i can get the whole set-up of the homemade gun although 1 part that i can never get right is the " button" as u say it goes up and down ,up and down ,but it also goes from side to side when i do them with buttons ,as the buttons going round it goes from side to side and ive tried a elastic band on it and it just stops the motor so where am i going wrong ???

I made a machine back in 1985, and it worked just fine. The base was a toothbrush, melted to get the 90-degree angle, and the needle was a staple from a magazine. the inktube from a Bic pen connected the needle to the pin in the spindle on the motor. The spindle was a piece of thick plastic cut into a circle. And sandpaper isn't gonna give a good enough point. I sharpened the needle on a concrete floor. But I only used it on myself. I didn't sanitize anything at all. Not saying you shouldn't.

Bic pens work good you just can't use a lot of the speed stick about two swipes is good. Also, if your right handed start on the right. If your left start on left. Common sense people, just use your head, ohh and use petroleom so the gun slides accross the skin. Just put a dab on your left hand. And smear with your right finger just a bit. Try and go upwards with your lines the gun runs smother for some reason. And just be sanitary. The tattoo is only a 3rd of the process.
