They need to make superstar mode better also. make it more like madden 06, with pre draft drills, an actual draft, email, agents, preformance institute, map of the city, house, etc. I could play madden 06 superstar for hours, but madden 12 i just cant get into it. Skill points was a cool addition, now expand on that and make it more like 06.

The Extra Point was so disappointing in Madden 10. When I saw that Madden 11 brought the Extra Point back again I figured it would be improved at least a little. Nope....the same exact thing. No improvements AT ALL!! It's surprising how awful it is considering EA Sports seems to take pride in their presentation. The highlights they show at halftime and the end of the game are just as bad. You can tell there was no effort put into any of these things.

What's even more sad is the fact Madden used to do this. In Madden 91/92. They would show cutaways to other games while you were playing. I know that can't be done with online franchise but offline it's do able.

yea, I'm big on all 2K football, when sega released dreamcast with 2K football available back in like 2000, I knew Madden was finished, they were late to the PS1 party, and in my opinion never recovered. I think that EA's "Extra Point" is more annoying than it is anything else. It just makes you have to press X one extra time to get the game to go on. Put something in there WORTH watching like this. I remember playing seasons in this game. It was awesome at halftime or after the game to see this.

@dooboy126 NFL 2k5 has, by far, the best presentation of football to date. The gameplay is also phenomenal, but APF 2k8 claims the title for improved graphics, but with a lack of NFL license and consequently, less presentation.

Even today, NFL 2k5's presentation blows me away. Despite playing it for close to half a year, I still hear new announcer comments and interesting SportsCenter tidbits. Things this video didn't show include upcoming draft steals - the draft adds so much to this game.

I still like 2K5's graphics better than APF's. The player models in APF needed work with body builds. The game also didn't look great from a distance camera to me, and the grass was gawd awful. Anyway, I've been playing 2K5 for nearly 7 years and I still hear a new piece of commentary now and then, and I still see new animations sometimes. Best presentation, deepest overall football game ever made. A classic that will never die, and gets stronger each year that another Madden sucks.

Look at the game stats, they are realistic. It doesn't have QB throwing 500 yards or RB running 250 yards every game. Even if these stats are simulated, it doesn't have 10 RB running 2000 yards per year.
