The mast is designed to be flexible. There are some supports in the mast that are inspected every 50 hours that can crack. This usually happens on a machine with around 500 hours on it. It costs around 10 bucks for them, and I will change them out well before 500 hrs.

I amazed at how the mast is twisting at rotor start up. Doesn't that fatigue the mast at all?
