  • Guy kicks ass at guitar.

  • Nice channel, mate ; )

  • I like this version of nu metal......Hell fuckin yea!!

  • Didnt sound distorted enough for nu metal. Good playing though man :)

  • You plays good but the amp setting and your playing style is NOT the Nu metal style

  • I find no meaning what so ever to show an nu-metal amp if you're not playing it together with what it is made for. Completely useless.

  • no suena a nu metal :S

  • nu metal,hell yea.......ur playing eh.

  • nu metal ??????????

  • @chuckyskeys Thanks mate!

  • great played!

  • BrainBlader wxp24 are right, why is everyone giving thumbs down?

What you're playing just isnt nu-metal, nu-metal is like slipknot and korn, you should rename this video to 'Heavy Metal modeling'

  • he never said he was going to play nu-metal he said he was going to show you the nu-metal model setting on the vox ad50vt.

  • oh, i see now

guess i was too quick :P

  • @Erithlon the setting on the AMP is called numetal, he knows he is not playing numetal

  • where does it say im gonna play metal or even the type of music hes gonna play if u seen hes vids he doesnt play what u want or expect him too besides hes showing us the guitar not what hes gna play..

  • not tryin to start a fight but brainblader is right not sure why ur givin him thumbs down...? nice video tho

  • well he is , but its irrelevant. He is just displaying an amp model on the amp thats called nu-metal

  • now it REALLY annoys me that i can't get good palm muted notes in my squier!it kils me how much difference it makes just using humbuckers!

  • It all depends on personal preference

  • Good, but you need a guitar with humbuckers rather than the weak quack you get from single coils. Good playing though

  • For some reason, I think teles sound great with heavy distortion. I don't know why, I guess they made me that way or something.

  • nu-metal is heavier...u need more distrtion, and you need to tune down to open c (or at the least drop d) and have quite a bit of alternate picking

  • hes just showing the goddamn amp model, hes not saying oooo look at meeeh im so br00tals with my nu metal, is he?

  • the 'Nu metal' amp model is just a high gain scooped model. you can play anything that has a high gain and/or scooped sound.

    as he does.

  • the tone is just ok for nu metal.

but you weren't really playing nu metal stuff.. more hard rock.

  • nice riffs

  • Nice playing. Amp sounds pretty darn good too.

  • cool

  • people are retarded to think he'd play the same bar chords with unimaginable distortion in no musical or melodic fashion, oh my bad i meant nu-metal

  • hell yeah :D

  • Man, I need a new guitar. I have the same amp, but my Squier Strat sounds absolutely horrible with distortion.

  • it should sound good if you set up the guitar in the right way

  • is your squire modified in any way?

  • I got a new bridge from Guitar Fetish . c o m although it didn't really make a whole lot of difference.

  • the best way for it to make a difference is to drill holes through the body making it a string through body. or ya know have someone do it for you?

really how much better are fenders to squires (teles) ? cause everyone is always saying how good the squires are

    just wondering

  • Fender is usually better, no doubt. Better parts. But sometimes a Squier can surprise...

  • i'll just say pray to allah!!!!!!!

  • whats the setting on the amp?

  • numetal.. s all i know..

  • Numetal amp model - eq fairly flat. Gain turned up high.

  • Dude, I like how you play. You should play FR equipped guitar and get right to sqeealing too. Vintage tremolos and tele's sucks donkey's ass. Master the locking trem and you won't go back.

  • What???

    Far outside the nine!

  • hey.. i can't rap to that riff... you're bustin' up my rhyme.

j/k. the first riff sounds more like skid row's "rattlesnake shake" intro rather than nu-metal, but cool demo anyway!!! That's a pretty nice sounding lead tone.

  • hes obviously showcasing the "numetal" tone setting on the amp, doesnt mean he has to lower his playing to nu metal standards

  • amen to that bro

  • hallelujiah! preach it preacher lol

    over zealous... my bad

  • Awesome sounds man. Is there a way to replace the standard fixed bridge with a vintage type of tremolo system? I think the squier 51 with a whammy would be even sweeter.

  • play nextime some Nu metal riffs

    but what ever nice play

  • Awesome.. and with a Squire! Very good.

  • why dont you stop complaining about thes trings and change them, ter cheap enough? and its a shame to use bad strings on a vox.

  • Awesome vibrato and tone dude, totally shenker worthy

  • yeah, this sounds not really like metal because it's played through a Telecaster, if you have a guitar with more metal/distorted pick-ups then it will sound great

  • ok so your guitar skills are way beyont that of playing numetal thats ok, but if you want to try it all you do is tune your low e to a d and just use your index finger to make power chords withing the first 5 frets. thats should get you started. how stomp about the room and remember is all about the phrasing. oh and you need to make a real sour facial expression that is absolutely essential or numetal.

  • Would the amp setting be good for metalcore?

  • yup nu metal and metalcore bands use the same guitar sounds on distortion

  • Hey guys - the amp model is called Numetal - I don't really know how the play the Numetal style. I am only showing off the sound of the amp. Cut me some slack, guys.

  • numetal is bad, and you play good.

    so wicked props to you.

  • you're right rotren. Tele's and metal, lol, na.

Just shows how versatile the tele's are, and how they can play with some distortion to it.

  • not one aspect of that video was nu metal

  • dangit not rotren bambyzas...rotren is freakin awesome...im gonna get the same amp! ...totally awesome!

  • could u tell me the settings u used for this sound i wanna experiment with them...

  • yeh i jsut went to the store and played this amp it sounds alot heavier with gain and shit...i got it too sound pretty good

  • those vox vt series amps are schweeeeet! you gotta get it with an HB to get the true benefit of the heavier side.. to be fair, mr 'not a good metal amp' can suck my balls.. you can get an unbelievable metal tone outta my ad30vt.. ok so it ain't gig- sized but it rips holes in every similar priced amp i've tried- line6 laney marshall peavey..

  • You play very well but nu metal?! NO WAY MAN! For me this is like the hard rock stuff, wich is very good to. But anyway, good amp and tune ;)

  • Numetal is the name of one of the tones on the amp, he's not trying to play numetal, he is just displaying the setting.

  • do have it tuned down a half step?

  • not a good metal amp

  • Real cool!...But what do they sound like with a Rick guitar?

  • Grh, I love this amp :P

Only a month until I get to be a proud AD50VT owner myself ^^

    And as always, great playing!

  • Thank you 6StringsMan! No, I don't do this for a living. It's my "big hobby"!

  • ive watched all your vids, and i wonder if you are doing this for a living, cuz your incredibly good

  • Nice. I think I'll have to get me one of these vox hybrids as a practice amp.

  • Great sound..playing is not bad. Has a blues feel to it...
