I am from Canada, and Beckham did something really nice a few years back. There was a girl from my area who was stricken with cancer at 17. She was a huge Beckham fan, and the local paper wrote a story about her. Somehow Beckham, or someone he knows saw it, and he read the article. He called her at home while she was going through treatment, and spoke to her throughout her radiation process. It was the happiest day of her life. He also sent her a signed jersey. Pure class.
