It could be argued that Pauly was a nobody in the beginning of the show too. Both Vinny and Pauly were a little quieter in the first season.
The only reason mike was so popular in the beginning was because he had no problems saying or doing something that would cause controversy. So he got attention. But as the show progressed, and mike continued with his antics, the housemates and the audience began to realize he's an idiot.

Mike was the main man in the first 2 seasons and MVP was real funny togther but in season 3 when he came in last and the last place was with sam and ronnie , you could tell suttin was up. Didnt see much of mike only when there was drama no more funny moments that i can say off the top of my head and all that tension between people and mike spilled out in italy, cant believe pauly flipd the script tho was shocked put his boi on blast and that aint nice.
