  • the guy was so rude always interupting the female

  • Thats why you all need to arm yourselves...I bet if these folks had what I have they would still have both kidneys...I feel much sorrow for these folks...Just hurts my heart...

  • damm how much for a kidney, i need 2

  • I blew whistle on this illegal market. Google "blackmarketorganharvest" on Myspace.

  • SRI LANKA is now committing organ trafficking

  • oh yes, i hav also heard about this, the sinhalese gov is organ trafficking from the innocent tamil civilians they kill

  • Why hasn't the UN done anything about it? Because the victims are from the third world and the buyers are wealthy. It's just like targeting prostitutes instead of targeting Johns.

The worst part is the unspoken question of who is buying organs. One of the biggest "markets" is Israel, because organ donation is forbidden after death, their bodies must be "buried whole". So why aren't jews barred from _receiving_ organs? Or do they hang onto old organs and toss them in their coffins later?

  • I would like to see those so called 'ethics' guys to be in the position of having a kidney failure themselves. Just how would they be desperate to find a DONOR and live another day or year!

I agree that donor and recipient of such transplants be of the same citizenship to curb profiteering.

You could clearly see who is the hypocrite on this interview.

  • I would have to agree with Dr Hakim. - REGULATION IS THE KEY -

I am a kidney transplant myself for TEN YEARS now and I know it feels. I am just as thankful that there are doctors like him who have

the GUTS to help desperate people.Come to think of it, those donors that sold their kidneys are desperate people too!

desperate for money that is.though maybe some of them came Cheap, and when they found out they could asked for more, they came back crying Foul- they made a bad deal.

  • you are thankful because there are doctors like him who have the GUTS to steal organs from poor unsuspecting people?

  • You dont see my point. Stealing organs is another matter and should be persecuted. I talking about the deal made by the donor and recepient or thier representatives. When there is an agreement, then there is no stealing. Thats where the doctor comes in to perform the operation. and thats where the ethics guys come in too - to complicate matters...

  • The thing is sometimes they buy an organ from a poor person for a price of like $5 and then sell it too an american, european etc for $100 000. So the person in the middle makes all the money, the person gets there kidney and the poor person gets screwed

  • Ok the only thing I have to say is its hilarious how he keeps cutting off the woman... and then cuts back to the British guy.

  • for starters- the news clip is an american news source, it's english al-jazeera which is designed to be a gateway portal from the middle east to the english speaking world. don't be so narrow-minded to be caught up by the accents, focus on the news.

  • the presenter is mess they should get somebody who can speak english,or may be they gave him the position because he is an arab, he should go back to school, this is not a joke he is a joke.

  • This is pretty disturbing. Its great that the indian doctor was taken out of practice.

  • I see that Kumar faces up to ten years in prison if proven guilty. This penalty is a mere slap on the wrist and will definitely not pacify any of his victims. Instead, why doesn't the Indian government do to Kumar what he did to his victims: get a quack doctor to remove one of his kidneys -- making sure the surgery is botched -- so that he will know what his victims have to deal with every day for the rest of his life.

  • What if the UN sanctions legal organ trade regulations??? Laws of the UN should represent humanity in a more kind way. Is it the rich who buy from the poor? Or the poor who buy from the rich? If the item in question is a kiney, I can't imagin why a millionair would be willing to sell his.

  • to bad here in America we don't get to see news like this on our TVs because our government controls everything we watch so we cant try to think outside the box. Thank God for the internet. :-D

  • Guilty or untill proven? I say guilty!
