Listen to Ella's original and notice the feeling the rawness of the delivery. Beyonce is a great pop and sometimes good R&B singer but she is no SOUL singer. They are both great! Beyonce is at an advantage as she did a remake of the original song. They are from two different eras... so really you can't compare the two. What was liked back then is different from what's liked today.
