Good message,if your like me, I use to play music before it became a hit, if you have that kind of talent to hear a new song and think thats going be a bomb hit, thats the first thing to get you started. The love of music and hearing as well as feeling the beats. I got started with one turntable and a cassete deck and would just mix with no mixer. Now thats old skool...lol
Good video. Beatmatching is all about practice. You practice as much as you can until one day it just "clicks," and then you've got it forever. It will take more practice to get really good, but once you get the basics down, you're set.
It also helps a lot to have someone there to help you with it. I was fortunate to have someone show me basic techniques in person, listen to my mixing, and critique it / tell me where I went wrong (too fast, too slow, etc.).
It was one of those spur of the moment videos I thought of making while I was at work...LOL... took the video at lunch time, I was concerned my co-workers would think I had lost my marbles if they saw me talking to my digital camera in the lunch room...LOL.
good inspiration tbh

Very good post, spot on. Excellent that you were able to have someone in person to instruct you when you started.
