I liked Janis Joplin, bought her album and read her biography. It's kind of hard to respect someone who lived her kind of life. Heavy into drugs killing herself eventually. I still like her. I feel very sorry for her and the bad things she went thu. Having said that, I don't think Wayne was insulting her at all. I like him too. This vid was to point out how opposite they were. I think she would have liked it.

I've been to Vegas. I know he has many fans. Yes, it is very hard to find respect for the lifestyle that Janis led. I submit, however, that many overlook that lifestyle when it is a man who leads it, ie., Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison. Janis' soul shattering performances for which she is most remembered, to me, are a stark contrast to Mr. Newton who is more glitz & glamour rather than substance. You are probably right, he wasn't trying to insult her. Rather, it is insulting to watch it. Peace.
