  • What a greedy idiot.

  • Rand Paul is great and we need him to continue to fight for the people

  • In other words, please don't become a politician.

  • Hey Rand. I appreciate your words, but at the same time I think this is what differentiates you from your dad. Your dad does not feel the need to jump on every opportunity to make a political point. He is secure enough to realize that we can opine about issues like the SOTU without having to be reminded that its bad. He trusts that we can think for ourselves. Don't feel the need to persuade us to follow you. Your dad didn't, instead he drew us to him. Do the same, and follow in his footsteps.

  • the Sword of Democles... love it!

  • REAGAN

  • when ron reagon was president I could afford to go to college and I had a full time job. Now If I wanted to go back to school there is no way I could pay my own way and I am unemployed; I am 45 years old white and have a ba in advertising a minor in marketing and a minor in economics and graduated at the top of my class from a respected university.

  • Obamas helthcare plan can suck my DICK

  • @ThePerkelator You got it the wrong way around, Obama is a liar.

  • Rand Paul is a Liar.

"Democrats in Washington have a conundrum. You see, they truly believe that government is the answer to all our economic and social ills." --Rand Paul

"I'm a Democrat. But I believe what Republican Abraham Lincoln believed: That government should do for people only what they cannot do better by themselves, and no more. (Applause.)" --President Obama

  • @ThePerkelator Right...where in Obama's quote does he say anything that refutes what Rand is saying? Get your head out of the sand

  • @x13nick13x Really? I quoted it right in my response. Please try to read past the first line next time, you won't embarrass yourself.

  • @ThePerkelator What everybody else said, douchebag.

  • @x13nick13x Thanks for signing your comment with your real name. Having to go through life with a name like "douchebag" explains a lot about your miserable countenance.

  • @ThePerkelator ...clever? haha way to disregard any intelligent comeback. i think we're done here.

  • @ThePerkelator The point is that his rhetoric doesn't align with his actions. He (Obama) seems intent on having the government do things at which they are completely inadequate and which people can, themselves, do much better.

  • @ThePerkelator

Abraham wasn't a Democrat he was a Republican. Also, how is Rand Paul a Liar? You haven't argued your point, goback2school.

  • @ninjaseatvegies Simple. Rand Paul is propagating a myth for political purposes. This is why he's more like Mitt and Newt than his father, Ron. The President simply doesn't believe that "government is the answer to all our economic and social ills." That's what's known as hyperbole, and an insult to our intelligence. Not only does he say he doesn't explicitly in the SOTU, but his actions also show that he favors govt oversight of business not government instead of business.

  • @ThePerkelator Rand Paul isn't really lying. Maybe Obama actually believes what he said, but his actions as are president don't really let that shine through... As bloated as our government is, he wants it bigger! Maybe Obama thinks were helpless?

  • Oh, woe is me. My life is a mystery. And, can't you see, that I'm at the start of a pretty big downer?"

  • relevant.

  • Ron Paul 2012 and Rand Paul 2016!

  • @zombiefitnezz You must be a Liberal and/or progressive, mind you friend, I will fight against your ideology.

  • 9/11 Ripple Effect. Someone in Hollywood should inform the public that YouTube is keeping the video (9/11 Ripple Effect) at a ridiculously low viewcount. Maybe then YouTube will be forced to fix this "coincidence".

  • Go Rand Go...Set the Senate straight! You truely are you father's son. I support a filibuster to raise the debt ceiling too. You had the best budget idea in the Senate with your $500 Billion in cuts. Keep fighting for Liberty...we need many more in gov't like you.

  • It is time to grow up and get off the childish "my team" mentality. We need to be focusing on the looming crisis, not make futile points on how it came about. As with entitlements and welfare?... I think it's time to hop off the free ride. Who is making any attempt to repair, or reform? Ryan and a few others. Decatur?...Wow,do you truly know much about what you type here? With some investigation, I would think your face would turn red from embarrassment.

  • Why does he not make it better if he is getting paid for it , and yes I agree with 702decatur !

  • I love how he says "Democrats" love to spend other peoples money. So is he saying that Republicans don't love to spend other peoples money?

This guy is just as stupid as his dad..

  • @702decatur I don't believe he thinks the Rep. party is the answer at all. Ron Paul has fallen under the Libertarian party before, and if you recall what he said after the Rep. primary debate with Hannity, he said the Rep. party was our of touch with what it used to be, anti-war, in the cases of Vietnam and Korea Republicans have gotten us out of wars. There is very little policy difference between in policy between the two parties, and I respectfully urge you to consider what they're saying.

  • @nathan9384 You sound like a reasonable person so let me ask you this, eventhough Ron and Ran Paul claim to be Libertarian or Tea party they still have to run as Republican and bring with them all of the backend mechanics of that party. This is a hard lesson that even Obama is learning now. Now if you are all about following what people say well Ron Paul supports milliions of dollars in prok spending and earmarks? In short how do you support someone who says one thing but does another?

  • @702decatur I'm not familiar with how they support pork, though I would not put it past any politician to have pork they want pushed through. I remember a speech Rand gave directly to the tea party, congratulating them and giving them credit for ending earmarks. I'll certainly take the time to try to find out if he intentionally mislead people when he said that. Thanks for the reply.

  • WHAT WILL YOU CUT PAUL???? DROP THE EMO DRAMA BOY AND TELL US WHAT YOU WILL CUT.

  • Ron, Rand and hopefully soon Robert Paul will rock D.C. 2012 will prove to be pivotal in the history of this nation and probably the very last chance Americans will have to save this country. It's time to STOP kicking the can down the road.

  • you got my vote

  • So Rand Paul Hates old people and loves letting big companies like Google and Walmart pay ZERO taxes... I love how he points at Clinton who actually left a budget surplus and not the other Republican presidents who ran up the debt... I get it... This guy is as stupid as his dad..

  • @702decatur

Except the clinton ecomony was a sham.

  • @702decatur Thats funny, because I didn't hear him say google or walmart once. I didn't hear him say he wanted to hurt old people either. In fact, his 5 year budget balance plan didn't touch any of the entitlements. It left social security and medicare in tact, and yet it still balanced the budget in 5 years. You know, I'd go even further to say that you didn't research his positions or actions at all and just threw a republican stereotype on him. Do you like spreading misinformation?

  • @702decatur I know right, The one President in modern times who balanced the budget. He owes Clinton an apology or needs to learn the facts.

Just like all other repubs they never cut anything and when they talk about it they never specify.

  • @guidi2005 Oh yes, because Clinton did so much for the housing market by super-inflating it and forcing banks to give people loans they couldn't pay for. Clinton was a huge benefactor of financial policies put in place by Reagan, and I strongly urge you to consider that the incumbent is often not responsible to the economic times. I'm certainly not suggesting the present day Republican party would fix the economy, both parties suck.

  • RAND PAUL, I like him, glad a donate $25. to his campaign. First time in decades

I have not regretted donating to a candidate.

  • oh and I would say that 97% drop in value of our currency is pretty much "destroyed" but hey we still got that 3% right!!? (sarcastic thumbs up and wink)

  • Actually Rand Dept after Clinton was 5.7 Trillion Dept after bush was 10.7 and now with Obama if you omit that the Tarp and the 2 wars Bush started are being counted for Obama is 14.2. and rising. I wish someone would calculate the overflow of the dept that Bush left for Obama to pick up the tab for...

  • @JRMCNEA no one is disagreeing that the two wars and Bush's 700 billion dollar stimulus didn't add to the debt, the problem is obama has picked up that tab and added a lucrative amount to it.

  • @UBSCARED We all hope he's wrong because if he isn't we are in for some VERY hard times. You feel he is lying because he doesn't agree with you?? Can people not have a difference of opinion anymore?

  • I love the Tea Party Patriots, quoting Reagan at every turn. Rand is right, government is the enemy--when it is big and given a big checkbook. . . . .

  • Rand and Ron are the 2 greatest men in our government ever!! Please spread the word!

  • @UBSCARED

Yes. Just keep maxing out those cards. So Long as the bills get paid right? It will lead to ruin sooner or later.

  • how if wish Rand would become president as long as he does'nt have a secret meeting with the Bilderberg group he'll be good in my book

  • Rand Paul 2012

  • He's right!

  • Why doesn't the Speaker of the House vocalize what Rand Paul says?!

  • rand, please take time help those ( like minded ) into office

  • He's not as good as his Father, but if Ron Paul runs and him as VP Ill vote for them

  • Dr. Paul please filibuster the debt ceiling vote

Don't GIVE UP!! And Do your best

Respect all the way from Los Angeles, California

  • 46 people with their heads in the sand.

  • @atm2462 More 6...it seems US people really like slavery..

  • @atm2462 its 56 now :o

  • oppose*

  • 46 people opose liberty

  • I'd rather slam my penis through a car door then even watch "Iran" Paul speak!

  • @ProgressiveInAmerica PLEASE DO THAT. DARWIN AWARDS ARE NOT JUST GIVEN TO PEOPLE WHO DIE, BUT WHO ENRICH OUR GENE POOL BY NOT REPRODUCING.

  • @JimmyPyeahUknowMe lick my buttcrack

  • @UBSCARED Let me get this straight, the fed can't charge interest but 40% of the interest paid to it was sent back to the treasury. What happened to the other 60%? The fed is prohibited by law from lending $ to the gov., but can lend $ to other private banks and send the bill to the taxpayers without congressional approval. The fed is prohibited by law (the constitution) from exercising control over US $ policy but it does anyway.

Say hi to King Friday and Henrietta Pussycat for me would you.

  • @UBSCARED Wages don't increase anywhere near the rising cost of the daily necessities. The only liability which inflation would have any "positive effect would be a long term mortgage, which is over-shadowed by the rising cost of "cash" purchases. If one has no debt, one is screwed (for lack of a better term) by inflation. Inflation is a hidden tax sucking the life out of peoples savings and retirement accounts which is why Democrats love it.

  • Who the fuck says "sword of dameclies"? This dude is fucking weird

  • @pennjersey83 So, you're basically saying that you were offended by a big word. Go troll somewhere else please.

  • @Nekura42

"So, you're basically saying that you were offended by a big word. Go troll somewhere else please"

No, im offended at the libertarian mindset of cutting spending everywhere. I served in the Air Force for 6 years and got an honorable discharge. I use the GI Bill to go to school. Obama has already cut the GI bill in my state, NY. I have to switch schools and lose credits. Libertarians want to cut all assistance and that worries me. I earned my GI Bill.

  • @pennjersey83 Yeah intelligence is offensive to you libtards isn't it?

  • @pennjersey83 He also said "stultifying". Yeah what kind of person talks like that? I think that's why liberals hate this guy... it's because he makes them feel stupid when they can't understand a word he says. Just go back to the kiddy table boys and girls. Adults are speaking right now.

  • thumbs up if you want Rand to filibuster the vote to raise the debt ceiling

  • @UBSCARED How does inflation raise my wages? Again, reality check.

  • @UBSCARED Your posts don't coincide with reality or the governments own information. FACT every dollar that comes off of the fed's printing press is loaned to the government at interest. FACT the fed itself admitted that the dollar today is worth about 5 cents of what it was in 1913 when the fed scam started. Even your own numbers don't back up what you claim. The real median income went up $1 per hour in ten years is a good thing? Compare that to the cost increase of basic necessities.

  • well as dear ole dad Ron gets older...this will be our shot at restoring the republic back to individual liberty WHEN WE ELECT RAND AS PRESIDENT

  • @UBSCARED Even going by the everything-is-ok smokescreen the government is good for, 5% doesn't even begin to cover the inflation (or loss of the dollar's buying power). Reagan also requested the investigation known as the Grace Commision - which you alone dismiss as fraudulent. You never did answer why we pay interest on our money supply.

  • @UBSCARED The dollar is overvalued and the moon is made of green cheese, the fed itself said the dollar is worth 5 cents compared to 1913 (the year they took over). Gold is the standard and fluctuates very little, what does change is the value of the currency used to purchase it - take a $20 bill and try to buy a $20 gold coin. A strong dollar affects imports and exports - declining union memberships and manufacturing is due to NAFTA & GATT etc. (cheap labor overseas).

  • Let's go Rand Paul!

  • "5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly."

    Communist Manifesto #5,

    Karl Marx & Fred. Engels

  • @UBSCARED "Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist system was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens... while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some... who are (then) the object of hatred."

    John Maynard Keynes

  • @UBSCARED The median wage has dropped 12.5 percent over the last 30 years. In the manufacturing sector the wages are even worse, increasing barely above 3% while the price of gas, food, and other necessities has in some cases more than doubled. You talk about the "real wage" increase? Our dollar is devalued to the point that China and others want a different currency with some countries actually refusing to take the US dollar in payment.

  • cut cut cut

  • Theft is like the elephant in the room. No one wants to talk about it. In NY they don't even pretend. I tried reporting a superintendents daughter who BOASTED about exactly how they funneled the money away. Nothing happened. But sometimes I wonder if the sudden 100% increase in my property tax was't a retaliatory action from some of her ''friends'' in local gov't...

And we all have similar stories.

How come no one wants to talk about it?

  • Comment removed

  • N.Y. collects more in payroll tax, income tax, property tax, sales tax, capital gains tax, tolls, lotto $...than...I think any gov't in any other part of the world. Combine all those taxes to get the number. For example one country may pay more in income tax but then they have no property and sales tax...etc...

We pay it all and at a very high rate.

    But NY is broke?

Let's just take all gov't officials to civil court and demand they pay back what we KNOW they stole.

    That'll fix it all

  • @UBSCARED I really hope that you don't rely on the CPI. It is so easily manipulated by the federal government and so badly reflects inflation that it shouldn't even be considered in a serious economic discussion. You should look at long term trend and real world examples that show that inflation due to government spending leads to a decrease in real wages.

  • @OldSchoolSkill Hi, you have a great channel. But, I don't think our spending problems are just from Military spending. Trust me: I see alot of State spending. and, it's a real problem.

  • This video was brilliant. But there's one little problem. I am NOT employed now. But, I'm not collecting anything. Therefore, I am not a statistic.

  • @UBSCARED So according to your arguments, Greece is living the good life.

  • @UBSCARED Inflation drives up the real wage? where do you get this crap? Your using some absract garbage that doesn't reflect the real world in any shape or form. Your whole argument is a bunch of smoke and mirrors, and you didn't answer any of my questions.

  • @zombiefitnezz It's more funny to spend the country into oblivion, we'll be laughing our way to financial collapse.

  • @UBSCARED Inflation REALLY helps my retirement account and my savings not to mention wages Never rise with inflation. Come back to reality. Does the FRB answer these questions:

Why would private banks invest without return (like you suggest)?

Why do we pay interest on our money supply that was printed out of thin air?

Why can't we get a full public audit of the fed?

Why does China want to dump the Dollar?

Regarding Jefferson, history is proving him right.

  • the people i know who bash rand paul all have one thing in common. they are all stupid sheeple who wont know what hit them when the econo-cataclysm comes.

  • @cary19642003- before your comment, I didn't know my youtube account worked, so thanks!

How is what he's saying a breath of fresh air? Haven't new members of Congress been saying this "we're gonna change Washington and reduce the size of government" stuff since the 80's?

Also I've researched where his campaign dollars come from so I do have SOME idea what I'm talking about. Sorry I'm not ecstatic that Koch industries and BP have another crony in our government.

  • i have huge respect for Ron Paul, especially what he said during the 2008 primaries took huge courage. But his son is a twerp and an industry hack. This guy opposes "big government" and his campaign contributors love that, because less regulation means they can go on polluting and mistreating their workers. He's basically fighting for the plutocratic ideal and dressing it up as populism.

  • @asdf1453 You have no idea what you are talking about. Shut the f up. Let the people with American good will speak now. I personally think what he is saying hits home and is a breath of fresh air at last!

  • nice.... :)

  • He's the anti-christ and I am a conservative!

  • P:Ron Paul and VP: Paul Ryan 2012

  • @UBSCARED you're an ignorant fuck. what you show is called normalcy bias. you're sad.

  • @UBSCARED "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks...will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Thomas Jefferson (suffering from gold bug paranoia)

  • @character654 Jefferson was showing that he'd learned from the past and knew that was has never worked will never work. Up will always be up and down will always be down.... you're insanely arrogant 654

  • I love it that the Tea Party has been stabbed in the back by the GOP. By that, I mean that the Republicans are proposing only $32 billion in cuts this year. The Tea Party, gentle ignorant souls that they are, were played like a harp by lobbyists like Dick Armey and Grover Norquist (Jack Abramoff's right hand man) who used them to get back a Republican majority so they can continue their insane plan of cutting taxes but not spending. Reagan proved you can have your cake and eat it too afterall

  • @UBSCARED You need to get your information from another source, do you really think that the people that are robbing us blind are going to admit to it? You'll just get more double-talk like the BS you're repeating. Get a copy of "The Creature From Jekyll Island".

  • @character654 You confusing the 12 regional banks for "The Federal Reserve System" The regional banks are part of the system, not the entire system.. They are independent and not a cartel. The seven-member Board of Governors is a federal agency and is the main governing body of the Federal Reserve System. It is charged with the overseeing of the 12 District Reserve Banks and setting national monetary policy. It also supervises and regulates the U.S. banking system in general.

  • "To cover the fact that a central bank is merely a cartel which has been legalized, its proponents had to lay down a thick smoke screen of technical jargon focusing always on how it would supposedly benefit commerce, the public, and the nation... there was not the slightest glimmer that underneath it all, was a master plan which was designed from top to bottom to serve private interests at the expense of the public... the system is merely a cartel with a government facade."

    G. Edward Griffin

  • @UBSCARED "It's "private" because the member banks own shares of it. It's not a Federal Agency. But to talk about it as if it is a private banking cartel is dead wrong."

    CONTRADICTION ALERT!

  • @UBSCARED - "CALLER - Am I mistaking that when the Federal Reserve Act was passed (on Christmas Eve) in 1913, it transferred the power to coin and issue our nation's money and to regulate the value thereof from Congress to a Private corporation. And my country now borrows what should be our own money from the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) plus interest. Is that correct and the debt can never be paid off under the current money system of country?

    FED EMPLOYEE - Basically, yes."

  • The titanic is sinking. We are half way in the water. There are no more life boats Mr. Paul.

  • To little to late. The Dollar is on the death bed. Has been since 2001. You are a better speaker than your father. Maybe you can run for President.

  • Love the work you do Rand!

  • free market fascism > libertarianism

  • yea hes going to fix everything? a politician wanting less goverment why did you run for senator if you want less goverment

  • @gringolocodelasc I agree, we need violent revolution insted.

  • @gringolocodelasc You're an idiot.

  • once people actually hear him speak, and stop listening to pundits analyze him, they will come to the side of liberty

  • I respect your view and agree we need to have a budget that is reasonable and the benefit of the people and for the people. We can not be the control of 100 countries. You guysmust stop the blame get to the and stop it..

  • Rand Paul is one of the few in Congress who "gets it" and is not afraid to speak out about the massive financial crises this country is "soon" headed into (I give the USA at most 2-5 more years before disaster hits, perhaps overnight due to 24 hour computer trading nowadays). Unfortunately, 2 more years to elect more people like him might be too late. Yes, his $500 Billion in cuts program is only a good start, we need $1,000 Billion more in cuts. But at least it's a start.

  • @UBSCARED "Examining the organization and function of the Federal Reserve Banks, and applying the relevant factors, we conclude that the Reserve Banks are not federal instrumentalities for purposes of the FTCA, but are independent, privately-owned and locally controlled corporations." [Lewis vs. U.S., 680 F. 2d 1239, 1241]"

  • @UBSCARED According to the Constitution, congress alone has the power to legislate, NOT the supreme court. Congress has the RESPONSIBILITY to coin money and regulate the value thereof. The federal reserve is most certainly a private banking cartel. Bernanke is NOT an elected official and should have NO power over our monetary system. We the people can't even get an audit of the fed.

  • Great response, Senator, and congratulations on your victory in November!

  • Even the brain damaged, ADD afflicted and foreigners know that Rand speaks the truth about the real state of the union.

The "change we can believe in " from obama turned out to be BS piling as high as our debt with promises of more to come!

Thanx Rand, now go kick some butt!

  • It is interesting to see that the republicans are putting the blame for the financial meltdown on president obama when it was george bush and his crowd that created this mess and then managed to get the tarp bill approved so that taxpayers would pay the bill for the business community allowing dolts to run their businesses into the ground. the bankers, insurance companies, oil companies and major food companies [all of whom are owned by the same people behind umbrella corporations] did this

  • Senator first off, all Welfare Social Security must be for the poor, Medicare for the poor. The poor is someone who cannot survive, then a means test for all others.

Social Security and any other welfare program must pay all that qualify the same amount so as to help the poor can live a somewhat normal life.

Tell the media and the stupid politicians that nobody pays into anything. That lie has been around for many decades. See Helvering v. Davis 1937 landmark decision about Social Security

  • @UBSCARED Yes the Constitution delegates our money supply to congress NOT a private central bank such as the federal reserve (who is not legally able to regulate ANYTHING). It is the private sector who creates jobs, the government is merely to protect their freedom to do so. In 1913 a dollar bought product X today it takes over $22 to purchase it. When prices rise that is inflation. Take your own advice on the Constitution.

  • problem is the liberals want to spend our country into destruction, how refreshing to hear good conservative speaking the truth, we need to get a fiscal conservative president back in power, one who will stand up to china, and the entitlement liberal free loaders. obama now owns this debt!!! stop blamming Bush!!!

  • @debz12180 I hate to tell you but Bush spent our way into major debt too. However Rand and Ron are constitutional conservatives and would most definately make great presidents.

  • Like Margaret Thatcher said, eventually you run out of other peoples' money.

  • Only politician I considered worth supporting, with my hard earned money.

  • I'm from Michigan and I donated to his campaign as well. I was more than glad to, look at the example he sets. Low budgets, conservative spending plans, with a perspective that looks well into the future (not just next election!). *Cough cough* President Obama.....

  • Gov't could raise taxes to 100% of someone's income, and it still wouldn't be enough.

  • How refreshing to hear a politician speak the truth.

  • For once, my political contributions went to electing a truly great senator. Don't forget on election day people! We need people like this in office. And more than that, we need to start to realize that WE the PEOPLE have the power. NOT a politician, or a fed reserve banker. If we embrace this thought, we will be on the road to recovery.

  • Word to all the progressives !... To quote your "anointed:" one......WE WON !

  • great. lets let the free market fuck over the poor and pollute the planet. the american way. freedom to piss in the pool. freedom to be obnoxious and greedy. freedom for the entitled. survival of the greediest. darwinism run amok. what a country.

  • @MrGobsmack you have a point. But, lets not forget what made our country so great. The ability to trade and make deals with other countries, but not befriend them. The ability to produce top notch goods that others WANT. The ability that we as a people can HAVE these things and not be a communist slave driven society. Put your "save the planet" argument aside for a minute and realize that America is under attack from all sides. Economic, military, and freedom.

  • @MrGobsmack oh shutup!!!!! this is land of opportunity you need to get off your lazy ass and work and maybe just maybe you might learn how to save some money and get ahead!!! many have done this in this country, you fuckn liberals are nothing but a bunch of cry babies and govt, free loaders

  • @debz12180 such nastiness. how do you know anything about me? i have been to sugar town i shook the sugar down. i am sitting pretty and not so greedy i want to keep it all to myself. the vitriol contained in your response is what is wrong with this country. try to be more a little more Christian.

  • I like his perpetually sweaty hair.

I have other things to say, but my inbox is already full to the brim with angry, ignorant responses from other comments.

  • @deficithawker you are NAIVE!! That's why you love Ayn Rand. You're a child.

After reading your post I see your statements are more representative of yourself than Rand... look in the mirror..its your type of thinking that's going to kill this country..

  • @deficithawker You're a cynic if you think doing the wrong thing for the right reasons is going to solve anything.

  • @UBSCARED It's always people heavily invested in the current price level that didn't recognize it was at that price because of an artificial and temporary external influence that think prices falling is the end of the world. It's just the end of THEIR world, but it's also the beginning of someone elses.

So zombiefitnezz thinks it's okay to artificially support wage levels that then cause those jobs beoutsourced to lower cost countries, leaving us with unemployment.

  • Looks like he ran over some good Kentucky road kill and put it on his head

  • Although I agree with what Rand says, I do wonder about his differentiating between Republicans and Democrats. Ron usually does not mention one particular party as being responsible for a certain problem, so I'm wondering if Rand believes in the "party" hoax, that Democrats are the ones jacking up the debt and size of government while Republicans are trying to do the opposite. Does anyone have any insight into this? Would appreciate it.

  • @zombiefitnezz Judd Greg is a statist douche that supports the federal reserve. Screw him and other pseudo fiscal conservatives that supported the Wall Street bailouts.

Paying people with money borrowed or fresh of the printing press to engage in non-productive activities doesn't help anything, it just postpones and magnifies the eventual correction. We need our cost structure to come back to earth so we can compete with the rest of the planet. Deflation necessarily follows inflation.

  • @zombiefitnezz Why does the debt limit HAVE to be raised? You think its impossible for the government to stop spending? We have too many people tied up in unproductive activities. We need to liberate that labor from all these Washington beurocracies, and drive the cost of labor down so they can work in factories making products people need to live on a competative basis. Rand wants $500B, not $100B cut. Thats real money even in DC.

  • @zombiefitnezz What you're suggesting might make sense in a world without the Fed, but since the Fed can buy Treasury debt without limit, they can control interest rates. But they haven't invented a new source of prosperity, all they've done is transfer wealth from the rest of the people with dollar denominated savings.

  • No government official can solve the problem of government. Government cannot be solved from the inside out.

check out stefbot's freedomain radio videos, and seasteading

  • @zombiefitnezz:

    "This moron doesn't understand...basic economics."

Well, surely his understanding of economics cannot be as bad as that of Keynesians who think a nation can spend its way to prosperity.

  • Please make all those spending cuts asap. However, do not cut funds to our ally Israel which sits surrounded by a sea of terrorist states. The Iranian threat is extremely serious since their mentally unstable leader is bent on reviving the caliphate and welcoming the Mahdi soon. If allowed, a nuclear solution will be Iran's choice once it has the ability. This must not happen.

  • @mercysmith:

America's aid financially HURTS Israel and helps its enemies, so yes, ALL foreign aid should be ended. It's just another form of welfare statism that needs to end.

Every Dollar of US Aid Costs Israel Up to 1.4 Dollars:

  • @Akatam0t0ma Thanks for the referral. It seems the conditions tied to the money are a problem. How is it called 'money going to Israel' if Egypt is receiving 2/3's? I agree that if the $'s are not needed or not going for the defense of Israel, then cut it. The condition of forcing them to purchase from the US is also problematic - though I understand it creates jobs here. BTW, I am just finishing 'They Must be Stopped" by Bridget Gabrielle (her 2nd book). So many Americans are clueless.

  • @mercysmith:

Actually, no, it does not really "create jobs" any more than Obama's stimulus plan. All the economic fallacies of government programs also apply in this case. Even if the funds were actually used to defend Israel, that would still be a poor reason to continue it. The idea of citizens of one country forced to pay citizens of another is bullshit to begin with. There is no rational reason whatsoever for America to continue spend its people's money on other countries.

  • @Akatam0t0ma I think we'll just have to disagree on this one. I look forward to the spending cuts the new Congress has promised - hope they carry through! Have a good day.

  • @mercysmith:

As for the threat from Islamic fundamentalists, as much as they are indeed our civilizations biggest external threat that should be taken seriously, I think if America and the rest of the west is to fall, it will not be due to external threats, but due to the atrocious economic policies of our ruling class, which wreck nations far worse than terrorists. A civilization cannot maintain its long term survival without sound economics, something which is seriously lacking these days.

  • @Akatam0t0ma I agree about the economics. If the U.S. economic policies are not changed & fast we are in great danger. Look at Greece, Spain, etc. +Consider our Chinese debt (Invest in Rosetta StoneMandarin version!) The Islamic threat facing the U.S. is no longer an external problem, but a very real one within our country. The Saudis are purchasing large portions of US corporations, land, etc, funding the MB & numerous other 'nice' 'moderate' Islamic terrorists orgs incl. madrassas.Seriously bad
