I'm a Security Forces member serving in the U.S. Air Force and I will be leaving with my Air Guard unit for Afghanistan sometime this summer. after serving the unites states for 7 years and LOVING my job in the ARMY i was wounded in iraq. while drs were trying to save my leg they noticed something wrong. they diagnosed me with pancreatic cancer. talk about a bummer. any of those 14 pople that dislike this or any of youlibral sons of witches wanna come talk to me just let me know i have an open door policy. i am a GOD fearin GUN totin ammo buyin america lovin soldier. come see me anytime yall

I'm a veteran of the first Gulf war and I remember what it was like coming off that airplane back in the States! There are very few things in life that can equal that feeling like the birth of a child but definitely nothing that can surpass it.

You know, I miss coming home from Deployment, you will never find a feeling quite like walking into view as all of you, and your friends ( comrades ) family and friends see you, that feeling, that sheer rush of emotion... is not comparable to any other feeling I have ever felt... I tend to be numb to feelings, but that got me EVERY time....

For all you who have surved in this country and have family who are surving I hope you survive. Thanks to yall who are overseas and who are around. I know I couldn't do that. Like Hank Williams Jr says a country boy can survive. I know that you work just as hard as we do over here but for the familys it is harder. My brother in law is gonna serve overseas in the navy or army I forgot which one but yet I have never even met him.

goin through the first deployment with my boyfriend right now...got the first month knocked out but i cant even explain how hard it is and how everyday i feel like apart of me is missing. loving a man in the military is one of the most difficult things to go through but definitely is worth it when you have a wonderful man. im proud to stand behind him. im an army girlfriend who is waiting for the return of her soldier! hooahh! god bless.

my husband is deploying soon, and no one really understands how it feels to have to watch the person you love walk away wondering if there going to be okay. everyone who is a military family knows what im talking about. i hate those people who complain about being apart from there boyfriends for a week, they have no idea.

even if you dont agree with the war you can still respect and look up to the people giving up their lives. Also nothing gives you the right to trash someones beliefs. I'm from scotland not the usa but i can still respect another culture. Also praying to god only shows that you are not so arrogant to believe that you can do everything yourself and that you yrust someone else to help you.
