I actually don't mind people playing songs in a different key, it adds a bit of individuality to the song. Love how this turned out, you play it really well and sing it in your own voice which fits the song well. Nice one!

Because it wasn't right for my voice. If you're looking for something that sounds like the original, perhaps you should try, you know, the original. The idea of a cover to my mins is to change, adapt, reimagine and rejig a song so as to give it something different to the original from which is was inspired. If covers were bound to the constraints of the original, they wouldn't be covers at all, but would instead be impersonations.

I think the reason is that to play it properly requires a lot more skill and ability than the majority of people possess. For me, the original was slightly out of my range on the third line of each stanza, and therefore I decided to just bang it down an octave and make sure i could reach all of the notes without trying to break into a falsetto.
