  • lol i almost pissed my self when he sai i love chu chus

  • Great video, man. Your impressions are very interesting to listen to. Consider me entertained! Thank you.

  • you have something black under your chin.

    P.S. love the video

  • Awesome I Can't Wait P.S. It Won't have voice acting

  • see i like the darkness of the twilight princess, it gives you a sense of urgency in my oppinion. if i were designing the game i would just use use the same kind of graphics and just did the storyline of skyward sword. if you get what im saying.

  • i liked twilight princess i wouldn't changed a thing. And i liked that it was long but it would be good for something a little shorter this time. But the hole side quest thing would start doing my head in maybe.I like it where you got right to the temple in twilight princess after doing a couple of small side quest.I can't wait for skyward sword it sounds intreasting.I know that their wont be voice acting by what it looks like the recent trailers..I think voice acting would ruin the game enyway.

  • Will you at least be able to throw the bombs instead of rolling them too????

And Not liking the beetle thing

  • interesting good job pal. keep it up.

  • hasn't htere been a video nearly identical to this one already?

Main difference would be the - gasp - you...

you look a lot younger now, Axle. O.o :)

  • The enemies go both ways....hehe

  • pause at 00:01

    Its axel. the beast.

  • 7000Merlin

    okay

  • i heard a rumor that wii motion + comes bundled with the game is that true/pls reply

  • you sound extremely nervous at times and its a bit awkward lol

  • the scorpion is actually a mini boss

  • Do You think Majora's mask's story will be explained in skyward sword?? I hope so.

  • ps. theres no voice acting and there IS orchastreated music

  • Thanks man this was really informative. Really looking forward to it too !

  • Please tell me if you disagree.

I think Link in skyward sword is a mix between, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and a Mii Link. What do you think?

  • @2cool4u1000000000000 it looks like a cross od WW and TP, but its actually a link that was painted and tranfered into 3d

  • Hopefully nothing like the water temple in Ocarina

  • Will you have to use the Wii Motion Plus to play Skyward Sword, or can you use the regular Wii Remote?

  • @DrJTP6

You will need either Wii Motion Plus or the new Wiimote Plus that has it built in.

    ~ Caleb

  • @TheZeldaDungeon LOZ : SS has the wiimotion plus included, that's why it's more expensive

  • @7000Merlin its only 50 dollars i know i pre ordered it

  • @DrJTP6 the game wil more than likely be packaged with motion plus, seeing that its probably the first major game to heavily rely on it

  • @DrJTP6 yes u will need motion plus, but it should be worth the investment

  • Can't wait can't wait.

I just enjoy the diversity in all the games; therefore I don't mind the graphics :3

  • First of all, I am really, really looking forward to this game, so dont get me wrong when I say what I am about to say.

I have a few concerns about the controls, theme, voice acting and length/density of this game.

Controls- I feel that having to be so precise about our movements in the game may take away from the experience of the game, causing us to think to much, and not be able to just play.

Theme- I like it dark. Fun, happy go lucky is tedious. Theres no sense of urgency while playing. I

  • @prankstertwins It's not going to be "fun, happy go lucky". Graphic style does not a happy go lucky game make. TWW wasn't like that, was it? Would you say the entire destruction of Hyrule is "happy go lucky"?

  • @prankstertwins FYI, colorful graphics dont mean the game cant be dark, like majora´s mask, it had a pretty depressing story and yet it was full of color

  • I think this will be the best Zelda game to date because it is more action pact and difficult sure it does not have the twilight princess design but this game is not a sequel. The art design is actually good it gives the game its own uniqueness and frankly the majority of Zelda games were attempting to capture biased this design. The only disappointment is that there is not a left handed option.

  • Well obviously I'm excited because Zelda is the only thing that can get me to squeal like a giddy school girl.

Though I'm a tad disappointed that it isn't going to be a sequel to Majora's Mask (My person favorite) Which it seemed like it was going to be.

I mean...didn't they confirm before E3 that the Master sword wasn't even going to be in the game in accordance to all the rumors about sword girl? That kind of made me angry.

However I have high hopes for this...and aerial combat maybe? =P

  • Does anyone know when it comes out?

  • @kennyme12 Probably around March

  • @cooljoey1800 WTF I THOUGHT THEY IT WAS THIS YEAR!!!

  • @kennyme12 Well, they still have to fix up the delay with the Wiimote. and fix the graphics alittle. It'd be cool if it was released towards Christmas. but, so far. its coming out 2011

  • @kennyme12 november

  • @pyrotech8285 I am confused two people are tellling me different things

  • Comment removed

  • @pyrotech8285 Ok I will probably just preorder it when I have the money. How much was it?

  • Comment removed

  • @kennyme12 the game itself is fifty dollors but to preorder you pay ten dollors but the thing is the ten dollors you pay were put down on the game so you now have to pay forty dollors and you can keep putting money down on it. when the game comes out they will have a copy reserved for you so you just walk in pay the money you owe and you get the game. simple ya

  • @pyrotech8285 Ok cool thanks I was confused and had to read that like 3 times to understand.

  • @kennyme12 actualy they just bumped up the release date to april, just a heads up

  • You can also move while selecting items, and the game doesn't freeze.

  • It's just me or Link looks like a girl in the E3 trailer? Nintendo is taking all their most celebrated characters and making childish versions of them. The new Mario, for example, looks like a toddler with a mustache. And the next will be Link.

I also think that the game is too colorful. I prefer the darkness in Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

  • @Mehedlover Alot people like the darker themes, but that just isnt realy Ninteno, they only relesed 2 dark zelda games, and the people in japan love where Nintendo is going. so the West's opinion hardly matters (compared to japan's im not saying they just dont listen to us)

  • I do like cell-shaded aspect and I like the realistic aspect. However those to styles should not mix. I liked the dark-toned art of Twilight Princess. It made the whole aspect of the game feel epic and serious.I don't know how to describe it. Thumbs up if you know what I mean.

  • I think they said that they spent most of the development time on the dungeons and gameplay mechanics. They had just started work on the graphics, so we can rest asure the game will look better. shorter game? I think he said that he wanted to make it in a lesser scale. We'll get at least 20-25 hours of gameplay on the main quest for sure. Voice acting? No way! That can either benefit or destroy a game. We know the dialog will be great, but the wrong voice sound might be its doom!

  • if u watch MrJaxCity's theory of skyword sword it clears up some things

  • i cried when i found out it had nothing to do with majoras mask... i loved that game

  • you kinda look like Andy Samberg =P

  • SHORTER GAME? Noooooooooo~!

  • It's not celshaded..

It's just twilight princess , except the textures are more art-ish

  • While I think the graphics look reasonably good, I'm disapointed that they didn't continue the excellent art style of Twilight Princess. The amount of detail in that game is just great. Oh well, it at least seems less cartoonish and more mature than Wind Waker, and of course gameplay is far more important than graphics. I am very excited about the 1:1 sword play.

  • What happened to your chin

  • orchestration confirmed

  • MM FTW

  • im really looking forward to this game. like i think its gonna have a long story to it. i dont like the graphics. too Cartoonish u know. but lets see how it turns up. hopefully the long shot comes back.

  • Only one objection. Gohma's always a spider.

  • @ShamisenHero Except in Wind Waker.

  • What? A slingshot more powerful than a crossbow? What the hell!?

  • I don't know what to think 'bout this game. You know, Zelda games have never disappointed me, but I gotta feeling his one's gonna do that. The controls are a good idea, better then TP, but... the graphics are... not Zelda-ish.

  • @klippie27 But everyone said that with WW. and we all thought it will be a huge fail. i dont know if you gave it a shot, but i loved it, the story was so deep. and the gaming was fucking awsome. efects are nothing compared to the story, they can put a dot with a sparckle and i wouldnt care, as long as the story is good. i dont know thats my perspective. By the way dont comment back on this acount. if you want to discuss this more. go to my account. MadCrainProductions

  • Well, if this is a prequel, then maybe when Link goes to Hyrule or whatever, he becomes a legend and the new heroes dress like him, just a thought...

  • @sirlinkyalot that sounds about right because it is rumored that you play as the original hero of time

  • Bokoblins first appeared in Wind Waker, they are also those purple skinned big eared gremlins with pants and wooden swords, while Molblins (they didn't appear in TP) tend to be massive and have features like bulldog or pig faces.

Here the bokoblins are obviously based on some kind of japanese folklore lesser demons that are also red, have small black horns and "leopard speedos". If you have seen hell in DBZ, they have the office worker version of these I told you.

  • I have a feeling that the world we see in the trailers and demo is skyloft and hyrule would be a more darker place ( kinda lik twilight princess and the leaked photo of link and the master form in girl form). and it's just the difference of tone/style.

  • @defhawk2010 that would be awsome but skyloft is supposed to be a peaceful place with no enemies or giamt scorpians

  • @defhawk2010 Yeah thats what I was thinking too! Man, that would be amazing, huh?

    :)

  • I think we can be pretty sure that there will not be custom clothing options or voice acting. That would negate the two main recognizable characteristics of Link: the ever-present green tunic and the fact that he's a silent protagonist. I mean, what else is there to him?

  • awesome video @TheZeldaDungeon, im really looking forward to skyward sword mainly because of its story and deeply colorful art work. i also cant want for the Ocarina of Time remake for the 3DS.

PS: Im also a Majoras Mask lover =) it was one of the first zelda game i played.

  • You know what would be awesome? Online gaming like in PH or in ST.

  • Btw: I really like the new Zelda game. I think Skyward Sword will be amazing.

  • i hope they give the story a darker feel like twilight princess. i really liked the seriousness of the story and hope they give this feeling to other zelda games. i know zelda supposed to be somewhat magical but i would like a perfect blend between that and seriousness.

  • The reason why Skyward Sword looks cel-shaded is because of the motion controls. To implement the MotionPlus, they had to sacrifice the nice, dark graphics of Twilight Princess.

  • @132497862837

    I wouldn't really call it a sacrifice...

  • @FunnyJunkTV And this is going to be an awesoem year for Nintendo. GoldenEye re-imagining. Kirby's new game, Epic Yarn. ocarina of Time into 3DS. BTW, who runs the site, ZeldaDungeon? are there groups of people?

  • @132497862837

Are you serious? They said that they could have done TP-graphics and that it would be finished by now with motion plus. But MIyamoto wanted other graphics.. Seriously, don't bullshit so much.

  • @Deffpoised Calm down dipshit.

  • i lol'd when you said you love chu chu's :D and thats great i cant believe there might be a chance of voice acting! ^-^ however i DO fear the game being TOO short :( i love long adventure games! but if the quest is truelly epic then i'll forgive the shortness =) thank you for the information!!

  • it doesnt feel that Zelda-y to me.

    and only eight items?

  • @ropep0202 Less items isn't necesseraly bad. Just look at Phantom hourglass. While you didn't have many items you could do a lot of things with them. Something that was missing in TP. there were many items but you only used them once after you got the. None of the items were actually usefull for battles or finding secrets.

  • @paxpacis2 funny you say that because I specifically dont like Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks as much because the items make for predictable and boring puzzles. even so, nintendo should have no problem coming up with more than 8 items for a full blown console zelda that is not restricted by the DS controls and overhead view

  • I read on a lot of websites that its supposed to take place 100 years before OoT but i dont know if its true or not because you cant believe everything you read on the computer lol but that would be interesting if its true

  • I think that the story will be a prequel to OoT. And that the game will evolve around the war of the triforce, link will probably get or already have the triforce of courage getting him involved. Maybe this link could even be OOT link's father?!

Hmhmhmmmmm....... Haha! Speculating is soo much fun. No sarcasm intended

  • @Meutainer Great detail also causes you to lose visibility. When textures are too busy, it looks too convoluted. Lack of detail is not laziness. look at the great masters of painting. Some did realistic art, some were impressionist or abstract, etc. This game is just another style. It is beautiful to look at, colourful, etc. It is original, not lazy. I would rather have colour than detail.

  • My prediction for the scorpion boss thing: It's not really a boss. It's a mini-boss.

And I'm excited about the game being shorter and denser. Majora's Mask is easily one of my favorite games - dungeons were looooong, but they were few. And also, having less dungeons means acquiring less default-heart containers. MM had about twenty heart pieces more than Oot did. It would excite me if Skyward Sword followed suite. :)

I'm pretty satisfied, all in all.

  • @Meutainer Nope. They look awesome but unpolished, which they are. The "graphics" are still under development.

  • I think that the way Nintendo has changed the formula for this Zelda, as hinted at by the demo, is that (1) the world will be more complex and (2) the entire land of Hyrule will, in a sense, be like a great overworld (and underworld) dungeon. So rather than going just to dungeons to rid the world of evil bosses and villains, Link will be doing that throughout the game in the overworld. You will be limited as to where you can go until you unlock new areas and defeat enemies.

  • Hey man, your predictions were pretty spot on. I, too, am extremely excited about this game. it is exactly what I wanted and more (the little we have seen). I love the idea of a lighter, more colorful Zelda that is also harder. About the game being more dense, with reference to TP's enormous, empty landscape. I think the world in this game will be more compact and interactive; more to do, more to see, less square footage. I think you may be right about the scorpion being a new form of Gohma.

  • The game will be orchestrated, he stated that if they didn't orchestrate it, it would look bad compared to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

  • Link will be able to turn into a dragon in Skyward Sword.

  • hey bro i like ur video but i went over the asks video u r talkin about and i dont think they sed LoZ:TP was too big and they are making LoZ:SS shorter. I think they sed that LoZ:TP didn't have enough ideas in it and that they are making LoZ:SS about the same size just with more ideas making it look like a smaller game.

  • Spoiler ALERT! The story takes place before OoT it is the first zelda in the franchise( it takes place first i mean) i presume that is why it looks the way it looks(besides the fact that miyamoto's orders) and Adel is the skyward sword/master sword.

  • I don't approve of the game being colorful. Zelda is NOT meant to be colorful. It needs to be dark and intense! TP was a step in the right direction. While I'm glad that they're not using toon Link, I'm pissed that they need to do this cel-shaded bullshit. I'm still getting it and I'm 95% sure that it will be awesome, but I just wish they would have leaned more towards TP style.

  • @Chibekoe The only "dark" Zelda games have been Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

  • @Chibekoe I really didn 't like TP that much. It was dark, but it felt like a cheesy anime at times.

  • @Chibekoe THANK YOU! i thought i was alone! i am firmly against SS unless they SERIOUSLY fix the god awful graphics. it looks like someone chugged watercolors and vomited on the screen. i'm outraged that this game is receiving support from the zelda community; it's because of that i'll never get my dark, epic tolkein zelda. i'd rather have a deep, fleshed out, character driven story with dark undertones than fight moblin ass-pirates with the dumbass wii motion plus. i worry about future zelda

  • @tesla311 Tolkeinesque fantasy isn't dark at all--in fact, high fantasy is the lightest sort of fantasy.

Also, Zelda isn't about graphics. It's about artstyle. The art in SS is based on Impressionism, the art in TWW is somewhat Animesque, and TP's art is more traditional. Keep in mind, though, that light graphics don't necessarily mean a light story. Either way, Zelda has a habit of switching between light and dark, so don't give up; you may just get that grimdark Zelda yet.

  • @DaLadybugMan by tolkien i meant full and enriching. there's so much lore they've built up and are forsaking. and i think you should read lotr again- it's very dark; the ring of power, sauron, mordor, come on. also, zelda has ALWAYS been about graphics. always. oot was revolutionary, WW was bold and new and TP was a mature step into a realistic world. ss is totally counterproductive. i hate games made for the wiimote and not the other way around.

  • @tesla311 You got your "dark, epic, Tolkein Zelda" with Twilight Princess. Even some of the scenes and dialogue from that game were taken directly from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I can't believe people like you who hate this game. This game is everything I was hoping for in a new Zelda and more. I don't want a "dark" Zelda. I loved Twilight Princess, but it was a bit too dark for my tastes. My favourite Zelda games are WW, OOT, and ALTTP. None of them are "dark."

  • @bluetube01 do you practice being retarded? OOT was profoundly dark. so was MM- hence, they're perfect. and ALTTP had 'THE FUCKING DARK WORLD'. i'm not against cel shading; i adore WW. TP was a little unoriginal but a healthy step forward. SS is just a stupid bastard child that mixes the 2 games that got the most flack, so everybody's happy right? i hope i'm wrong come 2011 but come on! cosmetically this is terrible and we all know it! i want zelda to be perfect- no wiimotion celshaded horseshit

  • @tesla311 Put your foot back in your mouth. OOT was not "profoundly dark." And being dark does not make a game good. MM was darker, and ALTTP was not dark just because it had a dark work. Was Wind Waker dark? They had zombies and monsters, and giant octopi! Oh my! It is the overall tone of a game that makes it dark. Cosmetically, this game looks amazing, you just have no taste. And the graphics AREN'T FINISHED YET. They have clearly stated this. And how do you know it isn't dark? You ass.

  • @bluetube01 you're right. i haven't been playing zelda for 20 years and i have no idea what works and what doesn't. i haven't beaten ocarina of times a hundred times and dont know the themes and subject matter it deals with. you win. i'm not interested in irate arguments with youtube fuckwads

  • @tesla311 The only one acting irate is you.

  • @Chibekoe Zelda started colorful it should stay that way.

  • Chu Chu? I thought it was a Gel? Since it split into a Zol when you hit it.

  • I expect to see this at next year's E3, like Metroid: Other M was at this year's.

  • whe is it supose to be realesed

  • @jkiop45

they said they were going to work on it through the rest of 2010 in e3 so it should be around sometime in 2011

  • aye thiink teh cel-shaadin iz ghey an' kiddie bollshite.

Also I think I need to reinstall Google Chrome because the only word it's telling me is misspelled is "shaadin"

  • I definitely can't wait for this new game. ZELDA FOREVER!!!!!!!! >:D

  • I'm intrigued. The original lore stated that the sages created the Mastersword, and some of the collectable cards I have (which are made by Nintendo) stated that the sages from Twilight Princess (or older members of the same order) were those sages.

I want to see how the Skyward Sword turns into the Mastersword, as well as the girl's involvement in it. It's very interesting.

    Very good video!

  • I don't think the game will have voice acting, I think LoZ will have the traditional textbox and noises only for as long as it lasts.

  • PLZ STOP MOVING YOUR HEAD, STAY STILL AND TALK

  • @Aidiiii that would make the video monotonous , take some photography classes

  • @luisronaldofigo I don't think you need to take a photography class to realize something like that.

  • cant wait for skyward sword its gona be awsome

  • Can't remember who said, but it was something like "We can't not do the same for Zelda," referring to SMG's score.

  • @coltonblu Mm, yes I've heard that, too. I really hope they have orchestrated music. I mean, come on! Zelda is a big deal for Nintendo and they shouldn't turn their back on orchestrated music for this new Zelda game after not one, but two Super Mario Galaxy games being fully orchestrated.

  • i think the graphcis were gay and like really it shouldrnt have been so like hmm YEA WATER COLOURS but no its not really cool i mean dont get me wrong everything looks sick but link looks so wierd!

  • i beleive aonuma said it was hyrule

  • u forgotn about the ww boat at the end

  • Just a question...why does Axle keep looking to the left? Looking at notes?? Lol

  • Thanks for confirming the whole controller thing. Scared the crap outta me when I watched the video.

  • Comment removed

  • I also think that SS will have a OoT/MM style. It kinda looks that way, because if you remember the enemies in OoT/MM, some enemies are goofy and some are realistic. I think SS will basically have a OoT/MM feel to it.

  • what noob thinks its gonna be like MM jeez its set after OOT not MM or after twilight princess i gota find out more information to confirm where its set but i cant wait!

  • @otaku1212 it comes before all Zeldas, moron.

  • @Over9000Gingers ohh you can prove it?? because if he uses a zora as a weapon then its set after OOT idiot

  • @otaku1212 WTFish? Where did a Zora weapon come from? Talking about the game's place in the timeline and then bring up Zoras just proves you IQ must be in the negatives -.-

Also, the game's story has to do with the creation of the Master Sword, that's proof enough that it comes before OoT.

  • isnt the Japanese version dubbed and i would think if the game is going to be dubbed it wont be in English

  • I think that Skyward Sword might be the lighter version of Twilight Princess to balance out the dark. It's all about the art^^,

  • @NobleClassAngel The only thing I dislike is the Bokoblins, octorocks, keese, and the scorpion. And the fact their is so many Mushrooms...

But I like the impressionist art style (the style Miyamoto was going for)

  • I really hope they make the goofy enemies look different.

What I think is most likely going to happen is that it will be most likely like MM. I think that the game will be a long and tedious quest, but will still have the side quests with developed characters. I hope they will have the four heart piece instead of five heart piece. In the demo, it looked as if the enemies would just take a whole heart with every hit. I doubt that will show up in the game.

  • this is pretty good. I was wondering if anyone besides me thought that the scorppion was gohma! As long as Skyward sword has the boomerang, hookshot, and Ganon(dorf), I will be very very very very very very very happy.

  • To me, the grafixs look great, and everything else that I know about it is good too. Maybe some mino changes, but so far great.

  • they didn't say it was going to be shorter, they said the world will be smaller than Twilight princess's Hyrule, but denser.

  • @ArchedThunder Yea, think about OOT, it had a little world compared to Twilight Princess, but there were more dungeons.

  • GREAT SONG!!!! ITS FROM TWILIGHT PRINCESS AFTER THE START SCREEN xD!

  • But don't we know the origin of the master sword? In Twilight Princess they said that the sages crafted it.

  • what i am worried about is the story. in twilight princess the story was very good but i am worried will the story in skyward sword be as good? also this game seems very much like a prequel to all the other games like u said.

  • People who complain about skyward sword for graphics are just ungreatful jerks, seriously graphics don't really make a game good, theres gameplay, story and everything like that, seriously stop complaining about the graphics and just like the game for it's story/controls/gameplay

  • if nintendo can go back to basics with new super mario bros wii, why can't they do the same with zelda? make a graphically enhanced 2D title that just drops you into the world and requires you to go find the story, instead of holding your hand and telling you the story before turning you loose to explore. exploration is the central component of zelda anyway

  • @grandmaster1824

That's why 3D DOT GAMES HEROES was made :p

  • @leftyrock85 teeth kid is back

  • @leftyrock85 but maybe im guessing that when the game comes out maybe in later years like they did with twilight princess they might make it with gamecube controls. you never know.

  • I think the style is just fine. Nice job as always Axle!!!!!!!!!

  • whens the release date? :D keep up the excellent work

  • @theolderschoolgamer 2011 in spring probably

  • Uh this may be a dumb question, but do you know whether or not you can just plug in the gamecube controller instead of using the Wii remote?

  • @iamverynicesir its highly unlikely seeing that we are going to need wii motion plus to play the game, so it would be very hard to incorporate the wii motion plus statistics to the gamecube controller

  • @iamverynicesir only can use wii mote

  • i knew the scorpion was ghoma al along,of maby a incarnation of ghoma or brother of ghoma

  • wait, the puzzles are gona be harder :( bleep.

  • It´s been confirmed that the game WILL be orchestrated.

But by now that should be a standard even for Zelda

  • nintendo said if they didnt change the art style the game would be finished by now, c'mon everyone its zelda, wind waker was a huge change from majora's mask but it still was awesome, this is no exception. skyward sword is like the windwaker to twilight princess's majora. i cant think of a bad zelda game from nintendo, its in the hands of the masters dont worry :)

  • The game looks a LOT harder than past Zelda games, and that is a major plus to me. I want Dark Link as the final boss, or the penultimate boss at least. The art style is OK, but I won't complain about it because it is necessary to have the difficulty, or so Miyamoto/Aonuma said. I wonder what the story is about aside from the SS/Master Sword.

  • in another interview anouma said there is orchestration

  • ithe enemys do more damage he got hit 3 times by the stalfos and lost 6 hearts

  • I hope if they but Ganon as last level and more difcult not like twlight princess.

  • I want it too look like a oot and tp mix, but cellshaded, i dont like the BIG enemies, i want the original enemies, not new unknown shit lol

  • You are very colorful. Rainbow colored, to be exact.

  • i hope the game still is alive after you beat the main story, i hope there are at least 20 side quests to do, more secret caves and mini dungeons, and when i say mini-dungeons i mean small dungeons with mini bosses inside them at the end, and a much bigger world map.

  • i hav no problem with the light graphics cuz even the lightest of zelda games can be very dark. i think that its awesome that theres hand-to-hand swordplay, and that u can make the sword beams after charging up ur sword. the only thing i dont like is how the slingshot basically works the same as the bow. in ocarina of time each one had its own purpose. what was that last soundtrack u played? i know its the death mountain theme from the original game but what specific soundtrack?

  • LMFAO WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
