It is simply a device in which you add games from a rom site. Roms are games that are run on a program that emulates the original system. For example, say you want to play Super Mario Bros., you need to download the Super Mario Bros. rom file and add it to the system. Google can help you to find rom sites and the rest. Hope that helps.

@coolmom2 It's all software, but I think they fixed they B/Y button problem with that firmware.

@coolmom2 Not great. The built in emulators are not optimized at all. The GBA and NES emulators work perfectly, but SNES and Genesis are terrible. The good news is there is an optimized Genesis emulator that you can install very easily, and that fixes all the issues (at least that I've noticed). Also, some genius ported PocketSNES to the Dingoo at the beginning of the year. Once again, installation is a snap and it runs VERY well. Google Dingoonity and you'll be able to find the emulators.

@Aero0Gamer45 It can! I remember hearing that there was a bug where the combo system didn't work on the Dingoo, though this may have been fixed.

If you want something that can play Mother 3 translated at a slightly cheaper price, I would recommend going to Deal Extreme and getting a "Designer 2.9" LCD Portable Handheld Game Console with 498 Built-in Games". It's a fake GBA that can play GBA games from it's flashdrive or on a cart. But it can emulate other things like the Dingoo...

I really want one of these.. but a used PSP can be bought for less and is more powerful. The PSP is TOO BIG though ;) I like the fact that the Dingoo can be placed in a small pocket. I also like the fact that it uses a SD card which is cheaper than Sony Duo MS. I also think the Dingoo has better controls and screen res for "retro" games. Hmm.. decisions, decisions! :)

I have this system, and it does more than just emulate games. There's a voice recorder, radio, music, video and some more stuff. The sound quality from the speakers isn't good, but it's a lot better with headphones. You can hook it up to a TV, with the cables it comes with. It's definitely worth the $100 it costs. It has like 4gb of internal space and can use micro SD cards. Also, it supports 8, 16, and 32 bit games. Just incase you don't know what he's saying... :P And mine is black, so burn.

One, there isn't a DS emulator out there for the A320. Two, you can just get a copy of the original Kirby Superstar for the SNES emulator. It may not be the DS version, but it's better than nothing.

You mentioned the D-Pad being almost as nice as the DS', do you think it'd be possible to switch them out? They generally look the same. (much like how you can switch an NES d-pad with an Original Gameboy's)
