Buy Red Dead Revolver. It is a great game. I'm a big Redemption fan myself, so I think RDRedemption is better, but that's my opinion. Revolver is an awesome game.

does anyone remember the game "GUN" Don't get me wrong I love RDR but gun was like the first sandbox western out there. It came out the same time as revolver, it was a good solid game.
Twas more than a good solid game, it was absolutely brilliant even to this day despite it being a good 5 odd years old especially its plot & charcters which i consider on par cinematic wise with the likes of Metal Gear Solid at engaging the audience. It could easily be made into a brilliant film. I still await to hear of a sequel of some sort for that game

Because of all the people it puts you in like it lets you play what happened to Annie before red came to her ranch it lets you play what Jack was doing before he went to brimestone and it shows you what buffalo soldier was doing when he was going to brimestone! All of those combine together to make one awesome story line with ALL the characters!
@demonic41700 Multiple characters playable doesn't mean better story (look at COD). The reason I feel Redemption has one of the best stories in games is because I cared about the characters (aside from Desanta, Reyes, and Seth... they can go th hell). I flinched when John was shot at the end, I could see the doubt that he he felt over killing Dutch. I was angry when Jack took over and even went as far as killing Ross' family before getting to him.(kill them after speaking to them).
Funny i conversely find that RDR biggest flaw in the plot (ie the characters), John Dutch Bonnie & Edgar were the only convincing main characters with depth to them which for the most part spend very little time in the game. The rest were either too stereotyped or lackluster to make me connect to them, bar a few like De Santa & the marshall

does anyone remember the game "GUN" Don't get me wrong I love RDR but gun was like the first sandbox western out there. It came out the same time as revolver, it was a good solid game.

Twas more than a good solid game, it was absolutely brilliant even to this day despite it being a good 5 odd years old especially its plot & charcters which i consider on par cinematic wise with the likes of Metal Gear Solid at engaging the audience. It could easily be made into a brilliant film. I still await to hear of a sequel of some sort for that game

@TheTvrulesthenation I agree with you, Gun was a grate game and the story line was grate as well. even tho I'm not a fan of western movies, I would watch a red dead or a gun movie version. The only downside to that is that hollywood will screw it up and take theses epic games and turn them into crap.

GUN was a ripoff released one year later and it even took the slow motion thing. its not like i didnt like GUN, i liked it a lot although it was so short, what i hate its activision (its not their first ripoff, just look at all the COD, you can see theyre ripoffs from different EA games like medal of honor, battlefield, black, they actually stole the interrogation things from black for COD black ops)

@ismael97ripper All I'm saying is that GUN was the first free roam western, and yes activision did ripoff the slow motion but back then everyone was rippingoff the slow-mo from Max Payne. (Yes I know they use slow-mo in many movies but I'm talking about games) Hell, back then game co.even took the free roam idea to. Gun just took GTA, & Revolver and made a game. Like I said I liked Revolver and loved Redemption but, GUN was first free roam western.

@gamerguy209 i sayed i dont hate GUN, i hate activision. and its not the only uncredited game out there, some people think GTA 3 was the first game with 3D graphics that involved car stealing when its actually driver 2, and even when EA its my favorite videogame publisher and producer company, people should know that Crysis is a ripoff of an eidos game called Project: Snowblind, and Dead Space took the entire idea from Run Like Hell and the gameplay mechanics from Cold Fear.

@ismael97ripper I never said you hated GUN & not many ppl remember driver 2 Besides that game was ahead of its time the technology wasn't there just yet. Rockstar (MY fav game co.)Hit it big with GTA3 and as far as ripping games off. That will be an ongoing thing look at the hack&slash most if not all are all copies of passed hack&slashes. They just add better moves or sweeter kills. As long as technology advances so will games.PPL believe Wii did the 1st motion game but the PS2 had the eyetoy

As a stealth game U have Metal gear, splinter cell, Hit man, (3rd person anyways) as a free running game U have prince of Persia & S.Cell but ubisoft made all 3. the only game I can think of that shears Elzio's moves is Marc Ecko's Getting Up. Cuz u have to run and climb up crazy things but thats probably a long shot. So how a bout U drop some knowledge on me.

@gamerguy209 in almost every aspect, stealth, agility, and storyline material (yes i said that): the idea of a brotherhood of assassins with honor, blades in their wrists, stealthy kills with style, different outfits, missions based in memories from a different century, secondary vision type, various weapons, movement and combat mechanics based on agility, long range weapons not being your first option, and the Borgia family as your main enemy.. all that is from Predator Concrete Jungle (2005)

@ismael97ripper I never played Concrete Jungle, heard of it but never played it. I think AC took the whole memory high tech to explain the HUD. Remember "The Getaway" They promoted the game 2B the anti-GTA cuz "It;s more realistic, cuz in real life U don't have a HUD, an ammo counter & a life bar." Yeah, real realistic cuz in real life when U get shot to hell U can lean agents a wall and heal URself. OK I'm getting off track, but like I said games are going to copy other games 1 way or an other

@TheeDarkBatman eh? what U Canadian? First off I'm 28 and what I mean is that GTA3 overshadows Driver 2. How many ppl sit and really talk about Driver 2? Just last night at work a co-worker and I were talking about the ending to GTA3. Yes, Driver paved the way but with the PS2 hardware GTA3 took the 3D carjacking to a whole new level. GTA3 will always live as a milestone in the gaming world, regardless of its predecessors.

this game sucks i played it since 2005 and i wasnt happy with the graphics it was terrible the horses were so unreal the houses looked even more terrible i tried red dead redemption i was realy impressed with the drinking system targeting and how they included slow motion dead eye and lots more it was fantastic fantastico

Because of all the people it puts you in like it lets you play what happened to Annie before red came to her ranch it lets you play what Jack was doing before he went to brimestone and it shows you what buffalo soldier was doing when he was going to brimestone! All of those combine together to make one awesome story line with ALL the characters!

@demonic41700 Multiple characters playable doesn't mean better story (look at COD). The reason I feel Redemption has one of the best stories in games is because I cared about the characters (aside from Desanta, Reyes, and Seth... they can go th hell). I flinched when John was shot at the end, I could see the doubt that he he felt over killing Dutch. I was angry when Jack took over and even went as far as killing Ross' family before getting to him.(kill them after speaking to them).

Funny i conversely find that RDR biggest flaw in the plot (ie the characters), John Dutch Bonnie & Edgar were the only convincing main characters with depth to them which for the most part spend very little time in the game. The rest were either too stereotyped or lackluster to make me connect to them, bar a few like De Santa & the marshall
