I've got one of these as my first guitars when I didn't know anything about it... at first I thought It was crap, but the cheap pickups give tht extra bit of edge which is great, for what I play: alternative/blues/electro/weird stuff so I now use it more than my other guitars :D
I bought an encore les paul style, black and cream. £140 and it's really good, i ahve an obsession with les pauls... but im still in school so i hardly had thousands to throw around on just a guitar, so i went for a cheaper model and it's just as good. To anybody considering one of these, if you would rather not spend tons on a gibson or a couple fo hundred on an epiphone, just pick up one of these :]
Ive recently got an Encore Les Paul Copy, and ive been playing years, i was curious about the sound and in my opinion it sounds excellent, i have a Gibson Les Paul and it obviously doesn't have the same quality that a Gibson does but to say this is a beginners guitar its great and id also reccomend it to people who have been playing ages but cant afford an expensive guitar.
Its best played Clean though rather than distorted as it doesnt quite have that heavy metal style.
can these sound as good as epiphone or gibson? i'm looking for a guitar that does the deep crunch or echo effect. but i dont have lots of money so i was hoping an encore would do the trick.
No do not go for this guitar if you want a quality tone. This is just for beginners. Trust me i've got it and now i'm hoping to move onto a better guitar.
Also Crunch and Echo will depend on your amps and effects.
Is this for real? Are you really getting that sound from an Encore? The filmings a bit jerky so it's difficult to tell if you are actually playing or just taking the p**s.
what guitar is this? is it the les paul special 2

ok, thanks dude.
Enjoiskateboarding01 3 years ago
Not for me, but the pickups aren't the best, the paint job is a fingerprint magnet and scratches easily.
IndianMetalHead333 3 years ago
