Dude...you are killing a great motor! What RPM's were you running when there was that massive rooster tail? You know that motor should be under 6000 RPM's, anything over that....you are over-reving the engine. Engine will take note of it and will show up on the computer when serviced. That motor does have a lower water intake, but the way you are driving the lower intake still won't work.

yeah the motor will be fine after it goes over a major overhaul. And yeah i'm not worried...not my motor! You do know that the lower intake is not doing is full job....it's sucking up air and water! Plus the Vmax Series 2 has a lower water intake....to be able to suck up water easier at a higher speeds.

Actually, he does have a clue and you don't have a clue. If you would actually watch the video, he has it down for take off and then starts trimming it up. If you really had 30 years of "professional experience" you would know that.

No,because it has a four blade 26p prop (a standard one being 19-21p three blade)it produces so much thrust,it can tend to suck a vortex of air from the surface on initial standing start,depending on engine height.
