Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness and an eating disorder is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who think there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very funny in parts. All in all, a good read and highly recommended.

guys have higher metabolisms than women do, and they naturally have more muscle than women. anorexia and bulimia aren't about weight loss. it's about control.

actually there are many different types of "anorexia", there's having cancer or radiation or whatever and, it has nothing to do with anything mentally, just lack of hunger. there are people who do it to lose weight, people who do it for control, and then there is Anorexia mirabilis inwhich women starve themselves to death for "god",

AND I DONT NEED TO THROW IT UP. thanks. ive gone to the doctor about it. and i have a very fast matabalism. and why the hell do i NEED to throw up. you dont need to throw up to stay skinny. or small. or thin. being skinny isnt everything. sometimes i wish i could GAIN weight. but thats just me.

I can't tell you how much I feel for her. I am only 23, and because of all the damage my struggles with an eating disorder (anorexia to bulimia to ED-NOS back to bulimia) I have to have major oral surgery starting 9/11/07 to fix it. Unfortunately, they can't save my teeth like they did hers & in a couple months I will be 23 with full dentures...
