  • That was an absolutely incredible run from off the pace. That dog must have a nose for the finish line. Good call by the announcer too.

  • ITS A DOG? OR A CHEETA? LOL

  • Have never seen a better race .. Great call too

  • she should race in the english Wimbledon Derby, i've never seen a greyhound win from so far back, thats an insane burst of speed

  • I can run faster :) piece of cake

  • @Aberov no human can run as fast as a greyhound, if you was in a race with a greyhound and you can be Usain Bolt and you'd still not beat it, a greyhound will run a 100m in about 6 seconds and that would beat not only you but Usain Bolt too convincingly

  • You could picture a heap of people scrunching up their tickets after the first lap and then trying to smooth them out after the win, great job

  • Why do they let big, full-grown greyhounds race against little Italin greyhounds?

  • is she dead? my condolences.

  • @MrLeonardino

Hi . Not dead . She is just coming off her yearly period . Back in training now. Not many distance races for her on offer for another 4 months

  • I love the anouncer, and that was pretty awesome to watch.

  • SENSATIONAL!!!

  • the one thing i want to do before i die is to meet this amazing dog :) ive always wanted to eversince i saw her race in christchurch.

  • holy fuckballs.

  • are you kidding me

  • Amazing! I thought that dog was lame, but the power over the last couple of hundred metres! Phew

  • Truly amazing dog, remember seeing this race on trackside and being in awe. It's absolutely incredible the way she races. This is more than just a dog winning from the back, she was easily 12 lengths off the last dog, and so comfortable just sitting there until the absolute last moment and then bang. Will be interesting to see if any possible pups share the same race style. Congrats on all her wins, she's a legend.

  • I don't get this.. How does Swift Fantasy know when to start running harder? I mean if I had that kind of speed as a dog, I WOULD GET that thing flying! I get horses(with jockeys) picking up their run like that but not dogs. That's one smart dog.

  • Hi,

Great comment. All connections to her are in the same awe... including the trainers!! She just does what she does. An absolute freak of nature. We all would be so so lucky to ever see another like her. But to us there will only ever be one Swift Fantasy and we all love her to bits

  • my dog, star fatasy, is your dogs half sister. her sire is premier fantasy!!

now happily retired and called annie!! :)

  • what time did she run

  • @brandonjan25

Hi. 44.33 for the 755mt . cant remember the run home sectional time... but was up thea with open class sprinters times for the track

  • @dionwalker1 hey do you know if they will ever try her in australia or are there not enough long distance racers for her over hear

  • @codekiora066 Hi , she was barred from racing in australia as it was deemed she was failing to chase the lure so the owner sent her to NZ. Her racing style blew the public away . she has a big fan club hea

  • @dionwalker1 wow really? Thanks i was wondering why she wasn't coming over here. I thought it was a money thing.

  • @codekiora066 Its just the way the powers at be felt about her racing style. Thank god the NZ association think a bit differently or else we would have missed out on seeing this freak of a dog!!! I have seen other dogs with similar late burst of speed but no where near her extreme talent.......... doubt we will ever again

  • @dionwalker1 yes i think it's a great thing nz felt different as well she has me in awe. She is one of those freaks. I don't understand it but i hope i see more videos of her cheers mate.

  • like electra only better

  • Runaround Sue world record holder at 7/16 mile closed the

    same way!

  • there was a dog in england just the same in the mid 80s SCURLOGUE CHAMP very exciting to watch and great crowd pullers,

  • @judicial55 yes that style of racing is awesome...... the general public love it. hopefully this video will get seen from alot more people in the UK

  • @judicial55 Ah yes Scurlogue. I love that dog to bits. I got the video of his career from Vincent videos - ha ha I paid £20 for it in 1996, Worth every penny. I even dimly recall Scurlogue and Ballyregan Bob making an apperance on a Saint n Greavsie episode in about 1986, when I was 13.

  • Yeah Even If Thery Didnt Race They Would Be Awesome Pets :D

  • Cool, Thats Pretty Good Time

I LOVE GREYHOUNDS I Have My Own <3

  • Yes was good time, but her run home was the thing... was huge ( as you can see!) cant remember her home sectional but I recall it being up thea or better than C5 Sprinters.

Are your dogs racing at the moment

  • @dionwalker1 Yes They Are Only One

Another Is Getting Broken In At The Moments :D

I Have Nine How Many Do You Have ?

  • What Was The Time, Distance And Track ?

  • Hi, This race was on August 20th 2010 at Wanganui New Zealand. 755 mts . 44.33

  • That has to be the run of the century, what an awesome bitch you have !

  • "Amazing greyound race" should be the title Dion.

I was just saying "Oooohh myyyyyyyy godddddddddddd!" as swift fantasy mowed down the field. An unbelievable sight .

Made the rest look like they were jogging.

  • @boyaaah1 How did the dog have enough energy at that pace and distance? Wow!

  • @boyaaah1

Cheers for that. Yes she is something really special thats for sure... all connections just love her to bits..... even thogh she gave us all heart attacks the first time she raced.

  • @boyaaah1

No one can work out how she does what she does... the Trainer and Breeder included.... her bloodline had similar traits, but no where near as explosive

  • awesome thanks for the upload!!! been waiting for this to make it on here, fantastic

  • Unbeliev

    able

  • Lol! The race commentator reminds me of Keith Quinn with that "Lomu ohh ohh" try. SWIFT FANTASY GO BABY!!!!!

  • If this video was named properly it could have hundreds of thousands of hits

  • @MattTheOak

    Open to suggestions

  • @dionwalker1 Put something more attention grabbing like "Most Incredible Sporting comeback ever!!" or some other cheesy line.

  • @MattTheOak

    Cheers Matt

  • Brilliant. one dog to be well proud of.

  • Wow, what a finish ! This will get some hits when it is featured on the Guardian !

  • fantastic!!! greatest sprint finisher ever
