FYI: The speed test sites aren't measuring your speed in megabytes...it's megabits. 8 megabits = 1 megabyte. There's no such thing as a 100 (or even 14) megabyte connection...well, not yet anyway. That's pretty far into the future.
@persianboyshayan i would say get one of the newer ones. i have my xbox 360 and wii and ps3 on the network and and for me its been very smooth. look at the video i made for the e4200
i have a phone moden that acts as my internet modem as well
but its doesnt have gigabit
only 10/100mbps
the e2000 has gigabit right
so heres my question how can the e2000 receive 1000mbps and send it to my computer and other stuff when my modem only delivers 100mbps
would i have to buy a modem that has gigabit for it to work or can the linksys just receive the 1000mbps to my computer and other stuff plugged in to it
so if i wanna buy this router .. is there a different cable to connect the router to internet ? my current settings , phone line plug --> filter (Splitter) --> phone cable to router .. and one Ethernet between the PC n the router .. and another ethernet cable to my PS3 ...
@hardcoregamerlv Thanks for your fast response .. i have no idea about it .. but is it the same as ethernet in terms of ability to plug it into the router n PS3 ? the same shape i mean ...
cuz i wanna order one online .. but not sure if i can connect the Cat6 between PS3 and the Linksys E2000 ...
@brickjenks100 so if i wanna buy this router .. is there a different cable to connect the router to internet ? my current settings , phone line plug --> filter (Splitter) --> phone cable to router .. and one Ethernet between the PC n the router .. and another ethernet cable to my PS3 ...
can this support multiple devices? i have 2 or 3 computers and an xbox running on my router and my xbox live is laggy, and my computer gets slow. i just need a router that can support an xbox and computers
@xLaMzHD all routers can do that but you need to use your routers QOS settings to make your router give the xbox priority over the computers it doesnt matter which router you get if you dont use its settings xbox live is going to be laggy
i have cox 2 and i have the same router and live in the same city what plan do you have i have the preferred tire from them and had 120 mbps becuase of powerboost
without its only 15mbps also i take it you have a docsis 3 modem probally the sb6120?
@hardcoregamerlv well i see you play halo reach and do some online gamming the uplaod speed is what matters for gamming the download is important aswell but pings are most important but the 50/5 plan cox offers you would have host alot and have no lag what so ever i just wish cox had higher upload speeds
I just bought e3000 router and MAN it rocks connected an external HD network speeds just am,azin wireless range is good i havent really tested the distance but it works fine for a 1 floor home !!!! i have read some bad reviews on refurbished products so beware u cant return the refurbished items....
hey neighbor :D im also in lv. im seriously considering buying this wireless router. been researching top rated routers for a few days now and this one is in my top 3 at that price point....whats the verdict on the wifi? my pc's are wired but i wanted the wifi option for other devices in my place.
@MrMexicanZombie i would say the e3000 should be a pick because its simultaneous dual band the e2000 isnt . you either pick on 2.4 or 5ghz i dont like that. so the e3000 works better for me
@hardcoregamerlv for a client bridge the E2000 is better than the E3000 because you don't have to mess with a second radio. but for a WDS network the E3000 is better because you can use one band as a WDS backbone which will not cut the bandwidth in half.
Holy shiet man over 105 Mbps?!!!!!!! I thought d/l or u/l speed depends on your internet service provider and not the router itself. You definitely probably have satelite T1 or T2 speed or something thats definitely not dsl extreme 6.0 (i have that btw >.<).
I tried that but unfortunately I do not think my laptop supports the 5ghz band cause when I switched it I could not connect to the network. Thanks anyways.

this router is a piece of shit. an expensive modem for such cheap performance.. i have two.. this router dosent even support 5 ghz nor multiple consoles.. you either get strict or moderate for one or open for the other.. and if you had 3 xboxes youde get strict moderate open but never open for all three... i looked everywhere for articles dissucssing this issue but to no avail.... dont buy this shitty router.. buy netgear or belkin
@1matth3w1 this router is not bad once you put dd-wrt on it. once flashed with dd-wrt it will do so much more. I never had issues at all with this router,
