Muse, it's possible to combine a record production facility, mob grinder and experience farm into one. Just build a gravity trap that doesn't quite kill monsters in one go but leaves about one heart of health. Then save up some monsters and make sure they're standing in one place. Once skeletons start firing arrows they're bound to hit a creeper standing in front of them, killing it with one shot. Then, when you're tired of the monsters kill them off with your bare firsts and collect the xp.

With your snowballs make a Snow Golem locked with one floating layer of blocks, so you can get more snow from where he is standing. Simple snow farming.

Another suggestion is to use few bones to grow trees and starting chopping it from the top. So you can make some fast wood. Make a bones grinding machine is also a good idea. It can be also the XP farm. =)
