Pain is God. Jiriaiya is pervey Sage. His death had more meaning that any future episodes he could possibly have been in. It was 1 vs 1 and 6 corpses. He died alot better than kakuzu and the other akatsuki members that got ganged up upon by konoha. It would be stupid if the leader of akatsuki whom possessed such a legendary ocular ability died to somsone that was hokage level. Besides You know whoever was born with the best ability is the winner in Naruto universe. and jiriaya was born normal.

Jirayai was the most kick/bad ass ninja ever and damn strong 2. It's a shame that he died but what would have been worst is if he actually survived when it looked like he died. Then no one would take epic naruto death scenes seriously.
