Living with climate change in the Pacific

usually our summer is in august, lune, juli but this year it was very hot in arpril and may...thats wrong! it's not dangerous here in germany yet but in other countrys it IS

#we have to stop the climate change the adults maybe will die in 20years but we (I'm 14) have to live on this planet for about 70 years

we are about to destroy our future!

In the UK we've had a Summer of non-stop rain. The weather has clearly changed all over the planet & there's no 'debating' the facts!

We must now ACT to ensure that we maintain the diversity of life on this planet & the first step is to STOP making the mess just for ego-based, selfish reasons!

IMO the problem is not our 'numbers' its HOW we do things!

We could easily have a globally 'sustainable' eco-friendly technological civilisation.

We COULD do it right!

First we must STOP doing it wrong!

you are so right the use of technology will grant us the eco-friendly energy we need. from geo thermal to hydro to eolic wind energy the only thing stopping us is the greed of petrol companies, oil companies etc. not wanting to lose a bunch of money that realy has no value compared to this issue.

Its time for people to take back their power from those energy companies.

If you invest in a solar array you get your money BACK in 4-7 years (depending on sunshine where you live).. That's a 14%-25% return on your 'investment'! Show me a Bank that will give you that sort of return on your money!

You get the money back by SAVING money going off to those greedy energy cartels in monthly or quarterly BILLS!! So you're free from those stressy Bills TOO!

After 4-7 years its FREE ENERGY from then on!

exactly if they make these more available to people around the world that would greatly reduce ozone weakening and thus stopping much of the climate fenomenons caused by people such as the extinction of the polar bears becuase they have no ice to walk and hunt on or the over grown hurricanes that feed on warm waters. i mean its simmple and kinda stupid simple, a country has to pay lots of cash to get enogh eolic wind mills to power a decent amount of cities. this is madness, since 97%

of americas money has no real value on gold or anything. its like mental value. i think, not even gold has sch value because humans made that up. its not like nature put a price tag on it and said IT IS NATURAL LAW THAT THIS IS VALUABLE , no its not like that. so its just paper and the will of the extremely rich and powerfull if this planet survives. and wenever there is one moreperson thats poor in the world one less can stand against them. people must wake up.

Gold was used as money because its the most stable metal we know. It doesn't rust away over time. You can bury it or sink it at sea & thousands of years later its still just as you left it. This makes it very useful as 'money' for obvious reasons.

It does have uses as well in technology & jewellery but not as much as Silver, which is much more usefulness as an industrial 'commodity' & so has 'value'.

But we need to find new principles for life.

Selfishness & greed are NOT the way forward.

governments make money from the energy cartels by taxing them.. which the companies pass on (altho the gov't do tax us on other things AS WELL of course!)

So the Governments have a lot (billions) tied up in keeping us paying for energy because our taxes pay the INTEREST on their loans for 'public works' like schools hospitals & social care (unemployment & retirement) etc.

Even a solar water heater (which is very low-tech) would save between a 1/4 & a 1/3rd of electric or gas used to heat water.
