  • Beautiful job. The u umlaut in Luftchen should be an [i] as in eager with your tongue and a relaxed [u] as in oops with your your mouth. And please don't breath in the middle of Wanger. Lovely high notes.

  • Thank zou for posting this! Iäm currentlz learning this piece for my class and I am very excited since I heard you sing it! Good luck and and beautiful sound!

  • yOU AREA BEAUTIFUL YOUNG SINGER AND VERY MUSICAL. i LIKE THIS VERSION BETTER THAN KATHLEEN FERIER. I WAS LEARNING THIS SONG IN VIENNA IN 1993. YOU ARE A LOVELY YOUNG SINGER SO KEEP IT UP AND I GUARANTY YOU WILL GO FAR

  • you have a nice voice, but you need to check your german pronunciation. there are a lot of mistakes, and you are breathing often in the middle of words. if you could breathe in the middle of words, this piece would be easy, but it's not. it's quite a challenge, but you'll get it. something that might help would be thinking of it in phrases, not just note by note, to keep the line moving throughout.

  • Too slow. But pretty and good voice.

  • I think it should be a little faster. That would help you with the lyrical inflections of the piece and prevent breaking up phrases with breathing, plus the way the accompaniment is written lends itself to a faster tempo.

  • its pretty good...the singer seemed to get lost a little BECAUSE the accompanist is TOO LOUD and TOO PLODDING!! the accompaniment is meant to be like little waves in a stream, until the end, then it gets more powerful..she has a great voice, just remember, for the romantic era, brahms is VERY chromatic...make sure your g flat-e natural-f chromaticism stays on point...a little flat a couple of times...just imagine it lower in your head, then it will be wonderful...very pleasing voice...

  • Thanks for the insight!

Just wanted to point out that this was filmed with a poor mic (built into the camera) in a room that was an acoustics nightmare! The pianist, extremely talented, went on to win second in state.

  • no doubt....she is very good as well, and using the upright versus a baby grand, perse, does nothing but add to the noise..and brick wall....ouch...great technique with singing through the nose WITHOUT sounding nasally...i would suggest "von ewiger liebe" by brahms, i think it would sound great, suggest that to her..:)
