1. I saw this like a week ago.

2. I like that there's a new companion; in the old days the Doctor would have quite a few people travelling with him and it provided a lot of options for new dynamics. With the Last of the Time Lords thing going on now it could be a greater asset.

3. I'm surprised Dr Who has had so few WWII episodes over the years. It's the part of history with which the general public tends to be most familiar. It's well represented in all the historical fiction subgenres.

@aperson22222 In response to your third observation, when the show debuted back in 1963, many of the creative team at the time felt it was "too soon" to explore such a dark period in our history. That's probably why we don't have many episodes set in that period. I do see where you're coming from, however. :)

You'd think that would have eventually weakened by the 80s, though they didn't really do a lot of journeys to recorded history at that point, did they.
