Nice battle rifle. I suggest redneck mounting a small picatinny rail on the side of the stock and attaching a 120+ lumen led light to it with pressure switch or use your thumb. Your chest would be good for handguns but not against rifles with a L3a vest. I prefer the m4 carbine or just a handgun for indoor use, much more maneuverable. Of course if they haven't lost their minds, you'll probably temporarily blind them with the muzzle flash from that boomstick. :)

You should get some protection for your arms/legs or atleast your crotch. Even if it is just lightplates as thick as a credit card it will stop alot of damage. I would recomend building it yourself if you have the time and it is very cheep.
@dsarti1 i wouldn't always go on dogs as a defense i have 2 dogs a pug and a french bulldog both bark if someone is in the house if they don't know them but they also bark at EVERY noise and the pug believe it or not will bite you. he beats up on the frenchy all the time. all i'm saying its dogs aren't always the best not that i don't love my dogs just like you do

i have a double barrel shot gun with 12 gauge rounds i developed and marketed. they are called closed casket. they are effective against all body armor except multilayer 2 inch ceramic. you stand a equal chance with a claymore mine. that was the standard i was matching. right now the ammo is only sold to international shipping lines with an agreement to be used off shore
@dsarti1 The other good thing about a big dog ,is if someone is casing your house before breaking in , and they see your dog, that is a deterant alone. I myself have 2 of these black shepherds and many firearms placed throughout my house. The accute sense of hearing that my shepherds have is ireplaceable. Intruders will hear the loud grumble coming from the house and know their element of suprise is no longer and that they must deal with large dogs. They're a good investment,especially with kids
@dsarti1 I doubt it would be that easy to see a shepherd at night. Mine is almost all black/sable and all you can hear is breathing or him approaching you really fast. It's a really good first defense inside the house or at least a tactic that will delay an intruder until you're set with your stuff. It's good to have dog that can alert and follow up wih a bite. At night all an intruder could do is shoot in the direction of the sounds of the dog.

@antonio52887 Th difficult part of what has been happening in England is that many of the rioters are children.
This is one of the reasons the police were not confronting the rioters physically.
There was even an isntance of a mother with her kid looting a shop.
The really sad part is that 4 people have lost their lives - I am still against guns...
And yes if my home was burnt down I would probably be saying something different - but a civilised society acts from intelligence not emotion...

M14 --- you might kill a neighbor living 1/4 mile away. Shot guns are nice at close range shoot for the face these days. They might have as much armor as you.
But Nice I wich I had a M14. With that you can kill the enemy at 1/2 mile.

wow and i thought my 30/30 was dangerious. you can find full body armor in millitarry surplus stores. the helmet shoulder pands leg pads. you mught as well build a trap door in your room so you can get ready then surprise attak .

you should become a vegetarian, it would be good for your health, i lost 40 lbs in about 4 months on that diet plus i felt great, plus it would help you in doing your personal defense. its time to get healthy, its gonna be really hard if sense your used to regual food but rest assured you will get used to it and you will have an urge to eat it after about a month cuz your body will be craving the healthy stuff. good luck

i have a double barrel shot gun with 12 gauge rounds i developed and marketed. they are called closed casket. they are effective against all body armor except multilayer 2 inch ceramic. you stand a equal chance with a claymore mine. that was the standard i was matching. right now the ammo is only sold to international shipping lines with an agreement to be used off shore

@dsarti1 The other good thing about a big dog ,is if someone is casing your house before breaking in , and they see your dog, that is a deterant alone. I myself have 2 of these black shepherds and many firearms placed throughout my house. The accute sense of hearing that my shepherds have is ireplaceable. Intruders will hear the loud grumble coming from the house and know their element of suprise is no longer and that they must deal with large dogs. They're a good investment,especially with kids

@dsarti1 I doubt it would be that easy to see a shepherd at night. Mine is almost all black/sable and all you can hear is breathing or him approaching you really fast. It's a really good first defense inside the house or at least a tactic that will delay an intruder until you're set with your stuff. It's good to have dog that can alert and follow up wih a bite. At night all an intruder could do is shoot in the direction of the sounds of the dog.

Even then, if someone is rushing your retreat or home, the offender will still have 251 rounds everytime. Well done, @dsarti. @TheSoverigncitizen Sir, I am about as far away from having Obama stickers on my car as you are far away from a peace activist protest. I'm all about protecting my home and family, but it's curious that you chose an m-14 with a eotech sight. That will do you no good inside your house in the middle of the night and might well give your intruders a straight line back to your location. I would say go with the pistol and keep the long rifle for other situations. Also, shoot through floor = bad.

while the m1a1 is a good rifle, its a poor rifle for inside a house (really long, heavy, and not too mention i doubt this guy has every fired a .308 in a enclosed space, he would be blind from the muzzle flash at night and deaf as shit) get a 16" barrel ar in 5.56 with a weapon light and know how to use it) and you are right, shooting through the floor is very bad, as you dont know who the hell might be underneath, could be your kid or family member down there drunk

@elmajiko420 My dog is great with Children, he is very friendly and energetic with them. He is just incredibly protective of my house as i taught him to pretty much question anyone or anything coming in. But yeah thats why i said Most burglars wont enter a house with a dog.
