This has to be one of the best sing-offs, although emilie may have struggled with the octave dips; her harmony was out of this world! She is an amazing singer and unfortunately the song choices didn't suit her early broadway tonality. Sophie was also brilliant, but I think her tone is at times a tad mundane, but still a cracking singer! I wish people would mocking her teeth, you really need to get off your soap boxes and realise theres critisicm and sheer malicious spite.... *rant over* :-)

when they were singing this i could see what charlotte meant about emilie's tone of voice and some of the notes she sang were very pretty, like at 0.42 when she sings 'won a few more moments', it was really beautiful, if you know what i mean.
there were moments of a great voice that with training could turn into lots of great moments in the song.
I really didn't like EMilie's voice, I thought it always sounded a bit out, but she was improving rapidly and I think she does have a good career ahead. sad about stephanie going. and Jenny

they seem to like giving them "I know them so well" to sing ---probably because Webber's friend Tim Rice wrote the lyrics for it (and it's a wonderful duet probably one of the best in musical theatre)
I know this is going to make me very unpopular, but if I'm honest, Emilie was nothing more than an average singer, and from week to week showed this. Her head voice gave a sweet sound, but her chest voice was sharp and almost harsh on the ear. She was the 'wild card' for a reason.

Not a huge fan of either of these girls and thought that Emilie being in the sing-off was definitely right although Sophie was up for debate in my mind because I could think of two others who probably had weak performances. Emilie is good, but she needs to learn vocal control which will come because she is still young and learning and this would be a good experience to have. She has a good voice though. Sophie, I don't like her, don't hate her. She's good at the musical numbers.
This is unquestionably Sophie's best performance. Hopefully she will go from strength to strength and show you all exactly what she can do. When she's at ease she is amazing, she just needs them to pick her tidy songs. Well done! :-D x

Sophie was absolutely amazing in the sing off. She shouldn't have been there in the first place, though. She's the only dorothy that displays the right amount of innocence and vulnerability to play the role. i'm pretty sure Andrew Lloyd Webber will already know which one or two of the girls he wants to be Dorothy, and really the public has little power over it.. because he can just keep saving the girl he wants to be Dorothy if she ends up in the sing off.
I was undecided when it came to this sing off. I honestly couldn't call it on these performances and I don't think ALW could neither and had to base it on other things.
Emily seems to sing better with less choreography.

they seem to like giving them "I know them so well" to sing ---probably because Webber's friend Tim Rice wrote the lyrics for it (and it's a wonderful duet probably one of the best in musical theatre)

@WiwerGoch um no he didn't! Benny Anderson and the other guy (can't remember his name) from ABBA wrote the music to chess ---Rice wrote the lyrics.
Andrew was working on Phantom at the time of Chess's stage preview

I know this is going to make me very unpopular, but if I'm honest, Emilie was nothing more than an average singer, and from week to week showed this. Her head voice gave a sweet sound, but her chest voice was sharp and almost harsh on the ear. She was the 'wild card' for a reason.

Emilie was so much better in this particular sing off! However, in the actual weekly performances she was the weakest and deserved to go. Sophie will hopfully be next to go!

I wish Emilie had sang like this the whole time! I'd much rather listen to her vocals here than Sophie's. And Sophie is still a blank canvas whilst performing. Noo feeling there whatsoever.

They both proved themselves in this performence! And did amasing! Even Emilie! I was never a fan of her vocal but this performence proved that it was the songs she was given and did great! Sophie is AMASING! And im glad she was saved but they were both amasing and im sad to think they were the bottom 2. Saddest sing off so far

Not a huge fan of either of these girls and thought that Emilie being in the sing-off was definitely right although Sophie was up for debate in my mind because I could think of two others who probably had weak performances. Emilie is good, but she needs to learn vocal control which will come because she is still young and learning and this would be a good experience to have. She has a good voice though. Sophie, I don't like her, don't hate her. She's good at the musical numbers.

im not a very big fan of sophie or emilie, i think sophie looks the part but still has a lot of work to do vocally, although on this song i think she sang and acted it out very well and out of the two of them sophie 100% deserved to go through. I don't really think emilie is a very good singer, that's just my personal opinon. Stephanie or Danielle to win (:

Sophie was absolutely amazing in the sing off. She shouldn't have been there in the first place, though. She's the only dorothy that displays the right amount of innocence and vulnerability to play the role. She's an absolutely amazing person, has been dreaming of this her entire life and really deserves this. C'mon Soph. We're all behind you and really believe you can do this! VOTE SOPHIE!!!

i'm pretty sure Andrew Lloyd Webber will already know which one or two of the girls he wants to be Dorothy, and really the public has little power over it.. because he can just keep saving the girl he wants to be Dorothy if she ends up in the sing off.

I was undecided when it came to this sing off. I honestly couldn't call it on these performances and I don't think ALW could neither and had to base it on other things.
Emily seems to sing better with less choreography.

I didn't like Emilie's voice but she was actually really good in this but I think Sophie deserved to stay in though. I think Jenny should have been in the bottom 2 instead of Sophie though.
