  • I used to fly from Houston-Honolulu-Guam (then a puddle jumper to Saipan) to catch my ship (my profile picture) on Continental's Business First. Their 767s had either 25/35 seats (2-1-2 configuration with 5/7 rows). I always got a seat in the center so that I had an aisle on each side of me! Their 777s (Houston-Narita) BF was also good; 5 rows of 2-2-2 then the Lavatory/Galley area then 3 rows of 2-2-2 for a total of 48. Sitting in the 18 seat area was good but the 767 "solo" was the best!

  • Coffin seats, when they are down it is like being in a grave.

  • these seats look tight.. lots of wasted space with all that bench on each side.. seats should be wide and very comfortable..

  • And who pay finaly for the "elite" passengers? Of course those sardines in the "economy" class...disgusting! :-(

  • i went to business class flight from The Kingdom to Dubai only two hours and 30 min it was the best in my life

  • best airlines is emirates A380-800 others are just crap to be honest and dont tell me swiss airlines or singapore also sucks

  • went on them in the summer best flight and business class yet, outstanding!!! go delta

  • Overpriced.

  • @yourvidisbad101 It's not overpriced. You get what you pay for. Airlines offer economy class for people complaining like you. Do you know the price of a commercial plane? The cost for maintenance and fuel ? The cost for cabin crew salaries ? etc.

  • @maxou5757 Hah! Airlines are all crooks! Let's say, for example, there is an airplane of 600 people (international flight), who all buy tickets costing 1200 each ( I say 1200 because some may be more or less expensive). The airline makes $720,000 on that flight! 3/4 of a million! 200,000 of it maybe will go to salary, 50,000 or less for feul, and 50,000 for any other expenses. Even with such a broad overstatement of their expenses, they would still make $420,000 PER flight! X 10+ flights per day?

  • @yourvidisbad101 50 000$ or less for fuel ? For an international flight ? It's much more than that. For information, price to fuel up a 747-400 is about 150 000-200 000$ for an airline.

Plus, most flights will have about 300 or 400 passagers, not 600. You also have to take into consideration de icing fluid if theres the need to which cost A LOT

  • @maxou5757 no more than 50k for fuel, do you even know how much fuel that would be? Preposterous. And the extra 50,000 I was talking about would include things such as de-icing fluid, which isn't always used anyway.

  • @yourvidisbad101 A boeing 747 has around 57 000 gallons of fuel. At 3.90$ per gallon, that equals to 222 300$. It cost about 4000$ to de ice an aircraft. Add to this food and drinks for the passagers. You cant include the maintenance in the 50k so that's another expense. Just one engine cost over a million dollars... I mean, yes they do make profit, so does all companies.

  • @maxou5757 I get DL for free for life no problems there! :D

  • Notice how the guy in the green shirt at 0:23 jumps from the middle section to a window seat in the next scene (at 0:24)?

  • @titmen9 delta dose offer first class people people plz stop come planing about ho much it cost get a beter job

  • Comment removed

  • why does Delta always choose white blonds?? They are a racist freeking airline

  • @mglrodriguez75 how are they racist? I saw asians and blacks...come on now

  • Fuck what? American?

  • Mine actually came with a hot chick from ATL-EZE! I even got her number. :-D Of course I'm sure Delta cannot guarentee hot chicks will be available for all customers.

  • Blanket

  • Looks nice but the American airlines food and blunt + pillow is much more comfortable, the material in American is more comfortable as well I do like the 1-2-1 configuration in this cabin

  • @15gonzer FUCKDATSHATT

  • It's about time the updated these seats. Most of their 76ers are still equipped with the 1990s style ones. With the pull out arm tv.

  • if this is the highest class you have why do you have a middle seat?! sigh

  • In my opinion, this is a very bad product considering Delta is the largest carrier in the world in terms of fleet. First of all, Delta does not offer a first class which is already bad enough for the largest airline in the world. Then they make this new business elite which is mediocre at best. In my opinion, the new United & US Airways business product is better. AA also has a mediocre at best. Very dissapointed Delta!!!

  • @tithm9 Have you even flow on Delta's new business class? It doesn't sound like it. Unless you're extremely overweight or super tall, this is an very comfortable seat.

  • Is that leather or vinyl?

  • does delta have two types of business elit

  • @maximisawesome A lot longer than that. These are 767's with flat bed seats. These are for the really long flights.

  • @TheEMan1997 For an extra $3000

  • They're being awfully slow on introducing this product on their ATL-MAN run. I don't get it. That flight seems as well populated as the ATL-LHR run, which has this product. It's one of the reasons I'm not flying home with them at Xmas. That being said, it's a great product and what makes Delta the best of the American international carriers is SERVICE. Their Flight Attendance in Business are great. Food is delicious too!!!

  • @greatshow09 thanks for reply. My trips have been on 767s ATL or JFK to/from LHR. Seats all staggered numbers at side 1 thru 5 of the 10 rows. On ALL flights the crew have agreed that the design flaw forces foot cushion into seat well under unit in front and doesn't allow "bed" to be flat AND allow for feet! Head cushion similarly doesn't lie 180 so a marketing scam for a modified recliner. If over 5'7" fly with airlines that really do have FLAT beds! Cheers!

  • @jamesa033 Did u get a email from me earlier showing it in real life.

  • I have now flown this equipment in these seats several times and I can GUARANTEE that they are NOT flat! Delta is breaking the law by selling these as lie flat and claiming 180 degrees... the top (head cushion) doesnt lie flat when in the "bed position, and the lower portion drops down giving anyone over 5 foot 10 in height the feeling that they are sliding down a chute when the seat is in the "bed" position. A nightmare for overnight flights. Dont waste $s or £s !!!

  • @jamesa0330 Is this what you flew in search up: Delta BusinessElite transcontinental on they're channel

  • I'd like to see Shaq fit in these

  • it looks like its really comfortable!

  • It always looks nice but when you are on the plane it always has turbulance and even in 1st class u get all the people from economy walking thru and staring at u

  • Delta is putting these on the 300er's there is currently one that has it.

  • @legoryan9 Now 2

  • I think the delta first class product is good but why are all the american first class less than european airlines you know like delta, american, united, continental, Us airways cant compare to lufthansa, air france, klm, swiss

  • @hawk45653 A few reasons. After 9/11 Many of those airlines took major hits some of them had to fail for Bankruptcy. Then with the amounts rules the government keeps putting on them and the way some costmers act and so on many of them are luck that the airlines in the USA even bother to make the planes better. When a person misses a flight becasue they left late they blame the airline for that.

  • I flew to London with Delta ... on these seats ... VERY COMFORTABLE flight ... Delta has always been my first choice for flying ... Both within the States and overseas.

  • how come it doesn't have wifi in their international flights?

  • Flying to London Friday on these beds. Can you keep the noise cancelling headphones?

  • A great business seat.

  • No thanks i'll drive or take an autobus.

  • Does anyone know if Delta are using this new business elite on their flights from london to boston?

  • These seats should be on every international Delta flight ...

  • The man at 0:53 in the background with the red clothes. Isn't he from House MD? He really looks like one actor.

  • How much are these seats per person?

  • These seats may look good, but I have had the chance to fly on asian carriers due to my fathers work, and Asian airlines have a much higher standard it is incredible. These seats are good for someone who doesn't fly out of the country, but once you try airlines from other nations, nothing compares.

  • @laxking57 As far as I know, this configuration is only used on Domestic flights. The International configuration is much better. And you can't compare Asian carriers to Delta, or any other US/3-star carrier. Why? Because those Asian carriers are almost all 4-star/5-star. The service level they give you is expectantly higher, and your ticket's cost reflects that. You're not going to be getting a suite at the price you play to fly Delta BUSINESS.

  • @scaremengaviation But still the international configuration is not much better. And Delta does fly 767-400 internationally.

  • @laxking57 I think they have two different configurations for their 767's. Domestic 767 (this video) and International 767 (like the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class). But I might be mistaken... I know their 777's have it. And, up until quite recently, international 767-400ER's did not have the new Business class, only those old seats that look like puffed-up econ. seats. The -400 I flew on 1 year ago to Madrid had the old seating arrangement.

  • @laxking57 If course the international configuration is not much better. Compare the price you will pay to fly Delta compared to an airline that has a "good" or "excellent" premium hard and soft product. It's much more, and for the people who can't afford that extra cost, BusinessElite is the only solution (as well as CO/UA/US/AA).

  • Continental? You mean United, right. Continental eats moldy sausages. Houston is the most awful city on the planet.

  • @stankinaz I'm not so sure what you're talking about, but I've flown with Continental for a long time and I've never had a problem with them.

  • @andrewlong111 Continental EXIST NO MORE! Continental is now united.

  • Continental is better.

  • @andrewlong111 continental is gone. Good ridden.

  • I WANNA BE IN THAT CLASS!!!!!!

  • @bieberhater555 Work Hard. Try at the little things in life. they may not seem important now but you never know when they will pay off.

  • how NARROW are THOSE seats?

in regular business elite those seats are only 1/2 wider than economy and so very uncomfortable...I feel scrunched in....these NEW seats look just as narrow!

  • what if there's turbelence for those business elite passengers with aisle access

  • well.. still think European and Asian airlines are far more superior to American ones !

  • how substandard

  • Wow, how substandard given other options out there

  • By far the best Business Elite cabin on ANY Delta plane I've seen. Great job guys!

  • nice job delta.. i'm impressed. i've seen lots of interiors, this is a smart one!

  • I'm flying to JFK from Heathrow and I've just checked its £1700 pound round trip. It looks lovely but way overpriced

  • It's good there finally improving the Business/First cabins on Delta and actually a lot of America based airlines. Should have been done 4 or 5 years ago.

  • @CathayGuy 4 or 5 years ago they had other things to worry about like Bankruptcy and Reorganization during bankruptcy. Then Emergence from bankruptcy. So yeah they had a lot of other things to worry about. So a lot of what they wanted to do was put on hold.

  • @CathayGuy Yeah I know they did but, United American they should have been doing this.

  • I am so unlucky because i will fly from amsterdam to Detroit i an 767-300, which doesnt have the flat beds yet. ;(

  • Everything looks just awesome. THe only thign is the on-demand screen.... A little too small in my opinion but oh well. I love the 180 flat bed!!

  • this song is so relaxing!

  • I'll be in one of those seats next to the window from MIA to LHR in 5 hours! For once...I CANT WAIT FOR A LONG FLIGHT!

  • Yours for only $3000

  • @tc16169 Maybe domestically. Internationally, it's more than $5,000.

  • @tc16169 I get this at a flat rate of $0.00 :D

  • @Greatshow09 flying for free is fun isnt it?

  • @tc16169 You don't have to always pay those prices to get these seats. If you have good frequent flier status, like Platinum or Diamond Medallion, you should be upgraded to these for free. A gold medallion or airline employee might even get upgraded, depends on how full the flight is.

  • @tc16169 we paid $100 per person on business elite 764 LHR-DTW and MSP-LHR :)

  • @tc16169

    HAHAHAHA!!! good one man.

  • I'd like to try these out sometime.... Delta is awesome

  • 1,2,1 is a very impressive configuration for business class. Well done, a positve move by an american airline for once!

  • notice how they didn't say anything about the nasty food

  • I do like that these seats lie flat and not at an angle. It's also great that they are rectangular and not rounded like many of these types of seats are.

  • ok nice job delta! , wanna see emirate's first class? xD

  • ok Delta , now thats buisness class

  • My Uncle was in business class with my little cousin, but i was in economy. But my uncle had to look for something he lost, so i was minding my little cousin in business class. I only had the pleasure of lying down in the seats for a minute, but that was one heavenly minute :)

  • Two things I like: the seats and the quality of this video. Go Delta.

  • Man everyone's so happy! Relaxing commercial. lol

  • and I thought the bulkhead seats were some of the best...

  • Screw that man, Im not going to pay that amount of money to just sleep during the flight. Give me all the alcohol and entertainment i can get!

  • I noticed Delta has used up a lot of space for each seat yet their seat is narrow.....on a good note it beats A.A's business class seat....but i think falls behinds Uniteds new business seat..

  • This seating will eventually be available in all international routes.

  • Flew Sept 2010 ATL-LHR - the seats were "OK".....lie flat didn't enable me to really sleep more than in Y class. The service and food were great though. Even though frequent J class flyers might find it annoying, I really liked how the cabin crew came through towards the end of the flight and thanked us personally for flying on Delta with them.

  • hahahaha its funny everytime i fly economy im sick but this time i went to the toilet and i went to the toilet and not be sick and went to bed

  • And we are in an economic depression...

  • Why can't economy have these

  • No privacy screen for the middle seats?

  • It would be nice if they had this configuration on the ATL-MAN route. Ticks me off that they reserve it only for the London route, which is the same length of flight. Hey Delta, the northerners travel just as much as the southerners!! Still, I'm flying home with them Xmas because they still have the friendliest service of any of the U.S. Carriers.

  • Looking to fly LHR - MCO, normally use Continental/Virgin. This video is showing food served something like coach - is this correct?

  • @graystonnixon

the food is better than coach. the service is great. initial meal service is served in stages and presentation is nice. check out the special meal selection online, they have several options.

  • The seats are a great improvement over the old ones. However on one of my trips to London recently the seat was broken en would not budge. The cabin was full so I had to sit up striaght for 8 hours. Delta gave me a $500 transport voucher towards future travel but considering what you pay for these tickets I was pretty disappointed (and tired upon arrival)

  • SINGAPORE FTW

  • will there be these seats in a rome-jfk flight?

  • i like at @1:10

  • I wonder what flights have the special seats that angle towards the aisle.

  • I love flying in these seats but sometimes I wish the thing seperating two seats in the middle, like the huge arm rest could be removed or lifted to create one huge seat instead, like if your flying wit a partner. It makes me feel like I don't have enough space..

  • I went to Rome on the a330 and it was wonderful I felt great after the flight.

  • Delta's a joke of an airline. My wife and I got back from 2 weeks in Prague and Vienna and good old Delta's (flew Business Class and paid the premium) seats didn't function like they're supposed to (as shown here); movies didn't work; lights wouldn't turn on; rude flight attendants, 2 hr delays, terrible food & they simply said "sorry." 21 total RT hours and "sorry?" They also managed to lose our luggage; way to go..crack team you've got there. I will never fly Delta again if I can help it.

  • @guitarsforeveryone hey u may hate it-it's ur opinion so I don't care. But u gotta admit-Katherine Lee from Delta Airlines is hot

  • @guitarsforeveryone So your saying this has never happened to another airline, and it can only happen to Delta, thats pretty narrow minded, don't you think?

  • @thatairlinereviewer I believe my post was pretty clear. Narrow minded? Would you have preferred that I give a detail description of every flight I've flown on Delta and how there is always (not an exaggeration) something that has gone wrong? No airline is perfect, however, when paying a premium, I expect premium service on every level. If you're ok with Delta and their performance, by all means keep flying them; it'll help make sure I'll have an open seat w/a different airline.

  • @guitarsforeveryone That's why I try to avoid having checked baggage-- one large briefcase would do.

  • you know, if i am going into a seat like that one....i would sleep the night before 21 hours straight....why miss the amazing comfort for sleeping that you can't feel?

i mean i LOVE to sleep, but i am not on a extra deluxe amazing seats everyday!

    (yes you can sleep everyday!)

  • so cool!

  • Surprised that Delta doesn't have backwards facing business class seats, like British Airways has-- seems like the space could be better utilized. Still looks nice!

  • they look very narrow. most airlines with flatbeds offer arm rests that go down

  • @APFlynn IF you look closely you'll see that the arm rest kind of bulges out giving you more room..

  • Flew them Atlanta to London and loved it!

  • Very nice product. Interesting that they are able to put six (2-2-2) lie-flat business class seats across a 767, which is only one less seat than in economy, which is seven abreast (2-3-2)!

Have had some nice flights on Delta recently, ATL-LAX on a 767, ATL-JFK on a 767 with winglets, PDX-ATL on a 757, and DEN-ATL on a 757. They seem to be the airline I fly the most when I visit the USA.

    Keep it up, Delta!

  • @cedarjet707 actually, if you look carefully, it's 1-2-1 or 4 across...

  • that looks awesome

  • I kept that magazine

  • That looks sooo cool.........and expenseve

  • for 8 hours, people spend more than 5000 $ for these...

  • I'm fortunate enough to be able to fly on Delta (was Northwest) from Honolulu to Michigan every year so it's nice to be able to lie down to sleep since it takes 8 1/2 hours direct. I'm fully rested when I get there.

  • It looks very nice!!! Unfortunately, I don't have the money to fly like that.... Economy ALL THE WAY!! Do you guys have touch screen AVOD on the B767-400ER's in economy?

  • All 767-400ERs have touch screens in economy. I'm really looking forward to Delta adding them to the 767-300ERs in economy soon as that's what they do most of their international flying with.

  • @TheLiLD95 Yes there are touch screen in econ now with AVOD

  • My wife and I had the pleasure of flying in these seats MSP-LHR (both ways). For flying 8 hours, I have NEVER been so rested! Awesome!

  • @Poopdeck90210 seats look a little narrow. I'm a big guy I guess I'll have to sleep on my side.

  • @Poopdeck90210 same here they were amazing

  • @Poopdeck90210 same here they were amazing

  • amazin..sleep well guyz lol

  • Those are nice first class seats they are very simmillar to the 777-200lLr seats

  • amazing

  • these seats are not bad but us airways offers a better version called Envoy Sleeper and it is only $300. extra check out us airways Envoy Sleeper. it is the best flight I have ever taken ! even better than first class !! ! ! ! !

  • @lexusfann

They would be better if they exist!!! Currently US Airways don't have any aircraft flying with the Envoy seat, certainly not on the premium trans atlantic routes. Bit of false promotion on their part, selling something you can't have yet.

  • are these actually on any delta aircraft?

  • Yes these are already in service on certain Delta airlines routes. My comment below was regarding US Airways Envoy seats.

  • oh sorry my bad!

  • @pilotanthony , my mom works for delta, nd she says its only for long international flights

  • Yes they are used to flights to and from heathrow airport! on the 767-400 they are installing more!

  • im flying this to london in april. im so excited!

  • looks like continentals new business first

  • Why didn't they mention Delta's unique and wonderful Breezeway Boarding?

  • Looks really good for Delta/Northwestern.

  • its good, but ive been on better.

    to prove it

    check out my videos.

  • @XxMetalGorxX well there are very few airlines that can beat Emirates interior quality.

  • good video

  • i rode on a 777 to syndney from LA and it had the same seats as this one it was nice

  • no it didnt. deltas business elite for their 777 is a little differnt

  • Wow, that's a super nice business class!

  • I used to like Delta until they took over NWA.

  • @ned987 Is that really a reason to hate Delta?

  • No not really

  • Comment removed

  • NICE!! but um, what if you freaking CRASH???? Show something about how it will save my ass then, we can talk about price.

  • planes are way safer than cars

  • huge huge improvement over their current business elite seats; however, the best seats are on the 777 that are like Virgin's seats

  • I disagree...I have flown Virgin's new seats about four times and they are hard and I don't like how the seats are at an angle...however, I do like the privacy...

The best seats are singapore airlines business class

  • omg those look miserable. and did you see the tray of crap they put down in front of that actor? you get less and pay more it seems.

  • These new Elite Delta seats are, by far, the narrowest I have seen among the new recently renovated business classes.

It's a shame that Delta does not invest a little wiser on equipment, since their customer service is definitively among the best ones (at least from my personal experience, and I have flown a lot with them).

  • lose some weight fatty

  • You have just lost one of the biggest opportunities of your life to shut up.

I'm 5'10" and my weight is 140 lbs.

    Not particulary fatty.

  • You mean you want them to spend more on comfert then making sure the plane is safe? If you want better stuff then pay more money. Other wise you don't really understand how much maintenance costs. It's nice that they want to do this. But I don't want them putting all there money in just comfert and slacking on the maintenance costs. I don't like flying as it is. The last thing I want to know is they they short changed us on safty.

  • Anyone else notice the black guy switched seats? At 00:27 he's on the right side of the aircraft, by himself, at the window on his laptop, and at 00:51 he's on the left side of the aircraft, on the isle by another passenger. Just thought I mention that. Great videos Delta, I want to see videos on the International, Transcontinental, and regular Service in economy, not just the wonderful service in Businesselite, I want to see what enhancements have been made in the rear of the plane.
