Thanks for the test footage! Even though this cam is 2 years old, I'm seriously considering it. Just returned an NX70 (actually the third one I tested) for horrible chromatic aberration and soft focus on edges of frame. Although I can see some CA in your footage, it looks manageable. Also, the Sony AVCHD 2.0 codec seems to have problems with GOP pulsation, I think the 1.0 is better. Still very nervous - this camera is 2x more than what I can afford. Suggestions most welcome. Own a CX550V <3
This camera sucks in low light. Use the zoom juuust a little and you are at F/2.8! Low light with zoom with this camera FORGET IT! I own 2 of these and I fucking HATE! Noisy at 3 and 6db. gamma sucks too. Regardless what you do in picture profile, there is no detail in the shadows (if you want to keep blacks BLACK). The Z7u the blacks are solid, yet, gives you a beautiful detail. This camera is a TOY! I miss my Sony Z7u. Humiliates the NX-5 in all aspects.
Hello man, nice video, I own a SONY FX1000 simillar to this camcorder, my quiestion is what about compression on AVCHD?, I would like to know that because I like this camcorder and I heard that quality on AVCHD looks worse than HDV what do you think?, is this footage the higest qualityy ? thanks !

@formaset - then take the grain down to -6dB - GOD so simple, if You're an expert with this camcorder you'd know - fucking amatures

What gain setting did you use? 0db, 3, 6, or 9? I assume your shutter was set at 60fps.
