Instead of using this '3D Rendering Technology,' why not just get actual pictures and piece them together. Make it like Google Earth but instead, Google Forest. Use your existing equipment and just make it virtual; as if your actually in a real forest. Just an idea of course =]
Great to see someone combine the human and computer interface to further knowledge of forest manangement.

You get more resolution and ability to interpret data by using the data instead of pictures. The pictures are a good idea, though.
