This song might as well be the beatles, that's true. Because they would have been proud as fuck to play this and it would be remembered as one of their greats.
I was just thinking the exact same fucking thing!!! I do the same with my stuff were I'm not born with a great voice and I never had a bunch of money for expensive equipment... and I think r. stevie is sort of the same, where he would be proud if a great band ever wanted to record his songs. My stuff is the same way... I just hope one day that someone finds my catalogue and actually puts some time into making them great songs. (and that's no disrespect to moore!!!)
@billyharris27 Brian Wilson an the rest of them?! who's the "rest of them"? Brian wilson is great and all but I honestly don't understand the cult following.... he's the same guy who wrote a song called Salt Lake City.. which is awful... amongst many other beach boys tracks that were awful. I think what you meant to say was John Lennon/ McCartney or Ray Davies.
Nothing against Wilson, but he's not a genius... He is really good though.
Nicely put,Hats off.I am thrilled to have stumbled across this video rediscovering "The 3 men I admired most" from my youth~XTC~.coinincidence? No,No,No goodness no.What really tied the video together 4 me was the Beau footage.....Strangely enough...!Some of you out there know what I mean!LOL...and of corse, good thoughts your way R. Stevie.
this stuff is the holy grail of R stevie moore

Daniel Johnston doesn't have shit on RSM
This man should be put right next to Brian Wilson and the rest of them
I can't think of anyone who is this consistent and prolific.
Any imperfections just make the music more beautiful

Thhhhat is debatable. Except for the last part.

No need to bash Daniel Johnston. At his best his music has a simplistic innocence that makes it powerful.

he's not Daniel Johnston, he's pretentious and his music might as well be the Beatles

woah a quite serious side to R. steive which you never really quite see, This song is very personal as well as the video. Good work.

basically my favorite song at this point in time. incredible!

Agreed. I love it because there's this brutally honest beauty about it, especially for Moore to be singing it. It's like... Bukowski.
