Omg! I Remember My Gma Used to Make Dat Medicine from Her Leaves that She Grows in thaa' Bacc' of Her House. Man, I Hated Drinkin' Dat But Now I Knoe Why She Made Us Drink It(:
i was just wondering, was part of this documentary filmed in vavau with the anitoni family..? it amusses me to see my aunties participating in thi documentary and expressing indigenous knowledge of tongan healing to the world...something that we shouldtake into consideration and should not be forgotten ..
I'm now practising western medicine and having worked in tonga for a while where I witnessed firsthand the medical complications of traditional medicine. I will never recommend Traditional Medicine!! but the belief and trust in our tradition is so STRONG--even my own mother goes to Traditional healers occasionally!!
wen my mum was pregnant wif me, she wanted to go to the Kau m'uli but my father and his father stopped her from doing so..dis is because it was illeagal in NZ.lol...i wonder if i had ever live or died if my mother had went...
ohhh..finally a more lovlier version of the kau fai'to'o...I remember I use to scream my head off when my mom threaten to take me to one of them if I didn't stop eating candy! LoL..dank you 4 da post
Sorry, we can't post the full length film for free. There may be a much cheaper download purchase option in the next few months through our website. Thanks for the interest!
