some sort of censor bar over the top of the opponents production tab; kind of how you hide the replay control panel with the Force overlay. I think that would be pretty simple, and it does make sense for us to be able to see exactly what he's making, since as a player... we know what we're making :)

nice idea, allthough i would agree to biore that you are unable to point out important things the player misses. maybe do players cam and stop the video once or twice, if something important happened that cannot be shown with that vision, i think that would be a great idea.

I definitely think this is a good idea. And about the Spawn larva thing, will the AI always use the nearest queen? I can imagine a very annoying situation where the queens swap hatcheries every so often... Also does anyone know of any good micro training maps or custom games, I'm sick of rolling banelings into a thor whilst a marine ball eats up my mutas.

I don't like this for a few reasons. One is, when only in player view Force is unable to point out things the player is missing, such as when there was a position the player wasn't looking at that Force wanted to talk about. Another reason is that with the highly skilled players we see a lot of camera jerking as they hop back and forth between bases and so on. Finally it seems to me that the same can be achieved by going into player view but still controlling the camera.

Anyway there's always the regular videos... there's so much of them, I'm pretty sure these particular strategies have been done already by force, so he can only concentrate on the player's view! Probably shouldn't open the production tab for these. While the focus player is well aware of what they're producing they don't know what the opponent is. Although your viewers are quite capable of ignoring the production tab too I guess.

It would be nice to hear some tips on how to stay on top of your macro - how often you should be building supply units, what things you should be doing to maintain control, etc.

One thing I do is if I have a worker I want to remain in spot for a while, I'll put him on patrol - that way, he doesn't show up in the "idle workers" section. I've trained myself so that anytime I see that icon come up, I deal it with it straightaway.

He wasn't doing some funky 1 base stuff and could have just backed off and kept his lead. Although maybe I'm wrong and don't know this specific build. I would be interested to see how this game would have played out if the terran spotted the Nydus worm and reacted faster.

You need to have your Queens hot keyed (they should be regardless).

Hit the hot key for your Queen, whatever you set it to. (Most players go with 4 or 5)

Hit 'V' for spew larva

Click on the minimap where your Hatchery is located.

Interesting, I didn't know about the queen larva thing. I always watch player cams in replays so I enjoyed this with the commentary. Could you next time keep your own voice volume up though? Sometimes during hefty battles the sound effects overwhelm your voice. Keep up the great work!
