i really hope there's a newgame + mode where u start the game over at the level u ended and can playthrough it differently without having to build everything back up from scratch.
also, you might be interested to know that elder scrolls oblivion on PC had mods that swapped out spiders for different creatures in case they make you uncomfortable. apparently it was a pretty common thing. anyway, it probably won't be long before similar mods are up for skyrim on PC - thought you'd like to know if you haven't bought the game yet.
p.s. this is a game about fucking vikings, of course you'll want to buy it!
the floating torch isn't a bug. if you press and hold down the Pick Up button while looking at an item, instead of putting it in your inventory it will allow you to physically move the item around without actually picking it up. this can be useful for moving items you want to steal out of view of their owners, or carrying valuable/heavy items to vendors to sell when your inventory is full. just thought you should know that, while skyrim has its bugs, this isn't one of them. and btw great vid
for your curiousities sake it would be wise to really play the game in FPview because there are - for example - many books lying around, some of them you cant even see quite right when you are in FPview, like a beige book on a beige shelf or whatever.
but they are not only interesting to read, they are also quite helpfull and you also gain exp or even new skills etc
I love Skyrim and the fact that you can just roam around in that world and be who you want and do what you want when you want. And Skyrim offers the player to do just that.
My experience with skyrim (FYI, PC version but using a 360 controller) has been really good so far. I´ve spent around 20-23 hours now and this game seems like it could go on forever. As soon as i got into this rich world I was all like "I´m never going back to new vegas or fallout 3 again, Bethesda better start doing their games like THIS one".
Truely a much more solid, streamlined, fun and interesting world to play in. Last but not least, first person is MUCH more precise for battle.
Play 6 hours of any call of duty game and youre done playing
Play 6 hours of Skyrim and youre still in the character creation screen
Ive played the game for 50 something hours so far and Im far from even exploring half the world yet and im only on done 7 main quests. And this is my first character mind you, im going to play through the game 2 more times as different classes/alignments
Im just loving this game in all its glory, goty for me no questions
I didn't know these videos were spoiler free, so I haven't watched any before. I've already played the game for 40+ hours, so I figured it would be ok to watch this without worrying about the plot and whatnot.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that this was a really entertaining video, and I agree with most of what you say. However, what you said about the torch howering in front of you is not a glitch. You can manipulate items by holding down X (A on Xbox360).
I just finished the episode and i love it! Just like all new game smell's! You are a very entertaining guy! I realy think you should buy this game. I think it's the best elder scrolls yet and i cant stop playing! Btw: sorry if my english is bad :-) rock on
And also brent, if you dont know this by now: you can use the cross pad for favorite things like weapons and lets say healing potions. And left/right are for to hotkey thing if you need health very quickly or whatever :-)
The PlayStation 3 version actually has some performance issues. They only occur if you play the game for expanded periods of time in one session, like 3 hours, but keep getting worse. Many players have experienced this issue, whereas some others haven't. Bethesda is currently addressing it, though. They said that they'll release an update for all platforms soon.
Nice, Personally I love skyrim more than oblivion the only thing that bugs me now and then is the inventroy system on the pc. However that is the only thing I had problem with
I have not watched this vid yet (i'm at work :-) ) but i will when i'm home. I very much looking forward to it!! Just listend to the latest episode of the axe factor and now i cant wait :-)!! I also cant wait to get back home playing with my nord archer/wizard... His name is brent :-)))
Too bad you didn't play morrowind or Oblivion, both of those games had that magic that you described in the end of this video.
Exploration , tons of quests, character creation.
When I see Skyrim I see so many places that remind me of Oblivion.
One particular quest in Oblivion you traveled inside an oil painting where the world took on a Edvard Munch tapestry with crazy colored trees and sky. It was one of the most memorable side missions in all of Elder Scrolls games.
lol i dont think that torch floating around was a glitch, if you hold down that button youre able to move stuff around that way rather than having it go into your inventory
Happy birthday brent!

My experience with Skyrim: 58 hours in, nowhere near the end, loving it. Haven't even been in all the major cities yet.
