when the mongolian baby poured water on his face and he was all smiley but then he scrunched up his face!!!! sofrigginCUTE! XD i want to see the movie so badly! does anyone know the name of the song??
This movie was the bomb! This trailer doesn't give the movie any sort of justice. If you want to see the whole movie for free an in high quality Just google yslides and the site should come up first result. Yslides is where I watched it and didn't have any problems. I would just put the website URL but I don't want youtube to mark my account as spam. LOL
Loved this movie. It's really interesting to see how babies are raised around the world in different cultures. Never a dull moment. Plus they're just so darn cute!!
im just gonna say this.. some of these comments.. Seriously some of u need help. Its just a documentary about the lives of babies around the world...THATS JUST IT!!!!
I would have to say the only thing i don't seem like about this movie from I can tell is that it only seems to be on when there babies I think it would be more interesting for them to watch the child all the way up to teenage years. But then again two things one it's the trailer so who knows what happens and two if they have only been filming this for like a year or two then that makes two so i guest they would be bound to have another when there older
I'm really not a baby person, but this preview makes me want to adopt like five babies. Granted, I wouldn't because I couldn't handle it. But it's tempting, it's tempting.
Babies are cute, but I don't really get the point of watching an hr+ long documentary about them? Perhaps if I got some more information as to what was actually going to be in the film. Maybe just seeing how babies behave in different cultures, I guess.
@LovexMixForever it's about the differences between being raised in a modern city or in the country, not just "the country" rather, but in circumstances where there's no electricity, no indoor plumbing, virtually no modern luxuries. To see how we can be raised differently, but still have things in common.
Is it me or will this movie enforce stereotypes somewhere. Africa: Babies in Tribe, Asia: Babies in Huts, San Francisco: Adopted Babies with Gay Fathers
@KelvTwelve umm it's not a stereotype if it's where they actually live? and gay fathers? obviously you have no idea what you're talking about so I don't know why I even bothered to reply.
@ytshita Dude, you missed the point entirely, its not about one specific race, its about the equality we have at birth. Besides, I'm pretty sure the white baby in SF is outside of your specification here.
The underlying theme of this movie, to me is to show how useless racism and the creation of class structure is.
When we are babies and kids, we do not care what color someone is or where they live. But somewhere along the line we learn that one person is better than the other primarily based on what they look like.
Therefore, it is not natural if we have to learn it. It is something we created in order to make ourselves feel better. If you think about it- it a waste of time
@impatientwithdesire No. When humans grow up we understand things better. What´s different for example. How the people on earth have developed differently. Sadly, the africans didn´t evovle so far..
Enjoying another culture is not the same thing as saying it is worse than another. Many of us give power to the wrong thigs about people instead of the good things.
If nature can enjoy its variety, why cant we as humans?
@ganzobenstehn Well, thats why I asked you to specify your point. There are a few people who have commented me on here with similar things, therefore I assume thats what you are talking about too.
Unless you tell me exactly what you mean, I wont try to decipher it.
Genetically,of course we are different...but still I dont see how that refutes my last comment. Never said you were stating anything, all Im saying is that too many times we over think things instead of basking in it.
@ganzobenstehn okay, you speak of society and what it expects from us! But what impatientwithdesire was talking about was that we're all humans and we are all the same! This movie proved it to be the case! If you failed to see that, then you're in a box and you're doing a great job at serving what society expects of you!
@ganzobenstehn So an African who doesn't grow up in a thriving society is less evolved, according too you.Let me teach you something
Africa is a very large continent. Its climates range from tropical, to desert. When you refer to Africans, you're referring too the entire continent, not the war & poverty stricken countries. Also, since they were imperialized in the 1900s, and forced to grow non-food crops, most countries can't grow food.
What you call not evolved is the result of selfish nations
what a racist movie...why not pick an african baby out of the millions living in nice and wealthy homes in africa...they had to choose the poorest african baby just to portray blacks in a bad light, while showing the white babies in nice living conditions...this racist propaganda has got to stop 23 hours ago
@AdminKinto No, if you look closely a few seconds before he bites the other baby you see there is a string or braid behind the baby so that is what the other baby bit.
I love all the different races! I think this movie will be very interesting because it clearly shows babies interaction in different ways because of their environments. And all the racist comments don't make you funny or better than anyone else as god chose our race so if you don't like black people or asian people or even white people your just doubting the powers of the holy spirit!
@TheOneUntakenName Bahahah I laughed so hard, I could imagine someone sitting down in the theatre to watch this... "OMG IT'S JUST BABIES!" And running out in a frenzy.
Also sad that this can make it into theaters while tons of great independent films made by people without connections will never make it onto the silver screen.
@CloverPhoenix ..I get it, it's like March of the Penguins combined with something like John and Kate plus Eight: the movie. I can see how it would appeal to folks of your highly refined intellect.
I'm afraid this movie will probably make millions, with gobs of people flocking to theaters and dropping eigth to ten bucks just to watch something completely commonplace. Sad how low the worlds' entertainment standards have sunk.
@KiteFlyingRobot People really should adopt more...there should be more options and help for that...although I am pleased they made this movie-I am going to see it for the cultural experience
@smilingface101 Only one baby was white. The rest were African and Asian. But I hear you regardless, the black and asian babies didn't have it as good as the white one. (excluding the Japanese baby)
I think that this movie is way ahead of it's time. It's about more than babies being 'alike' around the world; it's about us all being the same..at least in the beginning. I am especially happy to see the African children profiled. We are innately all the same.
My son is 7 months old. We have a date now. I tear up just watching this damn preview! I will be holding him and bawling my eyes out, I'm sure. So cute!
Initially, when I saw the posters for this movie in the theaters, I thought it was just going to be some cheesy movie focusing on the cuteness of babies. I don't ever want to have children, but I do like comparing cultures.

All most fell out laughing when the one baby went to bite the other. Guess she wanted to use her weapon of choice. Just glad neither resorted to using the rocks in their hand.
@SILVERTINKER4578 I was too! Plus, did you see towards the end how the child in the wash basin calmly turned around to see what was behind him? If it were an adult - like me, for example - she'd probably be startled and maybe scream first before investigating.
Why would 8 people rate this a thumbs down? Who cares if it's "pointless"! I just don't understand the people on here who are saying they hate babies, I mean you do know you were one at some point of your life!
@thenightman541 it may not be an action movie or some intense drama-its a documentary, and it is not pointless. Anything that can objectively educate the public about things beyond the little bubbles we live in is very important to enhancing our societies intelligence and wisdom. Watching films like these can bring people of different backgrounds closer together.
"Babies. In this case, the offspring of a mother or in a extremely rare case, a father. The Baby is formed by an sp...(Uhh... I'm just going to leave this part out)... or a Y chromosome. Then the baby is formed. Watch how this baby drools on her Elmo toy... See how exciting babies are?"

Why would 8 people rate this a thumbs down? Who cares if it's "pointless"! I just don't understand the people on here who are saying they hate babies, I mean you do know you were one at some point of your life!

@1twilightrocks1 because of the black babies in the beginning probably, it looks like the girl bit the others skin off

All I Have To Say Is Pointless
thenightman541 1 year ago
