  • You're obscenely talented! Keep up the great work.

  • I noticed a lot of the simple 2d animation carries the same subjects as Colin Levy's animation class reel from 2008. Did you meet him in those classes?

  • Hi! I was wondering how you made these? Like what software, your processes, etc, esp. for the 2D animation. I'd love to do animation as a hobby but I honestly have no idea where to start (and I wanted to do something Miyazaki-like, HA yea right).

  • so how much of this program is focused on 2D animation? it seems like the mostly what you did...I would consider going to this school if it was more computer animation aimed.

  • lol, my cat does that all the time. XD

  • Wow nice animation and congrats on video

  • I say, well done.

  • Oh noooOOOooooo, not SCAD!!! I went to SCAD way back when they were a little unknown school. Now, wow, branches in Asia!!! Nice reel. A+

  • excellent work... no wonder you got Pixar interested!

  • Awesome dude! This brings back some sweet memories.... :))))

  • haha, i like the dude with the apples.

  • Wow, awesome stuff! Especially at 0:56 - 1:06! Pixar made a good choice in hiring you, man :)

  • i'm nowhere near your level but this was very inspirational. (:

  • I'm applying for Fall 2010, how good is this program? Considering I don't want to wait another year for Ringling.

  • more of the dude after the dragon =D

  • I know SCAD offers an artistic scholarship just wanted to know if you received one or not

  • Nope, but that would have been nice!

  • did you make this prior to SCAD and submit it as a portfolio or did you produce this while attending.

  • oh and the dog animation is fantastic!

  • your animation is soooo smooth!how many pages did you use for 1:36-1:40?

  • Man, U took it back to the old days, of animations. Im to lazy and love flash (CS4), to much to do that.

  • Hi! I'm interested in applying for SCAD. My life long dream has been to work for PIXAR or Big Ideas and I think SCAD is the right place for me. Can you fill me in on the animation program? Your work is great!!

  • You are Awesome..>!!!!!!

  • Your cat is named "Prinny"? Dood!

  • that is great

  • hey! aweomse man!! what do u thinkof my animation??? id love opinoin!!

  • 0:57 haha! Steamboat Bill Jr! I love that movie! You did a great job animating that. Was that rotoscoped?

  • Yeah, it was a rotoscope assignment.

  • What's the music from 1:15 onwards?

  • A little track I never really finished. Makes decent background music, though.

  • What did you use to make it with? If you have the remaining project files for it in FL Studio, i'll be happy to complete it if you wish.

  • I usually use Reason. This track just never got off the ground and fleshed out into a full track. It's just bare bones. I might go in and complete it someday if I get an idea for it.

  • wow, your work on animation is excellent and I'll really like to see more of them as well of lectures on video game.

if I may ask a favor I've made a few animations on my deviantart page and I was wondering if you could give me some remarks and comment on them.

  • wow. I can't wait to do 2D work at SCAD now!

  • wow you can predict physics really well which is great considering some people lack that capability

  • How long does one of those take? Say, the dog one?

  • The dog one probably took me around eight hours of "sit down and draw" time. It was my first time ever animating with pencil and paper, but it was also partially rotoscoped, which made things go faster.

It's hard to put a specific hour count for any one assignment. Suffice it to say: animation is very tedious work.

  • ah you had webber

  • The walking part was very disney.

  • im thinkin about going to the summer seminar program thing but i dont know if it will be fun????? any suggestions

  • damn ur all making me want to go to animation school lol

  • You did a lot more in animation 1 than when I took it (you did a lot better stuff in there, too). Was that with John Webber?

  • Why, yes it was. I need to email that guy. Great teacher.

  • john webber? is that the guy from disney? if it's who i'm thinking of, he just transferred there from full sail! (my school - i had him in my Character Animation class)..

  • yep! that's him

  • Really good, i especially liked the frog and garfield. Also, the pendulum ones look really realistic. Keep it up :)

  • omg i love the mushu one. how did you know how to draw him? that was incredible. ur a great artist

  • What in the hell were the assignment descriptions? These are fun, thanks again.

  • Ah, now THIS is the kinda animation I just adore. Old-school, fbf, hand drawn animation. Great work. Love the anticipation, and the realistic physics. Very smooth, and professional. I'm also a massive fan of your 3-D work.

One last bit, I love the way the music goes with the animation, it makes it a lot better.

Keep going man, I know you'll get a career in animation soon :P

  • Keep the good work! Are you already in a big company?

  • I don't think this or my 2007 reel are really enough to get me a job. But all of this work in 2D has taught me a ton that I'll be carrying over into my 3D work. I expect my next reel to be far better than both of these.

  • Hard work it's the key of success.. Keep trying... I hope I see your name in the big screen some day :P

  • quite better then your 2007 one but shorter though. but never mind about IT'S GREAT THAT ALL THAT MATTERS

  • neat stuff

  • you are very talented. nice work

  • wow really good motion detail :D

  • Wow, interesting : 3
