I noticed a lot of the simple 2d animation carries the same subjects as Colin Levy's animation class reel from 2008. Did you meet him in those classes?
Hi! I was wondering how you made these? Like what software, your processes, etc, esp. for the 2D animation. I'd love to do animation as a hobby but I honestly have no idea where to start (and I wanted to do something Miyazaki-like, HA yea right).
so how much of this program is focused on 2D animation? it seems like the mostly what you did...I would consider going to this school if it was more computer animation aimed.
Hi! I'm interested in applying for SCAD. My life long dream has been to work for PIXAR or Big Ideas and I think SCAD is the right place for me. Can you fill me in on the animation program? Your work is great!!
I usually use Reason. This track just never got off the ground and fleshed out into a full track. It's just bare bones. I might go in and complete it someday if I get an idea for it.
The dog one probably took me around eight hours of "sit down and draw" time. It was my first time ever animating with pencil and paper, but it was also partially rotoscoped, which made things go faster.
It's hard to put a specific hour count for any one assignment. Suffice it to say: animation is very tedious work.
john webber? is that the guy from disney? if it's who i'm thinking of, he just transferred there from full sail! (my school - i had him in my Character Animation class)..
Ah, now THIS is the kinda animation I just adore. Old-school, fbf, hand drawn animation. Great work. Love the anticipation, and the realistic physics. Very smooth, and professional. I'm also a massive fan of your 3-D work.
One last bit, I love the way the music goes with the animation, it makes it a lot better.
Keep going man, I know you'll get a career in animation soon :P
I don't think this or my 2007 reel are really enough to get me a job. But all of this work in 2D has taught me a ton that I'll be carrying over into my 3D work. I expect my next reel to be far better than both of these.
You're obscenely talented! Keep up the great work.

What's the music from 1:15 onwards?
SenorEuphoria 2 years ago
A little track I never really finished. Makes decent background music, though.
kirithem 2 years ago
What did you use to make it with? If you have the remaining project files for it in FL Studio, i'll be happy to complete it if you wish.

if I may ask a favor I've made a few animations on my deviantart page and I was wondering if you could give me some remarks and comment on them.

You did a lot more in animation 1 than when I took it (you did a lot better stuff in there, too). Was that with John Webber?

Why, yes it was. I need to email that guy. Great teacher.
