It wasn't played in the US because it wasn't released as a single. It was available only during Idol, and all the Idol iTunes were taken down the day after the finale. Most US radio stations only play label releases. The Philippine radio stations operate differently. AFAIK, Dave didn't make any money directly from any of the radio play in the Philippines. Obviously, it has paid off in other ways.
