i hope moffat doesnt bring back the master and he is evil again, that would just ruin the whole master saving doctor thing, though, if they have a good reason to make him evil again i wouldnt mind i suppose

@Kryptonian250 That was the Tenth Doctor. Now The Eleventh Doctor becomes dark to save his friends sometimes because when he gets emotional, he makes mistakes...A bloody good mistake though, evil Doctor = Epic storyline!
@motownazn lol, comparing yoda to the doctor, and it actually depends, Star Wars is a large universe evolving around different people and different times, aas for doctor who it evolves around one person and his adventures, so yoda is different ages at different times, well obviously, but it is comfusing and hard to explain
@hessian1235 it's funny that you should say that yoda is different ages at different times. essentially he's consistent with his age, except the star wars saga spans through quite a number of years, and the whole of the star wars history spans through centuries. you can easily keep track of how old he was at what time. i think it's the same for the doctor, but how can a 906-ish year old guy like the doctor tell when a year has passed, really?
@hessian1235 They have a number of similarities, really. Doctor = win when Yoda says in Return of the Jedi: "When nine hundred years old you reach, look as good, you will not, hm?" Aaah, good old Yoda (was tempted to let the type "god old Yoda" be)

Doctor who and star wars borh give me little tingly feelings shwn heroes do something mad, but star trek is like bloody thunderbirds or power rangers, horrible :(
@hessian1235 Well that's a hasty judgement. I've been a trekkie since I was eight, and it certainly rivals Doctor Who in quality and tradition. Not every series was great, but I hear the same from Doctor Who fans about some of the earlier serials.
I happen to love Doctor Who now, but part of why is that being a trekkie, I can appreciate the nostalgia and the canon.
The Doctor's dark side is such an intriguing and simultaneously terrifying element of his character.

Donna Noble stated the reason he needs companions is too keep from succumbing essentially to his dark side.
