mellowlou, you really are an idiot. Nothing at the present Cavern Club claims that it is the original. No one claims the Beatles ever played the present Cavern Club. There is a sign by the door which has been there for years detailing how the original club was demolished and that the new cavern was built using bricks fromm the old. Try engaging your brain before posting such rubbish.
It is NOT the same building at all. The Cavern went 18 steps down from the street whereas the fake one today goes down 33 steps. The Beatles DID NOT EVER play in the fake club that is here today. The stage was straight ahead NOT to the left. The door location unveiled here at the start of this video may be right but is designed to falsely convince visitors of it being the "same place" Rubbish! This prick like so many on this subject is a cheapo tourism scamming BULSHITTER !!
WRONG! About 75% of the original club still exists,and was incorporated into the rebuilt cavern club. The rest is filled with concrete. The reason there are now 33 steps is simply that the entrance is further up mathew street. If you'd ever been there, you would know that the street is built on a hill. Not 100% original, yes but its all we have left.
