I know the answer to the parrot question. Why do they mimic humans and not any other thing? Because imitation is the greatest form of flattery and they want to flatter the dominant species.

Sadly, this episode shows such a big hypocrisy, when they were gasping about the Eskymo boy finding skeleton of his father at a Natural history museum. I mean, yes, for him it must have been terrible, but whom are these hypocrits kidding to? Wouldn't the same be exactly horrible for relatives of neanderthal skeletons, bog men, old egyptian mummies and who know whom else, who is on display in museums, and the oversensitive comedians here wouldn't make any such fuss about?
@CzechMirco Difference is that the direct descends of those people aren't alive. So its not hypocrisy at all. No more then mourning the death of a family member over anyone else is. If that's the case EVERYONE is a hypocrit. So pull your thumb out of your ass and loosen up.
@CzechMirco those who;ve been dead for thousands of years, by natural death or otherwise. is not the same as abducting a child and putting his freshly deceased father's skeleton on display, by those who separated the child in the first place. to not know your parents and to actually find they've been in the museum all that time, you can't really think this as the same thing as displaying bodies uninterfered until millenia after their whole civilisation has gone.
WTF, how is Jo Brand in 2nd... she nailed liked 4 in a row or something. Davies didn't answer any correctly that I remember distinctly. He would sometimes fill in after the answer was given or something. I don't get it, how does the point system work. Or..., what, are the points given only for the general ignorance round?
@Polopalapop Well they all had negative points, so even if Alan got none right, that doesn't dismiss the fact that he won with -7. Basically he just answered the least amount of questions incorrectly.
@mari0301 I don't think you can consider a group of people (panel show panelists) whose livelihood is partially dependent on knowing a lot about what's going on in various parts of the world representations of all of the English people when it comes to knowing about a certain place.
And we have radio plays too, you just have to be able to find the channels they're on.
@mari0301 Yeh, listen to the original 70s radio play of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (you can get it on CD). It's incredible and very very funny!

Kosovo (2008) and San Marino (1894) also have anthems w/o official lyrics.

khan is a middle eastern or indian or muslim name. Could he be of any of those descents?

@ads90100 Might be a coincidence. Though considering Khan essentially means King its definately plausible.

Regarding the scoring, they film the for aprox 2 hours, so we see an edited version. I think this is another reason the score seems WAY off.
