  • What happened to the days when people's taxes payed for the services the State provide? Oh wait, I forgot, they all go to the Federal Reserve to pay the interest that the PRIVATELY owned Fed charge for lending the Government the money they print out of nothing!!! America you have truly been screwed up the ASS by the banksters

  • Don't you people pay city rates on your properties that should go into paying for services such as this? Very strange society you have there! Shame on all of those that stand by and watch.

  • O-o idd WTF

  • Comment removed

  • People do pay for FIREFIGHTER Services... it's called a TAX. Taxes paid are supposed to go towards services like this. This is not an entitlement. If you pay taxes... you get services. Receive NO SERVICES... PAY NO TAXES!!! It works BOTH ways.

  • I would like to welcome all immigrants to the new shitty America!

  • This is Disgusting! What the hell is wrong with people?

Great Post Sis, Thank you x

  • This is so sick, it really makes me angry. Awful. Horrible.

  • Peoples hearts have grown cold and greedy.

  • WTF? r the not public services? How can the fire service watch a house burn? Letting someone drown? It's all about money and not saving lives. The U.S is fuked up!" These people should be ashamed!

  • Please. Why do these people feel entitled to fire coverage? Having a FD is extremely expensive. These people were given a choice to either have coverage or have no coverage and they decided on no coverage. Everyone thinks it will never happen to them. And they gambled and lost. Those firefighter did not stand around to laugh at the homeowners. They stood on standby incase the uncovered property fire spreads to neighbours property. For $75 these idiots lost everything. Nice.

  • @Emsworker68 WTF is wrong with you? Are you subscribed to me? If so, please un-sebscribe... Where's your humanity? NO ONE should stand by and watch people suffer if they can help. My husband is a volenteer firefighter, HE DOES IT ALL FOR FREE! And the fire department was there on sight, how much more would it of cost to save these homes? Less than the Government assitance these same peple will need in the aftermath, NO? People like YOU scare me...

  • @SurvivalWithBushcraf You are missing the point. It is the land owner who decided that if their place caught fire that they would not want the fire dept to respond. THEY made the decision. THEY did not pay the $75. So who is the cheap ones. As a FF I can tell you that the FF's WANTED to put that fire out. But they did not pay and so they could not.How much more cost, well thousands of dollars is all. For us 1 foam container costs $150. etc. It is expensive.

  • @Emsworker68 - $75 for "protection" now... what then? $100 next year and later $200 in four years... then what? That's how this crap always works. Nickle & Dime folks to death and blame them. We need to go back to slower, more reliable community volunteer fire depts who cared... yeah, they're slower but at least they come and do their job & save lives. This fiasco wasn't about the $75 so much as the firemen REFUSED the money (on location) to MAKE AN EXAMPLE to others... and instill fear.

  • @jdhowes1 That is just plain silly. These people are outside the taxpayer base coverage of the FD that responded. That is why they were required to either opt into fire coverage or opt out. Freewill! That homeowner opted out. They were the ones that made the decision for no fire coverage. So why is it that the FD is the villian here? It does not matter if it is a Vol FD or a Paid FD. The area was outside of their tax base.

  • @Emsworker68 We have the same here. The area west of us was as a block allowed to vote into or out of our coverage area. They voted out. Yet still called, thinking we would come and we do not. We only offer auto X for the hwy and that is it. We do not go for VSA;s, house fires, car fires, nothing. When the dispatch tries to send us we say no. Fire coverage here is a privilege not a right. While I do not hold that to be true myself that is just the way it is.

  • @SurvivalWithBushcraf It's an extreme libertarian understanding of the concept, and it's possibly the fairest thing there is. Period.Cause', If the firefighters DO make an exception it underscores the entire point of having people pay for fire coverage, 'cause people that dpn't pay, still, get a "get out of jail free card".

It sucks, I won't argue that. It's pretty close to moral injustice. But it's fair. The fairest youll ever get. And to be fair, you sometimes have to make tough decisions.

  • @SurvivalWithBushcraf So why should the fire department from a neighboring municipality leave the(the taxpaying citizens) area they serve? A fire tax will cost you much more than the 75/yr for the offered service. Why should we feel sorry these people decided to roll the dice and crapped out? They thought"we would get the service for free"anyway.

  • @SurvivalWithBushcraf They were wrong. If there was a life safety issue, then they would have acted, however with just property involved, they have standing orders to protect the subscribers. You don't get cable/phone/trash for free, why would you expect any other service?

  • @Emsworker68 Dude they can bill them later. It makes no sense to let people die or property destroyed over that.

  • @jollyradical That is a possible solution though I can see trouble with that also. It would be in everyones interest never to pay the $75 than if they could pay it after the fact. That would leave the dept with no operating budget than. That would mean no dept to respond in the first place. The other solution is for the deptment never to respond outside their tax base in the first place. I think that is the best solution.

  • @Emsworker68 You wouldn't pay $75 after the fact, but a whole lot more. Insurance is one of the most profitable industries out there and some fire dept. operating budgets are less than a $100 per capita. There's no reason why a fire district cannot function like an insurance company. You can pay $400 a year or $28,000 after an emergency call plus property damages.

  • @Emsworker68 We expect fire protection because we pay taxes. We expect more for our money than fat lazy cops gorging themselves on doughnuts and shooting people in the back because they dont want to have to run to chase them. We expect more than fat lazy firemen too lazy to put on their pants and put out a fire or try to save someone.

  • @Emsworker68 If you really are a EMS worker I will bet you are a SHITTY one. I wouldnt want you working on me or my family

  • The fire bureaucracy has also been corrupted. The fire chiefs are connected to the police chiefs and both kinds of these chiefs are molesting their children and grand children and setting up their babies with their police recruits. The bureauCRAZY is on it's last leg. Make your own fire plans. Build an Earth Bag dome home.

  • Holy shit. I hope they had donuts while they watched. America it's a wonderful place. Home of the free and land of the brave. Damn they used to do that to blacks now they do it to their own kind and it's fucked up funny.

  • Greed is Good and in God we Trust. The same for medical industry

  • Yea and you know who starts those fires? 75$

  • LOL people actually think the Government Cares about YOU, They want you dead, they want all of us dead, and our houses burnt. We need to be controlled and there are to many of us. This is all spoken of in the bible, People will be destroyed, for lack of knowledge. Jesus is the only way, his love is deeper than any ocean, and endures for eternity. Say yes!

  • @george7981 AMEN!!!!! YESSSS!!!!

    SHALOM<3

  • That is sooo fucked up! People, wake up at last!!!

  • where did the good Samaritan ideal go? thats just insane.

  • Thats how it worked in the old days, if you were in a diff district you have to wait for that fire dept,

  • If the house or the person in the water were judges and did not pay the fee, guess what? The way the US system is set up, it only protects the government, not the people. Next time you have an emergency, call and tell you are Judge Joe Whatever and see how they react.

This situation has happened because most people figure that the government, even local, is working on their behalf and do not get involved. So, we deserve the government we have, a sorry situation for the uneducated.

  • So sad the people that didn't help are really messed up, fire them all and stop their the services who needs that kinda help, can't you just help out someone in need and then bill them for it holy crap, that might be to much because of the stamps huh.

  • I guess the days are really here...the really bad ones that so many different ancient peoples and religions have warned us about....and it's our own doing. Earthquakes happen, Tornados happen, Tsunamis happen, what happened to helping your neighbor, loving each other, do unto others as you would have done to you, The Golden Rule? I would never ever train to protect life and property to stand back and watch someones home burn!!! or someone drown!!! Damn the paperwork.. Do the Right Thing!!!

  • WTF HAS HAPPENED TO SOCIETY???

  • Assholes

  • This is why I'm a prepper.

Don't need or want anything from this government.

  • THAN FUCK EVERYTHING DON'T PAY TAXES.

  • @Fujisuka and buy your own fire hose

  • vote down their budgets

  • Why are the citizen's of that county not suing the Mayor and council members,no wonder this type of shit goes on every body stands there and takes it,shameful.Do not blame the fire or police departments, blame yourselves,The people of Tennessee are cowards this is the same shit hole state where pigs can pull you over steal your money and say you have to prove that this is not drug money, unbelievable, disgusting,Tennessee you get what you deserve and any other communities out there in America.

  • Go on and thumb me down but i do agree with the fire dept on this one. The guy thought he was going to get it put out for free. This is like not having home owners insurance then complaining when you try to make a claim and it is refused. That $75.00 is probably cheaper then if he was being taxed for the fire service " Just my OPINION"

  • sick fucking world...

  • and we hold firemen as heros in our society?

  • When it comes to following rules, they follow the rules diligently to the letter with admirable precision when it comes to forcing us the 99% to comply to their NWO police state. But... when it comes to applying the same degree of rules to the 1% and corporate global elites, forget it. It does not apply. They have a 'get-out-of-jail' free card and system that protects them - the elites. Don't be so naive to think the rules apply to them. It does not! The elites control most media.

  • Wow its always about the almighty dollar.

  • US has more lawyer per capita then any other society in the world. Everyone is afraid to get sued. I'll bet their all jews too!

  • Yes the logic... It's okay to follow strcit rules and guidelines when a poor person cannot afford to pay $75, but when it comes to corporate bankers to STEAL trillions of dollars and have thousands of homes taken, that NOT ONE of the bankers are held accountable for mal practice and not one is made to go into jail! It is okay to follow strict rules to send SWAT teams to invade a house in possession of some drug, but it's okay for the U.S. Gov. to secretly run drug trafficking in Afghanistan!

  • If I was around there, I would have given the $75 to them to pay the damn fee. So much for firemen and compassion being in the same sentence. They only do what they're told now? :( Hmm.. Sad...

  • @Babylonsking guess what? It IS going to get far worse AND FOR EVERYONE, YOU, AND YOUR DAMMING ASS TOO! All of you, who continue to believe that it is the American government, are only fooling yourselves and basking in YOUR own, false sense of security, just like the American Citizens were, and how the really blind, deaf and dumb, still are. Just a heads up. Take heed! It's happening everywhere, if you are so occupied with what's going on in the US, chances are, your own bed is probably infested

  • "It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity." - Albert Einstein

  • Shame on those firefighters. I'd clap if someone took a flamethrower to their homes.

  • Mother Fuckers Will Burn In HELL . WHAT YOU SOW , IS WHAT YOU WILL REAP

  • Sickening. If we listen to that lawyer we see that the nanny state lovers contribute to this type of thing without realizing it.

  • did CNN report this ??

  • @tareqjj I believe in one instance or another cnn, foxx, msnbc and several other outlets featured this in a very small and short fashion...

  • Crazy and insane.

  • And you think we are not surrounded by sheep?

A man would be eaten alive!

  • This is what's happening on OBOMBERS watch: What a champion he's been to all the American People while introducing a POLICE STATE run by the ISRAELI Command..Why pay your Taxes if this is what you can expect from your State or County resources. Well you people deserve what you get these days judging by the resistance you all have to BOMB every Innocent Nation on the Planet back to the Stone Age. You Will Reap what you Sow sorry Americans. Tough Shit and it's going to get Far More Worse Soon.

  • This is beyond reality,

People The Entire System Is BROKEN!!!

Heads should roll because of this!!!

  • only in america

  • show me the money...

  • Money is more important than saving someone propety, what is 75 dollars, that like 60 pounds.im sure his carpet in the house is worth 500 dollars!

  • @TheDrfreemason

I suppose if they put out a fire for someone that does not pay the yearly fee then others will stop paying the yearly fee, they will think their fire will be put out for nothing as well. If people stop paying the yearly fee there would be no fire service.

  • If you disagree, then should the fee simply be mandated as a tax? All this is, really, is an analogue for the health-care debate. We don't let doctors opt to let poor people suffer in an emergency just because they don't have insurance. Why let a family go homeless?
