@madissle AGREED!!!!! and to think that Nolan went for him in Memento when everyone else were unavailable. now he's head and shoulders above than most DPs. it just shows, those DPs whose working on Low Budget films, can shoot the largest of films. they're just not given an opportunity.

IMAX is a much superior format to shoot, especially scenes like the opening shots of DARK KNIGHT, because the size of the negative is twice the size of standard 35mm film, which is what all Hollywood movies are shot in. the resolution, colors, and dimension of the frame of IMAX allows for an image that really surpasses all the senses! Excellent use of the IMAX format for this movie. The opening shot is extremely noteworthy of all this I have mentioned.

@tushar310 "Taller than wide:" Most films run vertically through the camera, with perforations on either side of the film frame. IMAX runs through sideways with perforations on the top and bottom of the frame. That means the width of the frame runs along the length of the filmstrip.

imax is fkn huge but the only drawback when i went is that the sound wasnt as good as i expected.
