HI tehre. It sound realy good. I have a question. I have a 96 Eclipse gst spyder, I have a megan racing down pipe and now I just bought an Apexi N1 catback so my question is What I wil need to make everything fit (Do I need a new catalytic converter o something else??)

apexi n1's are the most common exhaust system used on dsms, i have the hks t1 carbon with a megan racing down pipe 3 in all the way from the turbo back i personally like the hks better but this is also a good exhaust

how does it sound from the inside. when i had my other car it sounded like the exhaust was right in back of my seat... but my buddies... his sound like there was a wall blocking the exhaust from killing my ears in the car... which was better.

Sounds alright but run a CAI, header, and full catback for a deeper rumble and less of a raspy sound. It also gives a good bit of throttle response also if your car is N/A that is.

hey im in welDing class, my eclipse has headers and A Short ram. If i replace the stock piping with 3" piping from the Cat- conveter and remove my Resi. Would it work? oh and i have one them fart CAns to. haha

TOWARDS PAISA1990 post. If your car isnt turboed and only a smaller 4 cylinder N/A engine do not put a 3" pipe there you wont get good backpressure and what not but you still can if you want to. 3" and up piping is usually for turboed and higher compression or horsepower cars. Now maybe do a 2.5" piping from your cat to the back of your car (catback) it should do some good. Leave the cat on there though, taking it off is illegal.

Don't listen to this guy. Backpressure is not necessary in any car. What he was saying about getting a 2.5 inch is correct, but its because it will maintain exhaust pulse velocity. In an N/A car, the low pressure behind each pulse of exhaust will help suck the next pulse out of the combustion chamber, increasing your engine's power/efficiency etc.

Ended up getting the N1 cat-back for my '95 GS. Paid like $550 when it was all said and done, installed myself. Sounds pretty good for being completely stock, video to follow soon.

dont bother with a fart cannon or any fancy catback stuff, just a straight pipe with a cat sounds pretty good. In my opinion a straight pipe sounds better, these mufflers sound too raspy and annoying.

All tuner type cars exhaust systems come with a fart can. Whats funny is no one ever talks about the fart cans on the supras that look the same. But they fugly thats why I cut the fart can off my eclipse and welded a almost 100% stock looking obx one on.

or you can make your own exhaust..just get a resi. and a muffler and use that..I'm redoing my exhaust and putting a magnaflow muffler on mine and just have a stock looking piece of piping come out
