Yep, and the music was used on WCBS-TV from 2000-2003 (and in the first few months of this music, the opens were voiced by the legendary Don LaFontaine, who died not too long ago).
No..they only had it around 2000/2001. It was borrowed from network sports for a few months while they were working on our new set. This sports set was a few million dollars and obviously, they would NEVER spend that kind of money on a local news set.
cindy hsu is sooo hot and sexy!, they need to put her back in the anchor`s desk and get rid of dana tyler. by the way kristine johnson is also hot and sexy.
I just remember how fucking weird that camera shot from Staten Island looked without the trade center right after 9/11. Before, you couldn't see the Empire State Building.
Joel Cheatwood was News Director during that time and the name was changed from News 2 to CBS2 Information Network and CBS2 News. The 11PM newscast was called Nightcast.
The newscasts were called "CBS 2 News". The reason it was called "CBS 2 Information Network" because it uses "content partners" or news from other sources such as U.S. News & World Report, the New York Daily News, VH1, and etc...

Wow, I LOVED that old set! That set actually belonged to CBS sports. We "borrowed" it while our new set was being built.

Is this the same one they use today?

I just liked the Grand era. (That was the music used in this clip, and the era itself was from 2000-2003)

During the "CBS 2 Information Network" days, what were the newscasts called? Also, why was it called the "CBS 2 Information Network"?
