  • Awesome! I would love to live in Europe where doing this would be more of a financial possibility! Unfortunately here in Australia we are limited to sticking newer high performance engine into older classic cars to get our kicks, still lots of fun tho! Top work!!

  • the testarossa engine its more reliable!

  • Nice job...sounds good bro :) I think the 355 has some of the nicest lines of all time and with that testarossa engine... a 10+

  • where do you buy a 355 and a engine of 512?

    :|

  • i thought the tr was an 8 cylinder

  • who in the world would put a flat 12 TR engine in a 355?

would make it impossible to work on and heavy in the back,

i mean it sounds good but there the novelty end's,

I think the 355 engine sound's better than the flat 12 anyway,

Ok it's a flat 12 TR engine for bragging purposes only,

  • @kirkconway

I think we are on the same way, it could be to heavy for the back, but great conversion.

  • Oh lord.....

  • haha, i love the eyebrow raise of the guy.

  • The 348 chassis was used as a testbed for the ENZO's development. It was quite stretched though..... (in reference to fitment)

  • LOL everyone saying it won't fit in, just one question have you tried ??????

oh wait let me guess you got a 1:18 models of each and tried it LMAO

  • testa engine is flat 12 and wont fit in 355 for fuck sake !!!

  • @houdini69 Then look at the photo links, you Ferrari expert!

  • @houdini69

Ehh I was thinking the same thing...

  • @houdini69 A flat 12 now?

  • @mitchtj

so what does that mean, ?

  • @houdini69 It means it is a v12.

  • @mitchtj

    a testarossa engine is not a v12 it is a flat 12 !!!!!!

  • @houdini69 listen to it... it's not a V8

  • @houdini69 Listen to it - it's a V12. Whether it's from the Testarossa or not, I can't say looking at this video, but it's not the original 355 v8 for damn sure.

  • Great Job I always wondered what it would be like to have a v12 Ferrari engine in a 355. Please post updates!!!!!

  • Testarossa the best motor ever made by Ferrari...

  • hahah very funny. I do like the pretense!

  • Thats almost like sex.

  • testarossas are slow....

  • ferrari used a 355 mule to test the enzo V12, i think the chassis was lengthened a little but not alot, it sold at their auction about a fews year back for about £80k !

  • this is better than porn.

  • Can you please show us the testarossa engine in the engine bay of the 355?

  • sick

  • you are a fucking god you took one of enzo ferraris best engines and stuck it in one of his best looking cars i respect you very much

  • Dude.... are you fucking joking? If you know ANYTHING about cars, you'd know that the testarossa engine was one of the best engines Ferrari ever made, and it's very well known that it's an AMAZINGLY fast engine as well. A riced out honda???? PST... My Focus SVT smokes h22's all day and I've only got 200 hp. This Ferrari would eat anything YOU put against it all day long at a track.

  • Okay lets do that...

    GTR is stupid fast. Win.

GTR has no character it's just a bunch of computers and [literally] PlayStation stuff. Fail.

I drove one at an SAE meeting last year at the Nissan Testing Center in Arizona and although it was hugely impressive and undeniably fast as hell, I still don't want one. A Testarossa has hugely more character and soul than a computer on wheels and given the opportunity I'd take one over a GTR every time. Ferrari is passion.

    P.s. You don't have a GTR...

  • it was probably his goped sport which cost $100 he was talking about.

  • lol it,s just a little kid watch his vids XD

  • dude a GTR is a fag's car

ru a fag? Not that there's anything wrong with being one, i just personally think you are faggy.

  • @carguy12345678910 Nissan GTR is 2010 the Testarossa is 80's tech. Lets put a 1985 Skyline against a 1985 testarossa stock vs stock and lets see how badass your Nissan really is :)

  • @vfIskullangel That depends on the track. The '85 Skyline R30 or R31? The FJ20ET is only a 4-cylinder engine and it's 190hp.. The R31's RB20DET inline-6 is the same, unless it's the RB20DET-R. Even that's just 210hp.. On a short road course, it's quite possible for the Skyline to roast the Testarossa. There's no way the Testarossa would out-handle and out-perform the Skyline in that senario. ;)

  • @epcdaniel Wrong. Unless its tuned its not happening.

  • @vfIskullangel The Testarossa doesn't begin to clear her throat until 4500rpm and peaks its 390 horses at 6300rpm, 500 below its redline. Even if you short shift, it won't pull in the next gear because it's below its peak torque range of 4500rpm. It's not a great car.. On a short road course, I wouldn't hesitate putting my money on the R31. I love Ferrari, but I'm not naive. The Testarossa is for doctors and lawyers, not drivers. It's not the F40 which are for both. ;)

  • @Archangel21416 The original 4.9L engine itself isn't a bad engine, but other parts relating to it aren't great. The serpentine belt system, oil pump and water pump weren't spectactular and the catalyric converters overheated, causing engine bay fires. The transmissions weren't that great either, with 2nd gear syncros wearing out on daily drivers.. and not to mention exploding differentials. So, without "fucking joking", why don't you get your head on. PS. Ford Fuckus SVT (aka POS) sucks. :P

  • Sweet. That's gonna be fast as fuck and sound mint under load.

  • 0_0..... astonishing

  • thats not the point

  • The Testarossa is superior in every way, before and after modifications. Seriously, don't compare a front wheel drive shitbox with a real car.

  • WOW...just wow. A rent a wreck of all cars to compare to a Ferrari...

  • its not a waste because american cars are shit round corners and don't look as good as european cars. even the gumpert is better looking than an srt4. lol

  • Fuck off with your srt4

  • retard

  • @carguy12345678910 Except at the end of the day your still not driving a Ferrari. And incase you haven't noticed, Testarossa's built in the 80's and early 90's... little more technology in an srt4. You are a Retard

  • @RiceKiller191 Actually a Testarossa would have lost to the Buick Grand National in a 1/4mile run stock to stock so GM obvously did something slightly better than Ferrari back in the 80's and early 90's.

  • @vfIskullangel Is it just me, or is it Ironic that the 2 Buick's which were made to outperform all other competition did (GSX stage III and GNX). Also that it was a Buick lol. God i would do horrible things to see a GNX in my garage.

  • @vfIskullangel Yeah. Im an American Muscle fan mostly... but hey, Who wouldn't take a Ferrari!? lol

  • @vfIskullangel depends how you look at it. from what i can tell ferrari cares way more about top speed, handling and overall performance than they do about which car could beat them in the 1/4 mile

  • @vfIskullangel Only the last, 1987 GNX.. And it wasn't even Buick - it was McLaren that made that possible by slapping on a Garrett T3 turbocharger with huge intercooler, performance torque converter, reprogrammed tranmission with oil cooler, dual exhaust, reprogrammed eeprom, and whatever else.. The GNX pulled 4.7 seconds out of the hole to 60mph and 13.5 quarter. The Testarossa still did a 13.5 quarter, but it was a V12 mated to a 5-speed manual, not v6 4-speed automatic. ;)

  • @carguy12345678910 And I can buy a Hayabusa GSXR 1300 and Rape just about any shitbox tuner or exotic for 4k who gives a fuck!?

The Testarossa will always be better than some faggot ass front wheel drive 4 cylinder ricer shit box.

  • I liked the 355 best even after the Enzo

  • same here

  • doesnt spund as good as teh stock f355, i trully believe that stock the f355 is the best sounding car I have ever heard.

  • A testarossa engine does fit and its a flat 12 not a V. there are a number of cars on the Ferrari owners clubs forums that have done this. How did you cope with the heat shielding in the Mini? lol

  • I would say....YOU are a fool! It`s no problem to put the V12 into the 355. Two days work , and the engine runs.

By the way....post some vids from your Super Mini and your Hardcore Clio! -)))

  • its a flat 12, not a v12, but either way thats pretty sick, how fast?

  • have you ever seen inside a 355 engine bay? PLENTY of room

  • @mrlh1423

    watch?v=18Vmhj_3AVU

  • No way, I would have to see it to believe it. Fail.

  • what the heck!?

  • sweet. wonder if an enzo v12 would fit. best engine combines with the best car...

  • theres no such thing as a "best engine." you just need the right engine for the right car. swapping engines could throw off weight distribution, and can lead to a slower car even if it may have more power.

  • True, true...

    You got +1 thumb up!

  • Or you could stroke the stock engine.

  • or big bore it :)

  • fucking awesome.

  • What are you talking about... That sounds exactly like the testa's 12!

  • whats the point of putting an old heavy engine in a delicade and balanced car like the f355?

  • The Testarossa engine, being a Flat 12, is more balanced than the 355 V8, has a lower center of gravity, sounds better, and more horsepower.

  • Sounds better? Maybe in the lower rev range...

But more power? 5hp is not worth an engine swap. Although there is probably a nice gain in torque...still not worth it but I don't know the whole story, perhaps the car was purchased with a bad engine and the owner happened to have a flat 12 laying around.

    Robert

  • This guy obviously has nothing better to do with his time and money. I envy him!

  • Look, I've been studying the Ferrari for over a year now in preparation for F1 and GT1-GT2 engineering and I can tell you right now that everything about that car is off the showroom floor.

  • If you are preparing for F1, perhaps you should be studying F1 cars, and not 355's.

  • I didn't get into the F1 Dream until a few months ago. Before that, I just studied Ferraris and Italian cars, so I still have that knowledge. I am working on designing the Ferrari F2008 with pencil and paper, so...

  • haha this guys been owned, how many people does it take to tell an idiot you cant fit a testarossa engine in a 355? 1, and his name is Metallicakicksbutt, good job, hahaha.

  • Theres a guy on ferrari chat putting a v12 in a 308 which has a smaller bay than a 355. trying telling him he cant do it.

  • I firmly toss th bullshit flag. That's a stock 355 V8 with stock exhaust.

  • That's not a stock sound.

  • You're right, it's not stock. Its a V8 Ferrari with aftermarket exhaust.

  • no its not a v8. its a v12 testarossa motor. the car is currently for sale in germany

  • Yeah forsure the V8 with some sort of inox exhaust...

  • yeah actually I can't say for certainty whether it's a V8, but it doesn't sound very much like the TR's flat 12.

  • It certainly doesnt sound like a 355 V-8 either though. The 355's V-8 has a really distinct sound even with or without an exhaust system.

  • I own a 355. A 355 does not sound like this.

  • no shit, its got a tesarossa motor numbnuts

  • i responding to the people saying its NOT a TR engine, faggot

  • hahahahahahaha

  • Doesn't sound like the V12 in a Testarossa.

  • its a flat 12 but it kinda does..

  • You want more horsepower in the 355? Easiest way is to go to KoenigSpecials in germany and let them twin-turbo charge it to 600hp.Iding Motor of Japan also tuned the engine to 440hp at 9500rpm.Novitec tuned 355s.Why put a 80's testarossa engine in a 355 of the late 90's?By the way, that engine sound is typically V8.I have a CD with Ferrari flat12 of 512S,312T4 and 312PB.They sound NOTHING like this.

  • lol. i destroyed the front end of my Ultima GTR (cold tires) so i put the 720HP Chevy engine into my 355.

  • bullshit - why would you put a big heavy engine in a 355 it would ruin the balance?

  • This is BULL.There's NO WAY they could fit the flat12 of the testarossa in the bay of the 355.Besides why do it anyway. The V8 of the 355 made 380hp and revved to 8800rpm.The flat12 of the testarossa had only 390 at 6500rpm.Furthermore the gearbox of the flat12 was below the engine. In the 355 it's behind.Totally IMPOSSIBLE not to mention stupid.Ferrari themselves would bannish anybody who would do something so stupid.

  • Can you tune a flat12 to rev to 8800rpm & get more hp?

  • I Love Ferraris! Those Things Can Fly!!

  • sweet music
