  • dude does it need a chip or something ? ot you just plug it in install it with the cd and your ready to go ?

  • @MonkeyBadAssFist no chip just plug set up and play lol

  • your upload is faster than my download!! Welcome to the UK!

  • the up load is way to low! to be good for gaming

when playing online xbox..etc u want a low ping and a high upload

even with this router its gonna be hard to get that speed from ur ISP

    unless u pay for it.

  • FYI: The speed test sites aren't measuring your speed in megabytes...it's megabits. 8 megabits = 1 megabyte. There's no such thing as a 100 (or even 14) megabyte connection...well, not yet anyway. That's pretty far into the future.

  • Is it worth getting?

  • @MogTrader its ok but im not sure its worth getting unless its super cheap

  • holy shit thats fast

  • i have this same router and last night i took out all the cords cause my xbox last conntion so i did that now it dont work

  • @zachrome16 wow that sucks

  • @hardcoregamerlv yeh without the cables its not gonna work lol

  • What 14.95 MBps !!! Mine only 250 KBps and i have to paid it 50$ a month.. Ayways where did u lived ? Thanks

  • @ghaibboy Las Vegas lol

  • @hardcoregamerlv aaaah ic.. so how much did u paid for that speed in a month ? :)

  • @ghaibboy 60 a month

  • can you test a 1GB file between two laptops on the same wireless network????

  • @chikotube no longer have a lap top sorry

  • How good is the coverage on this router because the router would be all the way down in my basement two floors below me.

  • How good is the coverage one this router because the router would be all the way down in my basement two floors below me.

  • @MultiMightymatt i would say get the asus rt 56u router

  • It's shit, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't even give a signal. Hate it!

  • @steveandrafa118 Man i would say try the Asus RT 56U i have that router aswell and posted a video up. so fair i really do like it.

  • @hardcoregamerlv Thanks for the advise dude :) Will take that up

  • @steveandrafa118 Anytime

  • which router will you recommend me for gaming

  • @bisono64 The router i'm useing for gameing is the linksys E4200 i would recommend it

  • Hey i have a question . Does having a router in the house increase your internet speed plz reply

  • @FuZiionXD No if its a wireless router it will slow down your speed. internet speed is only determined by your service provider

  • @ybilal77 you know what not sure since i never use g

  • do you have to pay each month like other internet services?

  • @carlosdelira yes i do have to pay for each service

  • Is the router good for gaming (ps3)?

    plz rlpy

  • @persianboyshayan It's cool but i would say get one of the newer ones either e2500, e3200 or the e4200

  • @hardcoregamerlv oh Oke , i ask in some electric stores here and say that sitecom router (wl-531) are better for Gaming. is that oke?

  • @persianboyshayan i would say get one of the newer ones. i have my xbox 360 and wii and ps3 on the network and and for me its been very smooth. look at the video i made for the e4200

  • I WANT THIS FOR MY PS3.. BUT HERE IN ARGENTINA IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE, SHIT!

  • @fg086 how much is it there

  • @hardcoregamerlv 200 DOLLARS

  • @fg086 wow that a lot

  • i have a question

i have a phone moden that acts as my internet modem as well

    but its doesnt have gigabit

    only 10/100mbps

    the e2000 has gigabit right

so heres my question how can the e2000 receive 1000mbps and send it to my computer and other stuff when my modem only delivers 100mbps

would i have to buy a modem that has gigabit for it to work or can the linksys just receive the 1000mbps to my computer and other stuff plugged in to it

  • @LightSamus2 Umm i wanna say you can't

  • I have a LAPTOP that is running g wireless - can I hook this up to the n wireless?

  • @9920sr Yes its backwords Compatible with B and G

  • so if i wanna buy this router .. is there a different cable to connect the router to internet ? my current settings , phone line plug --> filter (Splitter) --> phone cable to router .. and one Ethernet between the PC n the router .. and another ethernet cable to my PS3 ...

is cat6 cable different than Ethernet ...

    Thanks !

  • @elsultan69 cat6 will be 10 times faster then ethernet. i would go with cat6

  • @hardcoregamerlv Thanks for your fast response .. i have no idea about it .. but is it the same as ethernet in terms of ability to plug it into the router n PS3 ? the same shape i mean ...

cuz i wanna order one online .. but not sure if i can connect the Cat6 between PS3 and the Linksys E2000 ...

ur help is much appreciated ...

  • @elsultan69 yes cat6 is the same size plug as eithernet so yes it will fit ps3, xbox 360, anything that needs an ethernet

  • Is the NETGEAR WNR3500L any better than this router?

  • @MasterNaruto1214 not sure i never had the 3500l

  • Is the NETGEAR WNR3500L any better than this router?

  • do you realize you would probably get a little faster speeds if you just connected the cat6 cable? Why use wireless when your router is 2 feet away?

  • @brickjenks100 rite now im getting 85mps and thats wireless i dont need anything faster then that

  • @brickjenks100 so if i wanna buy this router .. is there a different cable to connect the router to internet ? my current settings , phone line plug --> filter (Splitter) --> phone cable to router .. and one Ethernet between the PC n the router .. and another ethernet cable to my PS3 ...

is cat6 cable different than Ethernet ...

    Thanks !

  • can this support multiple devices? i have 2 or 3 computers and an xbox running on my router and my xbox live is laggy, and my computer gets slow. i just need a router that can support an xbox and computers

  • @xLaMzHD i would say get the e3000

  • @xLaMzHD all routers can do that but you need to use your routers QOS settings to make your router give the xbox priority over the computers it doesnt matter which router you get if you dont use its settings xbox live is going to be laggy

  • @ismelllikeaturd yeah thats true

  • i have cox 2 and i have the same router and live in the same city what plan do you have i have the preferred tire from them and had 120 mbps becuase of powerboost

without its only 15mbps also i take it you have a docsis 3 modem probally the sb6120?

  • @papiecho18 i have the same as you but before the 20mbs i had the 50 but didnt think i even needed that

  • @hardcoregamerlv well i see you play halo reach and do some online gamming the uplaod speed is what matters for gamming the download is important aswell but pings are most important but the 50/5 plan cox offers you would have host alot and have no lag what so ever i just wish cox had higher upload speeds

  • I just bought e3000 router and MAN it rocks connected an external HD network speeds just am,azin wireless range is good i havent really tested the distance but it works fine for a 1 floor home !!!! i have read some bad reviews on refurbished products so beware u cant return the refurbished items....

  • @manicindhouse thtas cool i like my e3000 awell

  • hey neighbor :D im also in lv. im seriously considering buying this wireless router. been researching top rated routers for a few days now and this one is in my top 3 at that price point....whats the verdict on the wifi? my pc's are wired but i wanted the wifi option for other devices in my place.

  • @MrMexicanZombie i would say the e3000 should be a pick because its simultaneous dual band the e2000 isnt . you either pick on 2.4 or 5ghz i dont like that. so the e3000 works better for me

  • @hardcoregamerlv for a client bridge the E2000 is better than the E3000 because you don't have to mess with a second radio. but for a WDS network the E3000 is better because you can use one band as a WDS backbone which will not cut the bandwidth in half.

  • @dorfd1 aw i didnt know that thanks

  • How are you able to get 105 mbps? Do you always get this speed? How much do you pay? I only get 6 mbps with DSL, and 20 mbps with Cable.

  • @asdfxyz1 it very from 60 and up and i have cox communication and i pay 60 a month

  • What ISP you have?

  • @ADKIc3mAnX36O cox communication

  • Holy shiet man over 105 Mbps?!!!!!!! I thought d/l or u/l speed depends on your internet service provider and not the router itself. You definitely probably have satelite T1 or T2 speed or something thats definitely not dsl extreme 6.0 (i have that btw >.<).

What isp do you have, I need to know lol.

  • @toeun I have cox communication its cable lol

  • I tried that but unfortunately I do not think my laptop supports the 5ghz band cause when I switched it I could not connect to the network. Thanks anyways.

  • @jlmartinez2 sorry to hear that i would say look to see what type of network card is inside your laptop

  • remember the E2000 is identical to the WRT320N with the difference being the E2000 has 60k of nvram and the WRT320N only has 32k. the E2000 has a working reset button but the WRT320N does not. if you convert the WRT320N to an E2000 you will fix the reset button and get the increased nvram.

  • I have the same router and wanted to know how you selected the 5 ghz?

  • @jlmartinez2 u have to set it up in the router setings like 192. something

  • this router is a piece of shit. an expensive modem for such cheap performance.. i have two.. this router dosent even support 5 ghz nor multiple consoles.. you either get strict or moderate for one or open for the other.. and if you had 3 xboxes youde get strict moderate open but never open for all three... i looked everywhere for articles dissucssing this issue but to no avail.... dont buy this shitty router.. buy netgear or belkin

  • @1matth3w1 lol i hear u

  • @1matth3w1 this router is not bad once you put dd-wrt on it. once flashed with dd-wrt it will do so much more. I never had issues at all with this router,

  • @dorfd1 thats very cool

  • Isn't this a 300 Mbps router?..

  • @benstarsky Linksys says there are but when you look in adavance setting max says 270

  • @hardcoregamerlv Dangggg, thanks..

  • @benstarsky ur welcome

  • This works with the xbox 360 right?

  • @foxman7727 yes and ps3, wifi cell anything

  • @foxman7727 all routers do i use it for mine and i have this router (i use a wired connection)

  • @Jrays486 aww thats cool

  • whats your internet connection speed ?

  • I hate this router :/ It won't let me connect my PS3 or my Xbox to it. The stupid guest password keeps me from using the internet.

  • @PBYOUTH umm i never go on guest network lol

  • @PBYOUTH god your dum...when you install it theres a program you can go to and disable guest accound and set your own password

  • @PBYOUTH don't use the guess network use the main, and for the not connecting, make sure you have an wireless n adapter or the older protocols enabled on the router!

  • @PBYOUTH yea, why would you use guest network if its your router, you cant just plug it in, you actually have to know how to use it

  • JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I WANT THAT ISP.

  • @xderDoktor LOL and i want faster then what i have crazy i know lol

  • screw the router, I want that ISP

  • @MastaF0035 lol it is hella fast

  • in your oppinion witch one you liked better the e2000 or the e3000

  • @santo14jcvip well if you want simultaneous 2.4 and 5 i would say go with the E3000

  • @hardcoregamerlv if you want a great wireless 5 port gigabit ethernet bridge I'd go with the E2000. linksys has yet to officialy release a wireless n bridge with a gigabit ethernet port.

  • @dorfd1 very cool i did that already

  • megabits per second, not megabytes =D

  • @DoCWaSaBe lol ok

  • i just got the router and now my download speed drop it used to be 13 Mbps but now i only get 3 Mbps why did it drop so much

  • @Ceology3000 make sure your on the 5ghz and not 2.4 there is a differnce in the 2

  • @hardcoregamerlv ok how do i change it

  • also how is this router with gaming consoles? alot of reviews say that it is not good

  • @upurnose46 I'll do a video showing some gaming with the router so fair its been great

  • @hardcoregamerlv 5.0 is the same speed as 2.4, just less interference.

  • @hemirox33 very cool

  • @upurnose46 I use it as a repeater bridge and have two desktops wired into it and I get great speed. my e2000 connects wirelessly to router in the basement which provides internet access. so you know my e2000 is a wrt320n that I converted.

  • @dorfd1 really how did u do that

  • @hardcoregamerlv I use the dd-wrt firmware

  • @dorfd1 aww thats very cool

  • @hardcoregamerlv I am thinking about trying the router's wireless distribution system mode since layer 2 bridging is better than th layer 3 bridging repeater bridge provides. my basement router is a wrt54gl which also supports dd-wrt.

  • @dorfd1 wow let me know how that goes sounds very cool

  • @hardcoregamerlv I will.

  • @hardcoregamerlv I switched to wds and it works great so far

  • @dorfd1 wow i gota try that

  • @hardcoregamerlv the difference between wds and repeater bridge is when using wds the client mac addresses are preserved in the frames. the ethernet ports on the client router still work. if your router is dual radio you can use one band such as 5 ghz as the wds back haul and use 2.4 ghz for normal clients.

  • @dorfd1 im deaf gonna try this

  • @hardcoregamerlv I also notice better speed on the Ethernet clients now..

  • @dorfd1 i never have anything plug in useing the ethernet so that feature i wont use lol

  • @hardcoregamerlv what I am saying is the wds repeater performs better than the client bridge mode.

  • @dorfd1 aww really umm i should try this

  • i dont even have a router and i dont get anywhere near 100mbs. could this be because im using usb and have the 15mbs service?? if you have the 22 mbs service how are you achieving 100 mbs???

  • @upurnose46 and your useing a usb driver that might be the reason why your not getting anything faster then 15. i'm not sure why it still shows 100 lol to be honest since i only have the 20. wait i might have the reason why i still have 100 i'll explaine to you latter on

  • how are you getting 100 Mbps? I have same router and wireless n adapter and all, I only get 25 Mbps

  • @hemirox33 Is your computer on 2.4ghz or 5ghz. mine always on 5ghz and everything else is on 2.4

  • @hardcoregamerlv 5.0Ghz its the same speed for 2.4 and 5.0.

  • @hemirox33 It's not 5 is faster

  • What ISP do you have? Mine (Comcast) only offers up to 50 Mbps download. But yours is over 100.

  • @hemirox33 I have cox communication comcast and cox are the same company lol anyway my service is the 22 mbs service i use to have the 50 mps service but that was way too much a month lol

  • I just got it today. How do you select it to go to the 5ghz network

  • @blazex4 your gonna have to configure the router from your internet browser and type 192.168.1.1

  • @hardcoregamerlv Got it, thanks. 5ghz made a huge difference

  • @blazex4 NP anytime have any other questions let me know.

  • sorry if this is a repeat post.

I followed the instructions on the dd-wrt. the instructions involve using a modified cfe and then flashing dd-wrt firmware for the linksys e2000 on it. I can flash stock linksys e2000 firmware on my wrt320n if I want.

  • @dorfd1 wow thats very cool wow

  • I followed the instructions on the dd-wrt forum

  • I converted my wrt320n to a linksys E2000

  • @dorfd1 and how did u do that

  • oh i see on the last part of your video. it was connected via wireless :)

    thanks!

  • @1addictsad78 i was connect wireless on 5g network

  • i about to purchase this one @ BB now.. your connection on MAC is hardwired? or just you connected via wireless? nice video
