There were few Osetian families living in Tskhinvali by late nineteenth and early twentieth century, which obviously makes it clear that Tskhinvali region was not and is not Osetian land, but part of Georgia.

G. government was offering abkhazians and ossetians wide autonomy under the international guarantee, the level of autonomy that neither of Russian Federation party would ever dream of. By building roads and infrastructure G. government was trying to show them and the whole world -- this is what we are going to do in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali region. And what we get from russian-backed separatists in response? Bullets and shells. So we hadn't been left much option.

Russians had no right to judge and punish Georgia. If Georgia was wrong it must have been proven first and then the UN or other international organisations would have made dicisions. Who is Russia to act like an arbitrator?
Remeber Russian behavior throughout there history - including Soviet Union - and thus make your judgments.

S. Ossetia proclained it's independence from georgia in 1989, before USSR collapsed. Shortly after georgia started ethnic cleansing there and a war began (the same situation is for Abkhazia). And once again, in 2008, your nazi leader made the same mistake. But the сonsequences were not expected by that coward.
Whole world showed georgian TV picture where georgia fired GRAD.
