1994, lightning caused a fire in Col. 14 firefighters died, 1949, Man Gulch, 11 dead. forrest fires kill not only the forrests (yes sometimes they're needed as part of life for revegitation) but they can be so devastating. the cartoon was made to prove a point. BE Careful in the forrests.

Belive it or not the occasional forrest fire is good. Older sequiers need to be cleared so the younger seedling trees can grow, the older trees drain neutrients in soil.
